Pro Wrestling Guerrilla
"Taste the Radness"

    Backstory:
Ah, professional wrestling. What a crazy world of gimmicks, chokeholds, suplexes and tights we live in. Well, there is none crazier in this mad, mad, mad, mad, mad, mad world than the one they call Pro Wrestling Gorilla... uh, Guerrilla. Well, now in this crazy, mixed up world Pro Wrestling Guerrilla are ready to rise to the top. Screw WWE, all they’ve got is countless millions of dollars, numerous TV and PPV deals, hot women, steroid abusing wrestlers, a club for kissing people’s asses and Funaki. PWG has a Human Tornado and a commissioner for food and drink. So suck it, we're in it to win it and that's just what we'll do. WWE and TNA can bite our sweet gorilla asses because as god is our witness Pro Wrestling Guerrilla will be the number one rasslin' promotion in the US of A!

re: Can you taste the radness?

The Hip-Hop Happenings of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla
January 2008 - April 2008

The Best Wrestler in the World Dethroned
In the midst of some of the anarchy going on in PWG (To be explained later) the PWG World champion and arguably the best wrestler in the world, Bryan Danielson, was holding onto his title like a true champion. He took on all challengers from Jack Evans "From the Heavens" to Delirious "From the Edge of Sanity" and beat every last one of them. The only man he couldn’t beat was Chris Hero "From Metropolis". Hero captured the title in a fifty-five minute contest, eventually making Danielson submit to the Hangman’s Clutch II. It nearly didn’t happen, though, as Hero’s long-time rival Human Tornado interfered to try and cost Hero the match, but the champ showed his honour by removing Tornado from the ring in order to continue the match. In the end it would be an early match of the year candidate from two of the greatest wrestlers in the world and truly a testament to what Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has to offer.

Tears + Fears = Two Badass Emo Wrestlers
The return of Jimmy Jacobs to PWG saw him go several events without teaming with his friend Tyler Black. Jacobs appeared to shun Black backstage, seemingly upset with him over something. In the end Black confronted Jacobs about it before a four corners match (Also involving Ronin and Joey Ryan) that the two were booker to compete in. After several minutes of crying Jacobs admitted that Tyler had left him "Broken Hearted" by not inviting him to return to PWG as his tag team partner. Tyler apologised and together they were able to earn a double victory (Both men pinning Ryan and Ronin at the same time) in the four-way. After the match the reunion was broken up by the Motor City Machineguns who were less than happy about an Emo tag team joining the race for the tag team titles. The MCM and Kiss 2 Kill faced off a fortnight later at "Rage Against the (Not Disco) Machine" with Shelley forcing Jacobs to submit to the Border City Stretch. The feud didn’t seem to be over as after the match the two teams argued, only to be stopped by the tag team champions Davey Richards and Super Dragon. At our next event Sabin went up against Jacobs, earning yet another victory for the MCM after hitting a Cradle Shock to pick up the victory. At the same event Alex Shelley fell short to Tyler Black after Sabin accidentally hit him with a springboard dropkick. With the two teams still on edge, they were booked into an impromptu tag team match to decide who was ultimately the kings of the universe (Or rather the better tag team). Remarkably Kiss 2 Kill came out on top after a Doomsday Contra Code following an attack by the debuting Phenomenal Angels. The feud between the MCM and K2K may be over, but the feud between the Phenomenal Angels and the Motor City Machineguns is just beginning.

    Earning their Phenomenal Wings
In the following weeks the Phenomenal Angels would prove that they were sent from somewhere a little south of Heaven as they attacked, cheap shotted and brutalised the tag teams of PWG. The once loveable AJ Styles had changed his ways to match those of his disrespectful, arrogant and bald partner Christopher Daniels. The team showed no respect for their opponents as they rose through the ranks before earning a title shot against Davey and Dragon. The champions refused to give them a title shot until they could win one match without underhanded tactics. This also gave any team the opportunity to earn a title shot by defeating (Or being subject to cheating) the Phenomenal Angels. The team to take this offer was the "Luchadors Fantasticos" a team of masked wrestlers looking to make a name for themselves across the border. On many occasions the Angels looked as though they wanted to cheat, but couldn’t do it. It was the Luchadors who cheated in the end as Luchador #1 rolled Daniels up and grabbed his tights for the victory. After the match the Luchadors removed their masks to reveal none other than Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. The MCM had earned their title shot and would take it at our next event, "Rumble in the Concrete Jungle", against the champions. After the Machineguns arrived at the arena they were suddenly called away by an emergency involving both their families. This emergency would later be proved to be a trick on the part of the Phenomenal Angels who took their place in the title match. After resorting to their cheap tactics to get the win, Styles and Daniels were crowned as the new champions as the angry MCM returned to confront them. The Machineguns promised to relieve them of the titles, but the Phenomenal Angels refused to honour their title shot as it had been filled by them. The MCM would have to prove themselves all over again.

