What's so bad about that?

I'm not perturbed by the decision personally, but I can see the legitimacy in people's complaints. I mean, other players who obtain the game legitimately on release day aren't on a level playing field as those who got it early. It isn't their fault that they got the game early, it's the retailers, so they shouldn't be punished I don't think. But I don't think resetting the leaderboards punishes them. Let them keep their achievements, but reset their rank.

It appears as though IW is punishing those who have to wait until the game is officially released instead of the retailers who ignored the official release date instructions. That's not fair at all.

lol, it doesnt bother me. Not like i was going to be in the top 100, or top 1000 even so im not too fused.

So if they reset the leaderboards and stuff people who have been playing will suddenly forget their way around the maps, etc? Don't be silly. It doesn't matter either way because like someone said previously, it'll just be like playing people after you prestiged. Plus, the amount of time we'll all spend playing the game it won't be long before everyone's ranked up anyway. Stop trying to put a downer on the game before you've even got it.

My question is, how would they tell the difference between a modded and a legit copy? I mean if it was that easy, I think Microsoft would have taken advantage of that a long time ago...

I think they should be reset just since it is like the official release and whatnot but it isn't a huge deal that it won't be.

Doesn't make the slightest difference to me, I'm gonna do the single player trophies before moving on to the multiplayer to get platinum.

I am not pissed off by this to be honest, I got CoD:4 this year and to be honest only a few people I feel had an advantage for me. It normally takes a week or so to know the maps and weapons inside out and to the people who want to be in the top 100 well I'm sorry but its only going to be the game-testers and hackers that will fill the top 100. I will just be happy to have the game, most of my friends will get it for Xmas, fair does one or two will have it, but I probably get the hang of the game quicker then some of the people who have it early so yeah.

Aww, well this kinda sucks.

I'd rather that they were reset tonight, but ah well.
