Funny enuff, i was so amped on the arrival of PES and FIFA this one slipped thru my radar till yest, when the penny dropped it was being released. Result, i hate waiting for games. Just picked one up now, Quality!

game magazines and reviewers say that about everything though lol. i don't know exactly how many people pre-ordered MW2 but i know that HALO 3 had millions and millions of pre-orders and it was a proper fact that it was the most anticipated game ever.

To be honest I am kinda believing that it is the most anticipated game of all time and certainly the most hyped. I mean last night BBC News who rarely cover games had a 15 minute segment on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. How millions were lining up outside stores across the country and even more worldwide. They then went on to talk about the terrorism controversy, but yeah when a news station that normally moves away from covering a video game does it, and gives it a bigger segment than 6 more soldiers dying in Afghanistan I believe this game is massive.

I would say the marketing strategies that they implemented were very essential in creating hype for this game. In all honesty, i wasn't too excited for this game after i finished modern warfare 1. ? However, after i saw the commercials and Major League Gaming's interest in the game, i have been convinced to buy it.

I think that GTA IV was slightly more hyped, and then there are the Halo series which had a huge following when it was released. Its definitelymore anticipated than any other game in the COD series though.

I thought taht GTA IV was the most anticipated but to be honest, I reckon this tops it. Literally every guy in my school who has a 360 or PS3 (and that's quitea lot, mind you) have bought this game. I signed into Live, and 53 of my friends were playing MW2 out of 53. It's insane. It's epic. I love it. AAAAH!

I remember hearing more people talking about GTAIV at school. That may have been down to the amount of people who would eventually fail in my highschool though, now I'm at college everybody is so much more focused on their work that they hardly play it. Somebody got it yesterday and they had so much coursework they've had it sat on their desk all day.