He's a Human Tornado (And the new World champion)
After Chris Hero’s victory over Bryan Danielson to win the PWG World championship, Human Tornado set his sights on defeating his rival and taking the title. The former champ set about making himself a nuisance for Hero, bothering him backstage and interfering in his matches. It got to a point where Hero brought in his old friend Claudio Castagnoli to watch his back in case of attacks from Tornado. In retaliation Tornado hired the Young Bucks to back him up. After a six-man tag match between Hero, Claudio and Ares against Tornado and the Young Bucks exploded into a brawl between Hero and Tornado it was decided that they would be placed in a no-DQ singles match for the title. Hero ruled the match for the best part of twenty minutes before the Young Bucks interfered and beat down the champion. Claudio and Ares jumped in to help out, but the damage had been done and Tornado hit a low blow and the D.N.D through a table to pick up the win. After the match, with Hero to beat up to do anything about it Tornado kidnapped Candice LeRae. Now that his manager and his title are in the hands of his rival what will Hero do. He’ll have to step up if he intends to defeat Human Tornado once and for all.
ALSO: More backstory coming soon including: When Jack met Claudio, the Dawn of Sonjay and much more.

It's a very nice start man. I dont think anyone has ever done a PWG diary in this forum. You have some great wrestlers on your roster. I'd like to see what you can do with them.

PRO WRESTLING GUERRILLA PROUDLY PRESENTS
ALL STAR WEEKEND VI
NIGHT ONE l APRIL 19th, 2008 l BURBANK, CA

PWG World Tag Team championships:
The Phenomenal Angels © versus Davey Richards & Super Dragon
When the Phenomenal Angels took the MCM’s spot in the tag team title contest they were able to gain an unfair advantage over the champions. The advantage wasn’t the only thing unfair as the challengers used every dirty trick in the book to end the champions’ reign. Now the ex-champs have invoked their rematch clause and are out for revenge as well as to regain their championships.
Bryan Danielson versus Jimmy Jacobs
The former PWG World champion has been slowly, but surely making his way back to the top since he lost his title. Now he will have to face the test of the "Emo Warrior" Jimmy Jacobs. Jacobs might not look like much, but he’s put away countless tough opponents including BJ Whitmer, Chris Hero and even Danielson himself. Who will come out on top in what is sure to be a great contest?
Ikuto Hidaka & Minoru Fujita versus The Murder City Machineguns
The former ZERO1-MAX International Lightweight Tag Team champions will face the current champions in a non-title exhibition match ahead of both teams’ matches at night two. The team of Hidaka and Fujita will be facing the winner of tonight’s tag team title match whereas the Machineguns will be facing the team of Chris Bosh and Scott Lost, aka Arrogance. Despite this match being just a warm-up you can expect both teams to give it everything they’ve got.
Chris Hero versus Jack Evans
These two men are both championship contenders, Hero especially as he is waiting to invoke his rematch clause. Evans is still out to prove himself as a real force in PWG and the only way he can do that is by defeating the former World champion before defeating the current champ. Beating Hero won’t be easy, though, as the man from Metropolis is one of the toughest and most talented wrestlers in the world. However, the "Prince of Parkland" is not to be underestimated because of his size as he’s proven he can hold his own with the best of them. This is a highly anticipated match between two of PWG’s top competitors. Who will be able to prove they’re better? We’ll have to wait to find out.
PWG Money in the Bank (Non Copyright Infringement) match:
Claudio Castagnoli versus El Generico versus Joey Ryan versus Kevin Steen versus Roderick Strong versus Scorpio Sky
Six of the top contenders in PWG will face off in a ladder match with a briefcase containing a guaranteed World title shot hanging above the ring. Double C will have to take some time out from his feud with Human Tornado and the Young Bucks to try and get the title shot he, and many of our fans, knows he deserves. SteenErico will be facing each other for a shot at the World title, but will they still share their excellent teamwork in singles competition? "Magnum" Joey Ryan believes he’s better than everyone else in PWG and now he has the chance to prove it, but will the other five competitors be able to shut his moustachioed mouth once and for all? "The Messiah of the Backbreaker" will be looking to break some backs and take some names on his way to the title, regardless of the outcome of this match Roderick Strong must have a title shot coming his way soon, but it would still be nice to have that guaranteed contract. Scorpio Sky, many have called him the dark horse of this match (And not just because he’s African-American), but he is surely a good choice to bet on because of his athleticism and talent. Any one of these men could be a worthy winner of the match (Except Joey Ryan, he’s a twat), but which one will be the winner when the dust settles? P.S. We’ve never even heard of WWE’s Money in the Bank, this was or idea first.

