So I have been playing for a little while now and love the game. I have read ever scrap of information I can online about the game and I am completely confused when people say "help someone kill X". I want to ge the guillotine axe from Miralda and understand getting PBT in 1-1 but I have no idea how I am supposed to help someone kill the tower night in 1-2. If someone could explain I would appreciate it.

Also... I have read about the different servers and how one if friendlier than the other but I dont see where you select a server. When I load the game it gives me the online interaction notification and goes to the new game / load game screen. I feel like I am missing a large portion of the game without being able to interact with other players. Please explain what I am missing.

I see people looking at the post but not responding. That means it is either a huge secret or people are too lazy to reply. Please take 3 minutes and help a newb out.

To help someone kill a boss, which is the objective that a blue phantom is set, you simply need to find its weakness or just tear it to shreds till it falls down dead. When summoned (After using the blue eye stone to set down your summoning seal) you will have to help them reach the boss' area, when you do reach the fog before the fight, they will need to walk through it before you can join them in the boss fight.

Killing the Tower Knight can be done in a multitude of ways. The easiest is to have two players taking up sniping positions either side of the Tower Knight, up on the ramparts. Its attention will be focused on one player, leaving the other player free to attack its exposed back.

If ranged attacks aren't your thing, you can attack its feet till it falls over and then attack its torso, repeating the process everytime it gets up. Though this method puts you in range of its melee attacks, so you may want to wear light armour so that you can evade the attacks. All you need to do to kill it is to attack when its shield isn't in the way.

As for the servers, though the games themselves aren't region-locked, their servers are. You can only access the Japanese servers through the asian versions of DS and the American servers via the American version of Demon's Souls.

I am probably the only person in the world using the temple knight as my base class and I had no problems killing him the 2nd time I tried. (the first time is obviously to learn his combat moves, where those archers are and so forth)I find the halberd he carries is a wonderful weapon, yes a little slow but jebus christ it hits like a ton of bricks. What I did was clear the archers first then walk right in front of the tower knight. When he raises his shield to squash me like a bug, I ran right behind him (the shield smash radius behind him is very short) and proceeded to work over his feet. It was very easy.

actually tower knight is one of the most played classes.. as is knight, soldier, and mage, the least played are barbarian and priest... which is why i rep priest now lol.

In Soul Form you can lay 2 different set of stones.

Blue Soul Stone leaves your mark on the ground so that another player your level range may summon you. they have to be living with the boss still living. you can only summon up to 2 blue phantoms if you are living.

Black Soul Stone allows you to invade another players game with the objective to kill them and regain your your body while placing them in soul form. or you can die without consequence.. so long as your ar killed by another player.. falling off or death by traps while you are invading costs 1 soul level.

While you are in body form you can lay Red Soul Stone.. this stone you can only get by killing the maiden in black during the end game.. must like the blue soul stone it places a mark upon the ground allowing you to be summoned by a host near your level. you invade as a black phantom, the only difference being if you die AT ALL you lose a soul level, but if you kill the host, he loses a soul level.
