I was playing the franchise mode and I was in my second season with the Mets fixing my lineup before the season, but when I noticed that my AA squad was 5 players short in the lineup I went to fix it only to find out that the EMPTY slot for your players like ss 2b cf ex. was just blank it didnt say any positions... So I tried to put someone into the blank slot and bame!!! Im looking at my Sony PS3 XMB screen!!! it kicked me out of my game!! So I repeat and the same things happens, im right back at the XMB again, thats a bad glitch. But If you just have the cpu AUTO FIX your lineups this doesnt happen, which I'll be doing from now on.

No, hasn't happened to me... yet. The only glitch I've come across was a hic-cup. Kind of a funny one. I was playing against the Tigers in my franchise and Ordonez was on second, the batter lined a base hit to right and I tried to throw him out at home. I failed. But for some reason the game froze and Ordonez kept running back to home plate and sliding. He'd slide, get back up, run off screen, then a second later he'd slide back into home from a different direction. I eventually had to restart the game, but thats the only malfuctions I've experienced.

I had a passed ball stay at the batter screen and lost a run that way to the computer but that's it.

If I'm not mistaken though (and I could be) the recent patch download for the game should have fixed the first glitch in this thread...

I think I just hit a franchise glitch that's gonna cost me my lousy season When I put my cursor over the next game on my schedule (June 28) the game just stops working and goes back to the PS3 Home screen

Can't seem to get by this...I even re-installed the game to no avail. This may not be a bad thing since I was mired so far in last place it wasn't funny...but I was determined to ride it out and "wait till next year" like a real owner with a bad team. In the meantime if any of you know any solutions to this problem I'm gonna keep the game save for now but start a new franchise.

I basically made the trades to have the same team I left with but for some reason the Reds wouldn't give me Edinson Volquez. So I got Lincecum instead. So far I'm 2-4 (Lincecum lost both his starts, LOL) but because I downloaded the newest rosters before I restarted I also have a few new additions like Adam Kennedy and Scott Hairston.

We'll see how I'm doing in a week or two...

too soon on that download since Beane shipped Holliday to the Cards. Once again we're stuck in the "We'll be good in 4 years" phase again.

Yeah I saw...but I was expecting it. They really wanted that 3B from the Cards to replace Chavvy. Can't say I blame them either. I love the guy but offensively he never lived up to expectations. Unfortunately all the "iron man" stuff he did by playing hurt all those years ago have derailed his career.

If this kid is as good as they think he is though it'll be worth it. I figure Wallace could make it to the show by next spring and Weeks may be close behind. Let's hope this hitting prospect is better than Daric Barton though...

I was just disappointed because I had tickets to go see Holiday play the Mariners in Seattle in August, but oh well. I kind of had the same feeling that it was going to happen regardless of how the A's were doing.

At least they did get a top prospect, but I fear it'll just play into the turntable of a system that Beane has created. 3-4 years from now the guy will be too expensive to keep and he'll be traded for more prospects.

Cabrera gets traded for a SS prospect. Can't say I'm against this trade because we had no plans for him beyond this year anyway. In some way, I wish we'd traded Giambi, Nomar, or any other of our "rental" players. But I imagine no one wanted them or they'd be gone.

But thats whats wrong with the A's. Beane thinks that just becuase he caught lightning in a bottle one year with Thomas that he can do it again. They did it with Thomas again and they tried it with Giambi, Nomar and Cabrera. I wouldn't have been surpirsed if their main purpose was to gain attention from other teams just to be traded for prospects.