KENTA versus Rocky Romero
The visiting KENTA will have to face a man with equally vicious kicks in this hard-hitting bout. Rocky has proven himself to be one of the toughest competitors in the company, but KENTA’s reputation precedes him which means this match is going to be amazing. Teeth will go flying, bones will be shattered into dust and when a winner is crowned you will all be left feeling as drained as he competitors themselves. It’s got Paul Anka’s guarantee (Guarantee void in Tennessee and other hick states).
PWG World championship:
Human Tornado © versus Austin Aries
Human Tornado will make his first defence against PWG’s resident bearded bastard Austin Aries. Aries is a grumpy, no nonsense S.O.B who will give Tornado the fight of his life and take no sh*t from the sneaky P.I.M.P. Tornado is in for possibly the fight of his life against a man who will take him to the very limit and if there’s time further than that. Who will emerge with the title around their waist at the end? In fact, who will emerge full stop?

The card is looking good. I lol'd at the non-copyright infringement MITB match.

My predictions-

Phenomenal Angels over Super Dragon & Richards
Not even AJ Styles can lose a title right after winning it. Besides, I don't really care for Super Dragon.

Jimmy Jacobs over Bryan Danielson
Definitely not a Jacobs fan, but I'm pretty sure you are, so I'm not gonna go against it.

Murder City over Ikuto Hidaka & Minoru Fujita
Huge Shelley/Sabin fan. These two for tag champs tbh.

Jack Evans over Chris Hero
My guts saying Hero has this one, but I like Evans too much to go against him.

El Generic over Claudio, Ryan, Steen, Strong & Sky
I LOVE THIS THEME MUSIC

Rocky over KENTA
Even though many would expect KENTA to win this one, I'd like to see Rocky take the win with an upset roll-up, or something like that. Push Rocky toward the world title please.

Human Tornado over Aeris
<3 Human Tornado

PRO WRESTLING GUERRILLA PROUDLY PRESENTS
ALL STAR WEEKEND VI
NIGHT ONE l APRIL 19th, 2008 l BURBANK, CA

All Star Weekend VI begins with "Epic" by Faith No More blaring out through the speakers and Super Dragon and Davey Richards making their way to the ring. Both are very serious men and have no trouble just getting into the ring in a way that means I don’t have to think, just type. "Epic" is replaced by the comedy stylings of "Disposable Teens" by Marilyn Manson as the champions make their way out from behind the curtain. Both men have their faces covered by hoods and they wait a second before simultaneously flipping them off, expecting some sort of pyro display. Our only pyro is the solitary party popper controlled by our wheelchair ridden number one fan El Unimaginativo and he’s saving that for a decent team, not these fools. The Phenomenal Angels make their way to the ring with Styles lording his chest hair over the fifteen year olds in attendance and Daniels lording his slap head over no one because no one wants to be bald. Or be Christopher Daniels. Once they’re finally in the ring they hand their titles to our referee Rick Knox before AJ goes to the apron along with Super Dragon which means Davey and Daniels will start us off.

PWG World Tag Team championships:
The Phenomenal Angels © versus Davey Richards & Super Dragon
Daniels goes for a lock-up, but Davey ducks under his arms and spears the champion to the ground before smashing his face with a series of forearm strikes. Daniels tries to protect his face, but can’t as Richards comes at him furiously with strikes stiffer than Low Ki looking at boobs. Rick Knox eventually starts a five count which manes that Davey stop at around four before lifting Daniels to his feet and chopping him across the chest before whipping him into his corner and hitting a clothesline/bulldog combination. Davey tags in his partner before both of them each grab one of Daniels’ legs and swing him backwards for a double wheelbarrow suplex before Dragon gets a two count.

