I'm wondering what everyones thoughts are on Colorless Demon Souls. What item do they use them on and why?

I'm using them on a White Bow so I can know the stats since I can't find them posted. Aside from that I think I'll use it on Blind. You?

I used them on my blind on one account. And on DBS on the other. My newest account I'll use them on the adjusticator shield (not spelled right)

I have a hard time deciding as well I figure I'll use it on my dark steel shield since I'm not sure. Do you mind telling me what blind does since I can't look it up at work?

I don't have Blind yet but the site I use says this about it, which is why I want it:

70 Physical Damage 0 Magic 0 Fire. 50 Durability. .1 Weight. Requires 3 str, 24 dex. Gains only from Dex with an S modifier, (the best).
"Ignores Shields
Can be upgraded using Colorless Demon's Soul
+5. With Dex of 99, +210 Attack"

I want it since it ignores shields and weighs so little I assume you can swing it a lot without stamina issues. It's under the Curved Swords section at the site I use.

If you like using a shield, then I'd upgrade either the Adjudicator or Dark Silver shield. Dark Silver if you don't use attack magic, Adjudicator if you do.

If i were you i would use it on something you either love to use or a weapon that you think looks bad ass and don't care about how much damage it does.

dark silver shield or white bow is my vote

Using CDS on White bow is a waste, since Sticky Compound Long Bow +5 is the best bow in the game.

Now you either use it on Dark Silver Shield, or anything depend on what stats are you focusing on. Most people use it on Adjudicator, or the Phosphorescent Pole, and if your a magic based build I have heard about people using it on Kris Knife, and also Baby's Nail.

sticky com bow is only good if you're using a high dex build.

cangri, you need to keep in mind that not everyone plays the game the same way. try not to limit your advice to "the best". keep in mind that he could have shitty dex and make the bow bc he was told its the best..

Well the Sticky Bow is really the best bow in the game. And it has the best modifiers, but you are right, it all depends on what attribute you are focusing. But if your going to use a bow you need high dex, so that doesn't make sense at all.

Secondly, the White Bow only have a E in Str, and D in dex at +5, so the boots is not going to increase in the long run. Also, we aren't counting on what arrows are you going to use, because that also add to the dmg.

Actually, I've had the Lava Bow do more damage than the White Bow when you have too low a dex to make a sticky bow worthwhile. It's got shorter range than the White Bow, but it has 100 fire attack in addition to its 50 physical attack.

Aeirou is right about the whole "best" weapon thing. I mean, most people would say that the meat cleaver is the best melee weapon. That is unless you play a character focused on magic instead of str, dex, and/or faith. Someone with a weapon that fits their build will crush someone using the "best" weapon(s) without the stats to back them up.

Ok, I do get the point of the all "best" thing you guys are complaining so much.

First of all, if you going to use a bow why not use the best bow that takes advantage of the S in dex. Secondly, the compound long bow needs a str of 20, and 12 of Dex, as where the White Bow needs 30 str, 24 Dex, now I know it requires less str since bows are 2-handed weapons. Still if we take to the point that both guys, like let said I have the Sticky Compound Long Bow +3, and let said you, Geiger, have the White Bow +5 and we are both using Heavy Arrows, and both have 30 str, and 24 dex, who you think will be doing the more damage?

Now, let said you are using a magic build, and you want to use the Lava Bow, still E in magic is not going to make a different in the actual damage, but you still need 21 str, and 16 dex. So you still bumping up your dex. So the sticky long bow will do more damage either case.

You know how many times this has been discuss in GFAQs... alot.

Now, I do really understand the thing about the Meat Cleaver, but like you said it "IT IS THE BEST MELEE WEAPON", and note I said melee no magic. Why would a magic based build will use a Meat Cleaver, again you have to use logic man.

im using the quality longbow temporarily because the str and dex is even. because im heavily faith based.

Faith based... I was going in that route, but I decided to heavily focus on Dex, and some magic, and faith as well.

So you getting the Large Sword of Moonlight? Istarelle is good as well, I also heard that the blessed knight sword +5 is nice too.

atm i am using blessed axe +3 because the event made miralda easily accessible.

but ill be going for moonlight soon

my thief is heavily DEX based, but i find magic dmg is a better hybrid for PvE and PvP. everyone uses warding... or pulls the cable.. cowards..
