Onto the Arrivals, Gonzalo Higuain was the first for £9.25M, the Wondeerkid was brought in to replace Pennant and be a rotation player with Dirk Kuyt. Mickael Chretien was the next which would sort out out Right Back problem. In January after not having a good League campaign by that time I new I needed to strengthen team. The board were kind for once and gave me an extra £20M to spend, that went on Simao, I needed another winger of some sort because the crossing into the box was really crappy. Rodrigo Palacio was another arrival which we really did need as we were just not scoring the goals we should do, I was hoping he would fire some goals in for me. ![]() Premier League Pos 6th|Pld 38|Won 17|Drew 13|Lost 8|For 50|Ag 31|GD +19|Pts 64

Summary of end of utd first season.
Transfers Was happy with my signings, got a few youngsters in and Balotelli has probably been my best. Aguero unfortunately been an injury problem this season. Champions League Started off difficult when I had Villareal, Juventus and Cluj in my group and only got through 2nd place but luckily drew Porto instead of a bigger team. Beat them, then had Barca who were much more difficult but couldn't stand in my way. Real Madrid in the semi final and managed to beat them 1-0 at home with Rooney scoring, and got a 0-0 draw at the bernabeu to go through to the final, where I beat Arsenal 2-1. Fa Cup Don't remember too much about it but I know I mostly got high placed championship teams or relegation battling premier league sides. Beat Chelsea in semi final and beat Villa in the final on pens. League cup Knocked out in the 3rd round to Chelsea by playing youngsters while they played their best team. Was 2-2 and they beat me on pens. Super Cup I dominated Zenit but couldn't break them down and was 0-0 and went to pens and lost 8-7. Community Shield Way to early to remember but I won 3-0 Club World Championship Beat some team 3-0 in the semis with Balotelli getting a hatrick and beat osaka 4-0 in the final.

The Power, that's a lovely presentation of your season there. Although your results have been quite unsatisfying I must say. I bet you must have been gutted to get Barca so early in the CL stage. Did Barca eventually win it in the end? I think Torres' performance throughout the season seems a little beelow par, however, you should be getting some silverware if you can get things right next season.
Any plans on signings? RD4L: A not so good presentation, spoken in terms of markup etcetera, but your results have been pretty good! what formation and tactics are you playing? Also, how are your strikers performing? ------------------- And it’s all in my head But she’s touching his chest now He takes off her dress now Letting me go

quote ViNCeNZoK, I'll work on it =) I usually play 4-4-2 with right back and left back with arrows forward and the same with the wingers but I like to keep it as simple as possible. Rooney scoring about 20 goals that season and being top scorer for me pretty much sums up that my strikers were missing a lot of chances. Anyway i'm in September in my 2nd season and i've won the community shield by beating Arsenal on penalties and won the super cup beating Shakhtar 2-0. I've signed Rene Adler for £20m, Fazio is coming in at January for 16.75m and i've also signed this spanish left back regen who looks a great prospect.

Derby County I'm always Derby on my first game, and 2009 will be no different. First Season Well the first season went really well IMO. Had a bit of money to spend, about 2 million, which i thought was reasonable. I decided to concentrate on the defence, and not conceding which worked quite well. Here are the signings i made: ![]() ![]() Emiliano Insua: (LB) Great loan signing, played in nearly every match and was extremely reliable and solid. Would buy him permanently but is out of my price range. Beto: (CB) Solid centre-back, very cheap, and his value has shot up, but i don't think he'l cut it in the premiership. Michael Morton: (DM) A mate told me he was good, so i thought why not. Looks decent but got injured for 6 months! so cant make a judgement yet. Alain Nef: (RB) Fans Player of the Year. Awesome right back, played nearly every game as well, was solid chipped in with plenty of assists. Tomas Guzman: (AML/C) Was co-owned, so signed for 600k in total and worth every penny. Scored a few wonder goals and plenty of free kicks, as well as regular assists. Flair player who creates something out of nothing. Diego Tristan: (ST) Considered buying him, thanks god i didn't. Loaned him, he played about 5 matches and i got rid of him. Looked awful for me. Abreu: (ST) Top scorer. Quality player, not sure if he can handle the prem though. Alexander Tettey: (CB/DM) Only signing in January as i needed another centre-back. Played really well for me in defence, relatively young as well. Other notable players Emmanuel Villa: (ST) Second Top scorer, played well all season. Rob Hulse: (ST) Was my back up striker all season, but scored lots. Would make a good striker for any Champ. Team. Kris Commons: (AM LRC) Great winger, can play on both sides. Got the most assists. Would recommend to any championship team. Players Out Needed money for transfers, so got rid of as many as i could. Glad to have got that much for Bywater, Teale and Leacock. Wasn't sure about selling Nyatanga, but he wanted to go so managed to squeeze 3m out of QPR. Final Table ![]() ![]() Was very happy with that. Reading were awesome all season, although i did mange to beat them 4-0 (bolded that, just in case you've lost a few in a row and don't know why. I definately recommend changing your tactics) So now im in the Premiership