Dragon lifts the Fallen Angel to his feet, but gets caught with a low blow before Daniels dives towards his partner, looking to make a tag. AJ slaps his partners hand before attempting a springboard body splash or something, but gets caught by a spinning heel kick to the face from Super Dragon. Dragon starts a seemingly complex series of adjustments before locking AJ into an STF. Davey Richards jumps into the ring and rebounds off the ropes before hitting a snap dropkick to the face of Styles before Dragon gets to his feet and looks at Davey. Daniels tries to sneak attack the duo, but gets caught with a double spinning back fist combination that would make Eddie Kingston proud. Dragon and Davey look at each other again before hitting a standing shooting star press/double stomp combo on Styles before Dragon hooks the leg.

1... 2... NO, SIR! AJ kicks out of the pin before Dragon can make the three. He tags in his partner who lifts AJ up to his feet before positioning him into a fireman’s carry hold. Super Dragon goes to the top, but gets crotched by Christopher Daniels before AJ gets free and hits a reverse DDT on Davey. AJ lifts Richards to his feet before whipping him off the ropes and then catching him in his own fireman’s carry hold. AJ spins around for an airplane spin before spinning him out into another reverse DDT. AJ goes for the pin, but only gets an early two before Dragon breaks it up. Christopher Daniels flies into the ring and takes Dragon out with a springboard clothesline before rolling out onto the apron to prepare for another assault. AJ gets to his feet and does the same as Davey and Dragon struggle to their feet. The Angels both dive off the ropes, but both get caught with stereo enzuigiris from Dragon and Davey. Davey pulls AJ up to a sitting position before kicking him in the back of the head. AJ folds over forwards before bouncing back to a sitting position only to get kicked, even harder, in the face. The crowd whoop for the impact of Davey’s boot into Styles’ mouth as Davey makes the cover.

He only manages another two count before Styles finds a way to kick out. AJ takes one of AJ’s legs and attempts a stretch muffler, but AJ kicks out with his other leg before booting Davey in the gut and rolling towards his corner. Daniels makes a blind tag and climbs into the ring before hitting an exploder suplex on Davey that sends him into the corner. Daniels lifts him to his feet before slapping him in the chest and then following up with a chop. Daniels back away a bit before returning with a running high knee that drives right into Davey’s face. Daniels makes his signature taunt, holding his arms open wide before lifting Davey to his feet and placing his head between his legs. He clutches both of Davey’s arms before lifting him up and spinning him around, but Davey wraps his legs around Daniels’ neck making it impossible to finish the move. Showing great flexibility, Davey kicks Daniels in the face with the sole of his right boot before flipping backwards and booting Daniels in the gut. He then hooks Daniels arms and lifts him up as Super Dragon climbs the turnbuckle. SPIKE D.R. DRIVER II!!! Daniels bald head is crushed against the mat as Davey and Dragon complete the move. Davey dives on top of Daniels as Knox starts the count.

1... 2... NO! AJ Styles dives from the top rope to hit the Spiral Tap on Davey and break the pin. Super Dragon angrily lifts AJ to his feet before lifting him into a Torture Rack in a Psycho Driver attempt, but AJ gets free and hits a Pelé Kick on Dragon who rolls out of the ring. He then gives Davey a kick in the gut and follows it with a Styles Clash! Styles drags his partner onto Richards as the referee hits the mat again. 1-2-NO WAY! Davey kicks out of the pin as Styles and Daniels are shocked. Daniels goes for another pin, but Davey kicks out again. Styles drags Davey to his feet and goes for another Styles Clash, but Davey lifts him up as if for a back body drop, but he transitions it into a fireman’s carry before flipping him off for a Go 2 Sleep! Styles collapses in a heap on the mat as Davey climbs up the turnbuckle. He calls for the end before attempting a shooting star press on Daniels, but the Fallen Angel rolls away and Davey smashes his face into the mat. Daniels now goes to the turnbuckle before jumping twice and executing a picture perfect Best Moonsault Ever! Daniels hooks Davey’s leg as the referee counts a one, a two, but he doesn’t get three as Davey kicks out again.

