Chaney has just been linked to a very Robert Ludlum and Tom Clancy esqe secret assassination program, with documents surfacing over this weekend and the new Head of the CIA coming out about this. Former VP Chaney is said to have kept the program secret from Congress, in direct violation of laws set down in the 70's.

So the whole "hunting accident" wasn't an accident after all, eh?

Heh, I would not put this past Cheney, to tell the truth. I never liked Bush, but I know Cheney was really bad news.

They don't mention anything about government-ordered assassinations, but that's what came up after a quick Google search of "Dick Cheney CIA".

Either way, it's a counter-terrorism program, who gives a shit if someone is killed during it? It's not going to be an innocent bystander. It's going to be one of the detainees held in Guantanamo Bay, who's going to be defended by an American lawyer because of our tax money and our worthless president's leadership. Sounds like something else the left-winged media can blow out of proportion, IMO.

Gregm, the situation at Guantanamo is not as absolute as you described it. I do not think many people, Democrat or Republican, object to torturing known terrorists, and given the executive order that the White House is trying to use the system of indefinite detainment, it seems to me that the current administration is trying to walk the fine line between civil liberties and practicality.

But that is all beside the point for now. The fact is that Cheney may have broke the law by keeping this from Congress, and when we allow our leaders to overstep their bounds and act without restraints, it impedes on the very Constitution that he, and all others in his situation, as well as every man and woman in the service, have sworn to defend. If Biden were to do the same thing, I would expect an equal punishment for him.

Well, i for one am opposed to torture of any and all kinds, but that's beside the point.

None of this matters, democracy isn't real, it's just a facade. I'd bet each and every one of you ten dollars right now that he doesn't face any prison time or punishment at all equal to his crimes.

I suppose the entire Obama administration should be jailed for tax evasion. I mean, Al Capone was jailed for it, why not the administration? Our government's corrupt, and when liberals make the government larger, it only becomes more corrupt.
There's no point in arguing. We all know Cheney will be let off.