My second season with Liverpool
![]() My formation was a 4-4-2. I liked to have a midfield with high work rate and a bit of creativity. Gareth Barry slotted right into the left wing and Gerrard slotted in the right. Mascherano and Zullicini were both hard working in the centre and won a lot of ball. If at times we needed to push the pace and the team needed more creativity I had De Maria and Vela to come on for the left wing or Santana for the right but againist the big teams or away from home againist mid table teams I liked this midfield. I stuck with Barry, Gerrard, Mascherano and Zullicini. My defense were mainly Carragher and Agger with Agger, Insua/Monzon or Degen/Taylor playing on the same mentality with Carragher slightly more defensive so he would sweep up any danger that got past. My strike partnership till January was Cardoza and Torres but with a slight deep in form for Cardoza I decided on buying Pogrebnyak for 15.5M. It is the regular target man, quick striker combination. My first season proved to be a great first season with defeats only to Sunderland and Arsenal. Unfortunately 11 draws cost me dear. My defense record was pretty good and Reina ended up with the Golden Glove. Early exits in the cup competitions was disappointing especially a 3-0 defeat at home to Porto in the quarter final after holding them 0-0 away. Finally the Premiership trophy takes it home alongside the rest of the Trophies in the Liverpool cabinet. Not as much points as last season and a hell of a tough league season. Down to 5 teams till near the end. On the last day of the season Liverpool V West Ham at home while Chelsea V Aston Villa. Aston Villa win 2-0 and Liverpool win 4-0 to celebrate the League. Manchester Untied were 1st and on a great unbeaten run but when they travelled to Anfield and lost they went on an amazing four game losing streak and on the last, were overtaken by Man City and Arsenal My first prioty after last season was a signing who wasn't for the future but for the now. I wanted a proven Priemership player and so begun the Barry saga which last a whole 2 months of negations with Aston Villa demanded 36M and a 10% fee. I made it clear that I wanted to spend 15M, eventually after Barry reported his unhappiness at the bid been rejected the asking price lower to a respectable 23M. Other than Barry, I purchased young players that will bolster the squad and possibly been one for the future. In January I purchased Russian Striker,Pogrebnyak, a proven goalscorer for the last season in and half with Boro and he went on to score 6 league goals for us. Next season I look for at least 20 league goals. The first team squad, everybody played a part as I rotated quite a bit to keep players fresh and happy. Halfway through the second season Tom Hicks left the club and it was sold for 190M, unfortunately, no investment was made and the old loans that are slowly crippling our balance, continue.

ginnypig, that's a really nice set out season with Liverpool. Well done, you should be pleased with the result. I had a Liverpool game ^^^ (3-4 posts above) didn't really go to plan, however reading your summary I have a feeling to go on and try a new season with them.

Here goes my attempt then. I plaigerised from the Powers excellent Liverpool review, so I hope he doesn't mind!
![]() ...Pre Season/Transfers I had told the board to expect a mid-table finish, but I thought the squad was good enough for top 8 easily. I immediately transfer listed a few players I'd like to get rid of, like Van Der Meyde, Iain Turner and Nuno Valente. I eventually managed to get a little bit of cash in. I sold Nuno Valente and got in American Brek Shea. He is one for the future, but also quite versatile and would provide cover in cups. I brought in a keeper to replace the departing Turner, a young French keeper called Delle. My scouts rated him highly, and at 75K he wasn't much of a risk. He went straight into the reserves. I also signed Martin Galvan, although he is only arriving in 2010. ![]() In January, I signed a couple more for the future. 17 year old N-Gossan is a young left winger and Josh Lambo would provide cover for Howard in goal. I also splashed out £2.5m on 17 year old Rangers forward John Fleck. Again as backup. ![]() ...FA Cup and League Cup I went out of both pretty early on. Spurs beat me in the FA Cup 3rd round at White Hart Lane and after beating Sunderland in the League Cup, Newcastle knocked me out thanks to a Martins winner in injury time. I was pretty annoyed with both draws, as I was hoping to use some youngsters in these games. ...The League The League started with a 2-1 defeat at Newcastle, but my form soon picked up. I played a 442, with Yakubu and Vaughan up front, and Yakubu was banging them in, scoring 20 before Christmas. I was battling with Liverpool and City for a Champions League place but inconsistancy cost me. I was beaten away at Bolton and at home to Spurs and City in February and my challenge was finished. There were some good results though: ![]() This put me above Liverpool with 3 games left, unfortunately it didn't last. I also beat Chelsea at home thanks to a Saha winner in the 94th minute, and got a decent 0-0 draw away at Arsenal. ![]() ...The Uefa Cup Well, it was brilliant. I breezed past Slovan Liberic and then topped my group after a 5-0 win away at Liege (Yakubu scored all 5!) and a 1-0 home win against Valencia. I beat Pompey 1-0 home and away, as well as getting past Napoli, Dortmund and scraping through against Seville on away goals thanks to a Phil Jagielka header with 5 minutes left. The final was against PSV: ![]() Brilliant! ...Top Performers Baines, Neville, Lescott and Yobo were solid at the back. Cahill and Fellaini got me a few goals and Arteta was his usual creative self. Yakubu's record speaks for itself. He scored so many important goals, as well as 5 in one game against Liege. He scored 38 goals in 55 appearance in the end. As for youngsters, John Fleck got 5 in 10 starts after his January move, and James Vaughan scored a few important goals. Gosling also played over 20 games for me because of injuries to Cahill and Fellaini. Now, Yakubu, Arteta and Lescott want to leave, so I face a battle to keep my stars next summer. Sweet season with nice layout, Huzzer, unfortunately wasn't too easy for me to read as somewhere some eejit has stretched the screen
Are you planning on doing a SOMS with no storyline, (shock! horror!) or was that just for fun? Everton look an interesting game. I love Baby Goose Gosling! Brek Shea and Josh Lambo might be coming to Crewe soon ------------------- Shoot-shoot the runner. I'm the king and she's my queen, bitch! ![]() Reach out, touch the flame