Richards is showing great bravery in this opening contest as he kicks out of the Best Moonsault Ever. Meanwhile, Super Dragon drags AJ Styles out of the ring and hits a diving body splash to crush him against the guard rail. Back inside the ring Davey and Daniels are both on their feet and exchanging blows, but Daniels can’t match Davey’s offence as he succumbs to hard kicks and forearms before Davey throws him over the ropes onto Dragon and Styles. Davey rallies the crowd before going to the turnbuckle and diving off for a suicidal shooting star press! Every man in the match is crushed by one another as Davey collapses on top of the other three competitors and the crowd go wild. Slowly Davey gets to his feet along with Christopher Daniels and both men go right back to brawling. Davey gets the upper hand again, but Daniels rakes the eyes and then smashes Davey’s head against the ring post. Daniels rolls him inside before climbing up onto the apron and then the turnbuckle. Daniels jumps, spins in mid air and then hits a moonsault towards the prone Richards, but Davey rolls this time and Daniels lands back on his feet. Davey quickly gets up and then hits a Busaiku Knee! Utilizing the techniques of one of his mentors, KENTA, Davey executes a perfect Busaiku Knee before finally deciding to end the match.

Davey drags Daniels over to the corner before lifting him onto the turnbuckle and grabbing both his arms again. He looks for the Super D.R. Driver, but Daniels breaks free and hits a super back body drop. Daniels recuperates on the top rope, thinking about his next move, but Super Dragon ahs broken free of AJ Styles and jumps onto the apron before climbing up the turnbuckle. Dragon nearly lariats Daniels’ head off, but manages to keep the Fallen Angel on the top rope before double underhooking his arms for a Dragon Driver. He lifts him onto his shoulders before Davey Richards jumps onto the second rope. He takes hold of Daniels and jumps back as Dragon jumps forward, they have no choice, but to meet in the middle for a Dragon Driver/Lung Blower! Davey covers Daniels as Rick Knox counts. We’ve got one, we’ve got two, but we don’t have three instead we have AJ Styles and a springboard 450 splash! For the second time in the match AJ breaks the pin by going to the air, this time with the Superman Splash.

The crowd are worn out after this intense battle between two teams who have given their all so far. But it’s become evident that one team will have to give even more to walk out with the titles. AJ lifts Super Dragon up and hits him with a right hand, but he gets one back in return. Dragon and AJ exchange blows before Dragon gets the upper hand, boots AJ in the gut, lifts him up and spins him around for a Psycho Driver! AJ bounces off the mat as Dragon lifts Daniels up to his feet, but he gets caught with a low blow and then a reverse STO that sends him back to the outside. Davey Richards gets up and squares off with Danielson, once again they will have to try and decide the outcome of this match. Davey kicks the wind out of Daniels with a boot to the gut before lifting him up and hitting a Tombstone Piledriver! Davey moves quickly to apply a Surfboard Stretch as Daniels lets out a cry of both horror and pain. The end may not be far as Davey applies pressure to Daniels’ back. The Fallen Angel will have to think fast to get out of this one and, perhaps by accident, he finds a way as he slowly adjusts himself so that he’s able to get Davey’s shoulders completely on the mat. The referee hits the mat as Davey’s shoulders are down. 1... 2... 3! Daniels pins Richards moments before he’d be forced to tap out. Davey releases the hold, shocked that the victory was snatched away from him by Daniels.

Winners by pinfall and still champions: The Phenomenal Angels

After the match the Angels are handed their titles as they attempt to get away in a sharpish manner. Daniels and Davey sit in the ring, trying to catch their breath and discussing what went wrong. After Daniels and Styles have left the ring area Dragon and Richards look at each other. They begin to argue which leads to Dragon shoving Davey who retaliates by clubbing Dragon in the face with a forearm. Dragon hits him with a boot to the gut and the doubles him over which leads into a Cut-Throat Psycho Driver. Dragon kicks Davey in the chest before leaving the ring effectively meaning that the former champions have split. Dragon makes his way to the back to a chorus of boos from the fans, some even begin to throw garbage at him. Once he’s gone it takes a minute or two for Davey to get to his feet, but he does so after being assisted by security and referee Rick Knox. As Davey is escorted from the ring the fans give him a standing ovation for his contribution to the match they just witnessed. Davey may have just had one of the toughest competitions of his life and, although he was defeated in the end, many would argue that he was the better man in the match. We prepare ourselves for something else as Davey disappears behind the curtain and the cheers stop after a few moments.

re: Can you taste the radness? Angels vs. D&D match up

Alright here's something I was wondering. Since this diary is for the enjoymentisation of you Matt Marks (I'm trying it out) would you rather the results be written as I am currently writing them, i.e. in-depth results that covers the whole match.

