I couldn't get 6 or 7. I'm pissed that I couldn't get 6, because I recognize the scene. I just can't place it. Seven I just had no clue about.

Ah I found #7 after a good 20 minutes of searching... It was tricky, but I got it!

Actually I was trying to give people more time to get their answers in since the last quiz was awhile back. Sheesh, last time I got yelled at for not giving enough time.

Question 01: What is Creed doing in his final scene in the anime, Black Cat?

Answer: In his very last scene, Creed is painting a landscape. I just know some folks are going to grumble at me about this, but hey, go look for yourself. ^^;


Question 02: Sengoku, Goggles, and Benton are 3 convicts working off their prison sentences in what anime?

Answer: Sengoku, Googles, and Benton are all acting as hounds for Hasegawa in Cyber City Oedo 808. Rather falls along the lines of the "It takes a thief" theme, but really, what gave it away? Was it the character names? XD


Question 03: What anime pairs Sister Angela, a novice nun, with a Kosuke Hatakana, a young boxer?

Answer: Ichi Pondo no Fukuin, AKA One Pound Gospel. For an older, rather obscure anime, a lot of folks got this one right. Perhaps I am giving away too much in my questions. ^_~




Answer: I'm not sure why people had a hard time trying to figure out what I meant by creator, but I am reassured by the number of people who recognized that the creator of this title was the legendary, Rumiko Takihashi.


Question 04: Name 5 anime titles by the prolific group called, CLAMP.

Answer: There were all kinds of choices for this one: Chobits, Magic Knight Rayearth, Rayearth OVA, Card Capter Sakura, RG Veda, X, X/1999, Tsubasa Chronicles, XXXholic, Angelic Layer, Tokyo Babylon, the list goes on. The reason I tried to get folks to name anime titles rather than manga is that I just know someone would pull something really obscure on me to check.


Question 05: What is Ryo-Ohki's favorite food?

Answer: What does one feed a cabbit? Well if you want to make her estatic give her a carrot (better yet, a bushel of carrots). Almost everyone got this question correct.


Question 06: What anime is this scene from?





Answer: The question everyone hated. Actually I wasn't really happy with it either. I really wanted a decent picture of the ship, but google let me down. ^^; No, this is not a scene from Evangelion it is actually a scene from an apparently obscure anime OVA called MAPS. Don't feel bad if you didn't get it right, no one got it right. ^^;;; *dodges the lynch mob*



Question 07: If men are from Talac, where are women from?

Answer: Those of you who have been around awhile may feel this question is rather familiar. It should be, I asked the reverse of this question in season 1. ^^; Those familiar with the anime, Vandread knew immediately that if men are from Talac, then the women are from Majel.


Question 08: Beautiful Naomi is partnered with easy going Ichiro, but has a crush on battle-hardened Hans from across the yard in what classic anime-live action combo movie?

Answer: Twilight of the Cockroaches is the anime-live-action film I was looking for. Actually if I just mentioned that I was looking for an anime-live-action film I think this would still be the answer folks would give.


Question 09: Legendary Hayao Miyazaki initially created what anime for middle-aged men who had forgotten their youthful aspirations?

Answer: No, it wasn't all his works as one contestant tried to convince me. There was one title in particular that he conceived for an audience of middle-aged men who had forgotten their youthful aspirations, Porco Rosso in 1992. The film found a much wider appreciation than expected as it became fourth-biggest animated box-office draw in Japan (at least up to 2006, not sure beyond that.)


Question 10: Yukino Miyazawa is to Soichiro Arima as Miaka is to _______?

Answer: I was looking for Tamahome. Yukino and Soichiro are from Kare Kano (AKA His & Her Circumstances), while they are frequently competitive they are also very romantically interested in each other (ok, so that is an understatement). Miaka and Tamahome are from Fushigi Yuugi and while they aren't exactly competitive with each other, they are most definitely interested in each other romantically (yes, that would be another understatement). XD

It looks like a number of people have gone missing, but after so many months since the last quiz I can't say I am really surprised. Hopefully we'll have some returning next time, and I always love to see new faces joining in. Its a fierce fight for the number one spot, the battle is on between Daisy, ali3n, Oni, with Sephiroth niisan coming up fast, but don't count tekmosis out of yet, he is sure to try for a comeback. XD

We are only halfway through this season with a make-up round still available, so it is still anything goes. Fun to watch, even more fun to participate in.
