I've noticed as I move around in the game, my stats either rise or drop. Why?

Should I use a guide to tell me what item/gil to give to people who send me letters and how to reply? How does it affect the game?

Is a good strategy to keep leaving an area until you get a bonus condition where low HP is higher points, then just stand still and let a monster attack you, then use cure and repeat to rack up points?

Some moves used by enemies affect your stats. If you catch fire for example, your defense is cut in half. Also, any artifact you collect is automatically added to your stats until the end iof the dungeon.

Usually it will only affect the character's relationship level towards you, HOWEVER, on a rare occassion you'll receive a letter from a familly member asking for something specific. In such an event be sure to have what they're asking for, as it is the only way to obtain two special weapons given to you by your father. Orc Belt and Dragon Fang are the only two items I remember they'll ask for, but I don't doubt there are others.

No, it is not a good strategy. Normally, it's best to simply play the game, and try to get the bonus on your own skill. For example, if you need to use spell fusion for a bonus, then use spell fusion a couple of times during the course of the level and you're set!

Why do some artifacts that appeared after a previous boss battle not appear after another one? For example, my 'add a command slot' option wasn't available in my second boss battle but it appeared again later.

Also, how many bonus points can you get per stage in single player mode? I keep getting 153.

It all depends on the number of bonus points you get during the level, aswell as the number of artifacts you actually collect during the course of the level. There are several variables.

The most I've ever gotten was 322 ( inflict damage ).

If you're only on your first year, then it's inaccessable. It should be to the right in Tipa Peninsula.

I'm now in year 2. I have too many items. Where can I find someone to sell them to? I got rid of one of my original items by selecting 'destroy'. Was that bad?

If it's utterly useless and you need a way top get rid of items, Destroy is a great option. In terms of selling, one of the family trades in my village is merchant, so I sell most of my items there. Sure, there's a 10% reduction fee, but if it's convenient, then I do it.

Aside from your hometown, there are travelling merchants in Marr's Pass and Alfiftaria who reappear every other year.

In multi-player mode do all the players get different Bonus point requirements?

Yes, and the bonus is displayed at the bottom of the GBA screen on Radar mode

To receive bread and wheat, do you need to have a farmer and miller?

Most families can make Bannock if you sent them a wheat seed... I think.

But so far my Miller family's given me nothing

At the bonus screen where you choose what to boost, I got something that claimed it would allow me to use blizzard anytime. Why can't I use blizzard?

The Blizzard ring, found at Veo Lu Sluice, is one of the 5 magical rings that allow you to cast certain spell at any time. I believe they are Cure, Life, Thunder, Blizzard, and Fire ( I myself have all of them except for life ). You must choose the artifact in order to obtain it. Once obtained, it can be selected like any other magicite from the command list.

I have never found anyone to sell it to... I normally just destroy it once it become absolete. ALTHOUGH some weapons can be transfered to the command slots and combined with Magicite to make powerful attacks.

Most of them are not more difficult, but you will encounter more of them, and more varieties ( Like those flying eyeball thingys... I found a green one. Very hard to kill. )

Yes, they boost your defense automatically. Same goes for all the extra accessories from all the races. Belts will give a selkie extra defense even though you never actually see a selkie use a belt.

The four "species-specific" items that I think you are reffering to are:

Selkies - Belts
Yukes - Sallets ( or helmets if you prefer )
Lilties - Gloves/Gauntlets ( again, whichever you prefer )
Clavats - Sheilds

If you're reffering to the fourth "Equip" slot, then it's different. That slot can be filled by any acessory made for you in Shella.

I have read several different things from different sites; so I'm going to ask a few questions.
1. I read about a multiplayer mode, are you and player 2/3/4 on the same team trying to accomplish the same goal?
2. What is the deal with connecting GBAs to play multiplayer mode? Do you have to?

I have a question. Whenever I verse Raem, he doesn't have a health bar. Is this normal? (Three Headed Raem in the land of glass floors)

Thought of another one. I found the letter at Tida (In the tree) and showed it to the lady at the Lynari Desert Place. Now What? I've seen the answer somewhere, but I can't find it.