Or would you prefer shorter results, i.e. only covering the main points in the match. These would probably last about a paragraph or two or three for big matches?

Your feedback would be good here as I'd like to know what people prefer to read.

Great match, Cradle. Ending was kind of off for my taste and you need to work on the flow a little bit, but it's really great otherwise. To me, I like to do the detailed matches. It gets me excited to outdo my last matches and tell stories within the matches. It's a lot funner then just writing a paragraph or two and in my experience, your diary will last a lot longer.

re: Can you taste the radness? Angels vs. D&D match up

After the fast-paced opener we go backstage for a promo featuring none other than "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen. Steen will be facing his partner and friend El Generico (As well as some others) in a non-copyright infringement money in the bank ladder match. Clearly he has something to say.
Kevin Steen: Life has been hard for me, really, really hard. I’ve been bullied because I’m a little heavier than most or I don’t shave or because I still have acne, but all that suffering throughout my life has made me stronger. I’ve been to hell and back and come out still fighting and that’s the sort of experience that will take me to the PWG World championship. I’ve held the title before and I can tell you that it never gets easier to see another man with it around his waist. So tonight I’m going to win the Money in the Bank match and Mr. Wrestling will become Mr. Money in the Bank and then I can finally get my title back.
The camera cuts back to ringside where "Hurt" by Johnny Cash hits the speakers and "The Emo Warrior" Jimmy Jacobs makes a slow, melodramatic entrance. Jimmy climbs into the ring and removes his long white jacket before awaiting the entrance of his opponent. The iconic opening to Europe’s "Final Countdown" starts and "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson struts out from the back, pointing at Jacobs and mouthing "You’re dead" to him. Danielson gets into the ring and removes his maroon robe before the referee orders the bell and the match can begin.

Singles Exhibition Match
Bryan Danielson versus Jimmy Jacobs
Danielson held his right arm up in the air for Jacobs to grab, which he did, but Danielson immediately twisted in and bent it behind his back with a hammerlock. Jimmy ducked backwards and reversed it into a sleeperhold on Danielson, who yawned before reversing it into a belly-to-back suplex. Danielson bounced off the ropes and looked to drop an elbow, but Jimmy rolled out of the way before getting to his feet and nailing an elbow to Danielson’s face. Danielson was knocked slightly back, but asked Jacobs to give him another. Jimmy was happy to obliged and hit Danielson in the jaw with another elbow before standing back to admire his work. Danielson felt his jaw before telling Jacobs to hit him again. Jimmy went for another elbow, but Danielson blocked it and hit Jimmy with an elbow of his own that sent "The Emo Warrior" into the corner. Danielson quickly followed him before unleashing some of the stiffest chops known to mankind. Danielson backed away as a tear began to slip from Jimmy’s eye because of the pain, but Dragon wasn’t backing away to give him a rest he was backing away for a yakuza kick. Dragon came flying forwards, but Jimmy ducked at the last second and Dragon got caught on the top rope. Jacobs jumped into action and applied a ¾ facelock before flipping backwards and hitting The Contra Code! Jacobs covered and nodded with the count, but it was all in vain as Danielson kicked out at two. Jimmy slapped the mat angrily before locking Danielson into his End Time guillotine choke. Danielson has already tapped to this once in ROH, but he didn’t look worried this time. Instead he rolled forwards and bridged before getting back to his feet and nailing Jacobs with a Roaring Elbow. Danielson covered, but Jacobs kicked out at an early two. Danielson lifted Jacobs back to his feet before going behind with a waistlock before attempting to throw Jimmy with a German Suplex, but Jimmy got his legs around Danielson’s waist to stop it before rolling forwards and hooking the legs for a two count. Both men stood up and faced each other down, they both realized that they had to start taking the match seriously and they locked up again. This time they both held their hands up and grabbed each others, but Jimmy twisted Danielson’s arm and kept wrenching it, however Dragon lifted his leg up and over his and Jacobs’ arms and then flipped him over with a sort of fireman’s carry slam before applying a headscissors. Jimmy rolled around for a few seconds, trying to maneuver his way out of Danielson’s powerful thighs and he eventually managed to roll backwards and get back to his feet before kicking Danielson hard in the face. He lifted Dragon up slightly before dragging him over to the ropes and bringing him down with a drop toe hold so that Danielson was resting on the middle rope. Jimmy ran off the opposite ropes as the crowd chanted "619! 619!" but Jacobs didn’t deliver, instead he jumped on Danielson’s back and pushed down with both feet as the referee started a five count and Jimmy broke at three and a half. With Danielson down on the mat and next to the ropes Jimmy climbed onto his chest and began stomping away at him with the aid of the ropes. After about seven stomps Jimmy threw himself backwards and nailed a senton on Danielson, who was clearly hurting now, before hooking the leg and picking up a near fall. Jimmy seemed frustrated and dragged Danielson over to the turnbuckle before applying another ¾ facelock and going for The Contra Code again, but Danielson reversed and pushed Jimmy off and over the top rope. Jacobs crashed, back first to the hard floor below as Danielson fell to a knee. Jacobs rolled around in pain before lifting himself back to his feet thanks to the guard rail. Some fans patted him on the back, but the next thing he got wouldn’t be as friendly as Dragon dove over the top rope and hit a suicide senton. Dragon rolled over the guard rail as Jacobs lay motionless on the ground. After a few seconds Jimmy began to stir and the rolled into the ring to break the count before rolling back out again. He went back to Dragon and blocked an elbow before guillotining Danielson on the guard rail. Jimmy climbed onto the railing and crossed his arms before nailing Danielson with a senton onto the concrete floor. Both men were badly winded and referee Patrick Hernandez temporarily stopped his count to check on them. Both men got to their feet and slowly made their way back into the ring before duking it out again with elbows and fists. Jacobs couldn’t compare with Danielson’s strikes and was knocked into the ropes before being Irish whipped and returning for a big boot, but Jacobs ducked underneath Danielson’s boot and returned from the opposite ropes to hit a brutal spear. Jacobs nearly tore Danielson in half with that one, but he wasn’t ready to pin him just yet. Jacobs lifted Danielson up before placing his head between his legs and underhooking both arms from behind, attempting an Inverted Pedigree, but Danielson stood up and lifted Jimmy onto his shoulders. Danielson tried to adjust Jacobs’ position for a few seconds, but in the end he was driven headfirst into the mat with an Inverted Frankensteiner! Dragon’s head was spiked into the mat with the impact as Jacobs attempted to muster up the strength to make the cover. It took him a number of seconds to crawl onto Danielson, but he finally did and Patrick Hernandez made the count.

