brainstorm, free mode, and the lack there of...if ur characters & weapons all reset, then a free mode would be rather dull since all involved would be at..LVL 1...free mode is, or rather was a mode that until now was in ALL warriors games (minus the gundam series), it was a single battle and the player selected from many options, character, battle (where at), force, or in other words, play as any officer in any battle on any force...

Saki - Ah yes, I understand now. Thank you.
Cypher - I thought that's what it was. Thanks to gamestop, I can't play this before I go away. I'll just say what people think of the game when I come back. ------------------- Spiritually ravaged. Morally confused. This fool who tries and tries again. But always doomed to lose.

I don't like how they took out musou mode, or unlocking charecters (the replay value to me for the non-emire DW games). I also miss my bow and bodyguards

u are getting clear points, u have to load ur cleared save data and go into the bonuses menu to select what bonuses u want to start with, weapons and the 10 & 50 thousand gold picks r reccommended, b/c with the 50,000 gold u can go to train 1st thing and get almost everything b4 ur 1st battle, awesome, lol
and as for the animal missions, yes they r boring, but if u get the true speed training ability u move soooo much faster, plus ur stronger than the enemies r ready for, also, try playing with a friend, one of u babysit the useless villagers or escort, while the other completes the side missions, of course u will need at least 1 friend as a vagrant or officer to do this.... -------------------

I actually really liked it, I mean, they didn't bring all the characters back, but at least they braught back one, and made him bad-ass, seriously, Meng Huo is one of my favourite characters to use now, his true speed is amazing, it alone can take out an entire base, and the cloned movesets that were fixed in dynasty warriors 6 special, have been braught to dynasty warriors 6 empires, and since I don't have a ps2, I wasn't able to play special, so this is my first time with the new movesets, and I have to say, they're amazing, Ling Tong's and Zhang He's being my favourite.
The Only thing I'm maybe not so keen on, was the length of each battle, I mean, 3 hours is fine for one battle, I wouldn't mind that length, but Yellow Turban Rebellion took me 3 days to beat, thats a bit crazy don't you think, I know they're probobly doing it so you have enough time to max out your character and army, but I just felt it was a bit too long winded. -------------------

I have to admit that the game dynamics has changed. I'm still undecided if I hate it or not. But I will say it's different. The AI for LuBu is high so beware but I still have a complain about how the game looks very dull as far as the character rendition goes.

Kromos: Clear points are done when you beat Empire mode, and when you save the clear data, continue from it. This is where the clear points are going.
And me, I'm kind of on the fence with this game. I like the Warriors games, especially the Gundams and Orochi. What I don't like is that I can't seem to ever find the gems I want I love the ability Phantom Hand, but when I have two parts of the gems, I can't get the third for like an hour and a half of missions. All in all, I have few problems with this, and the problems I have aren't really that bad, just minor annoyances. First, the rock throwing enemy types. If you ask me, they need to go in a big freaking hurry. I was level fifty on a custom character, with five great abilities on his weapon, double active for maximum pain, double attack, double defense, and I was fighting Cao Ren. I get into a basic combo and a rock comes out of nowhere and hits me. Now I don't give a *Beep* about this, but when my combo is interrupted, Cao Ren hits me and makes me dizzy, and my team isn't anywhere nearby. He charges up and kills me. Now I checked the info on him later, he was level twenty five and he killed me with four hits all because of that rock throwing mother*Beep*er. It's a personal thing, but they have to go. Get four groups of these *Beep*ers together, that's twenty by the way, and they tend to throw nonstop until I unleash my Musou attack on them, and by the time that thing finishes charging, I'm a sliver from death and there's plenty of archers around and I'm four hundred guys from taking the base to get the health. The rock throwers have to go, or they need to be a unique unit that is only one guy and he only shows up at the main camp, once per level at the most. Another thing that ticks me off, the bonus points. I've got a lot of them, but I can't get the Emperor one. I play as my custom guy because he just looks awesome. Tribal hat, long silver hair, cavalry armor, blaze pants, skull gauntlets, skull shoes, mostly black. The gauntlest are red, the rest is black anyway. Muscular, max tall and thin, samurai voice one click toward deep, and the staff fighting style. No my problem is, can he be made emperor or do I have to be one of the main guys for that? I don't care about the bonus stuff, I'd just like to know how to get that one. My last problem is in the Achievements. To be perfectly frank, they suck. They just, suck, and that's all I can think of them. Play as the character, unlock an achievement. Beat a campaign mode setting, unlock an achievemnent. Beat the game once, you get the idea. That's it. All characters, all campaing settings, beat the game once. That, is, it. It sucks more because they're all 'secret' until you unlock them, and they don't even get interesting titles. Because of this, I don't even want to unlock them now. I will later, but I can't really enjoy getting an achievement that is that freaking easy to get. Oh and I just thought of something. To those of you that say this game has no free mode, it's just one big free mode if you ask me. That's my two cents on that. Feel free to say what you want, that's just how I feel. Now that I'm thinking, a rare occurance when I'm not writing my fanfiction these days, I'd like to see a more involved character creation system, like they have in Fallout 3 or Oblivion. Different hair, customizable faces, eye color choice, maybe even a better selection of skin tones and some more clothes. If they're going to give you the option to make your own guy, let the gamer have some real fun with it. Make a demon or an angel character, a guy from the future. The character is custom, why not go so far as to have a list of things they'd say when taking a base, beating an enemy, finding an enemy, and a personal line for the thousand kill. Oh, that's one that slipped my mind. Kills. Too easy. I get a thousand every mission, and it's too easy to rack up a thousand kills. Hell, the very first mission I did, I got two thousand in under ten minutes, with a level one guy with a level one weapon and the double special ability. I didn't even go nuts with it, I just ran from base to base and after about eight and a half minutes I hear my character go 'I am a true warrior of the three kingdoms' twice, and I missed the first time. I was kicking so much butt, I completely lost track of my kills. That never happened before. I like this game, but I think I prefer Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 a lot more, and I've pretty much beat that into the ground at this point. It's good, and it's got it's share of fun moments, but I think the next time I hit my local Hollywood to return this, I won't rerent it. You know, this season has some slim pickings for games what with Bioshock 2 being pushed back. I'm a picky gamer, and I only play the best, but if this is the best of the season, I foresee a ton of bored moments kicking my best friend's butt for the umpteenth time on, whatever game I play with him. ------------------- *I brake for catgirls and fire fights*- My ideal license plate.
