Do you enjoy reading outside of books you are required to read? If so, what genre do you like the best and what are some of your favorite books?
I used to read a lot more often than I do now. Now adays I usually play a video game when I want to immerse myself into a different world. However, I still do enjoy a good book every once in a while. Some of my favorites: Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy Lord of the Rings Star Wars: A New Jedi Order (or something like that, I've read around 20 books in ther series) Slaughterhouse 5 1984 Harry Potter Breakfast of Champions Will add many more later ------------------- ![]()

Anything by Jack London is great, especially the Sea Wolf and the Iron Heel.
Tom Robbins is a great author as well, i enjoy his work, especially Jitterbug Perfume. Bernard Cromwell writes great historic fictions. Harry Turtledove is alright And the Dark Tower series by Stephen King is a must read for anyone. Also, Daedric, are you talking about Star Wars: Young Jedi Knights? The series that follows Jacen and Jaina Solo? i've read a ton of Star Wars books. This message was edited by Byzantine on Mar 31 2009. -------------------

It was about the new order that Luke had, with the Yuzong Vong or something like that, Tsavong Lah, the "living" spaceships, the animals that couldn't be detected by the force, etc. I'll be more specific when I get home and look, but I'm almost certain it was called The New Jedi Order. Great books. It was epic when Boba Fett saved Han Solo.

I've got atleast 100 Star Wars books scattered around the house and downloaded onto computers and laptops. I also have a little place in my heart for the 'Artemis Fowl' and 'CHERUB' series.
I also like the law novels written by John Grisham. -------------------

indeed, it is epic. You know Boba Fett trains Jaina Solo to kill her brother, right?
The Yuuzhan Vong War? That shit is *bleep*ing epic. Those guys are nasty, can't be detected by the force, and most force attacks can't be used on em. Definitely a tough opponent. -------------------

Haha, looks like there's a lot of Star Wars books I need to read. Right now I'm reading the Darth Bane duology.
I also love Tom Clancy and C.S. Lewis. ------------------- ![]() Gamertag: StefDelev

No worries, he doesn't. He actually becomes Mandalore the Exile. He becomes the leader of the Mandalorian tribes, shortly after they are reformed by Fenn Shysha who freed the Mandalorian home world from imperial dominance. Fenn Shysha's dying wish is that Boba Fett becomes the next Mandalore.
And yeah, he trains Jaina Solo the kill her brother Jacen, because he becomes Darth Caedus and wages war on the New Jedi Order, and the newly forming republic. I like Star Wars. -------------------

I sometimes read, although not that often since I get distracted by other things (internet mostly). At the moment I am almost reading a book, my sister lent it to me today so I am yet to start reading it. Favourite book I usually say is Jane Eyre or North and South, but I read those books years ago and never really updated the list in my mind or anywhere else, do I doubt they are actually my favourite books.