1... 2... NO! Danielson kicks out!

Dragon kicked out of a vicious Poison Rana that would have put a weaker opponent down for sure. Both men crawled to their feet before exchanging blows again and again Danielson got the upper hand, nailing Jacobs with an elbow. Danielson threw Jacobs into the corner and lifted him onto the top rope before following up after him. Dragon applied a headlock before standing up in position for a Superplex, but Jacobs fought his way out of it before applying a ¾ facelock and preparing to jump backwards for an Avalanche Contra Code, but Dragon fought out of it and got in position for a super back drop, but Jacobs fought out of that one as well before elbowing Danielson in the face, causing him to fall backwards into a tree of woe position. Jacobs stood tall on the top rope as Danielson flailed around, attempting to escape from the tree of woe, but his flailing just made the next move more effective. Danielson had pulled himself up, but got knocked straight back down as Jacobs annihilated him with a senton while he was in the tree of woe. Danielson fell onto his front, but Jimmy picked him up again. It became clear that the last attack had put Dragon out of commission as his nose was spewing blood. Jacobs applied a ¾ facelock and pushed off the turnbuckle for The Contra Code, but somehow Danielson wouldn’t fall backwards and Jacobs landed face-first on Dragon’s shoulder for a kind of makeshift stunner. Dragon stood up, span around and obliterated Jacobs with a Roaring Elbow to the face. Still recovering from the whiplash of that impact Jacobs could do nothing when Dragon took both of his arms and flipped over, applying The Cattle Mutilation. The bloody American Dragon wrenched as hard as he could on Jimmy’s arms until finally "The Emo Warrior" could take it no more and tapped out awarding the victory to Bryan Danielson.
Winner by Submission in 19:52: "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson

Danielson got to his feet, still bleeding profusely from the nose, and had his hand risen by Patrick Hernandez as "The Final Countdown" was blasting through the speakers. The fans clapped both of the men who put on an impressive showing before we went either to the back or to another match, frankly I can’t be bothered to write either at the moment.
