I cannot run Red Alert 2 because of a Fatal string manager error(topic)
 .how can i make this game work? below is details about my comp and other stuff that will hopefully help you. My Comp -running vista Other -patch will not install because of error -have the CD Game -running game from command and conquer first decade | |

hmm greetings
to solve this problem..maybe you need to go to the folder where you installs Red Alert 2 and set a compatibility mode on it...by right clicking on the GAME.EXE and choose properties, after that go to the menu "compatibility" and set it to "Windows 98/ME" that should solve the problem well good luck  -------------------  | |

just right click on the shortcut on your desktop or wherever it is and choose the option i think its the 2nd one run as administrator. it worked for me
