The Rise Of Extreme - Extreme Championship Wrestling

At Survivor Series 1997, Vince McMahon pulled off possibly the single most shocking event in the history of professional wrestling. During a match between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart for the WWF World Heavyweight Title, McMahon made his way to ringside and ordered referee Earl Hebner to ring the ball when Michaels had Hart locked in a Sharpshooter, claiming he had tapped out. At first a stunned crowd thought it must be part of the script, but Hart's reaction convinced the world that he had legitimately been screwed. This caused uproar among the wrestling community but as Bret Hart headed to WCW, fans were starting to take more notice of WWF and Vince McMahon. In one heinous act, McMahon generated interest in his company that no ad-campaign could hope to achieve. Heading into December, WCW are still several steps ahead of WWF but the war has certainly begun to heat up.

But what of ECW. ECW hired a new head booker called Alan Bushell who immediately signed two workers called Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy to contracts. OMEGA was therefor handed to Joey Matthews. But now how will ECW do with the new head booker Alan Bushell. What will happen now after the Montreal Incident. WWF is 1st, WCW is 2nd and ECW valiantly struggles to be 3rd or higher. This is't Raw Is Jericho, this is'nt even Sparta. THIS IS ECW!

re: The Rise Of Extreme - Extreme Championship Wrestling: Hardcore TV UP!

The camera pans all around the Hammerstein Ballroom showing the fans who are chanting ECW! ECW! The camera pans to the new authority Alan Bushell who is standing in the ring.He raises a microphone up to his lips

Alan Bushell: Welcome to EC F'N W!

The crowd go crazy chanting "ECW! ECW!". Alan raises the microphone up to his lips.

Alan Bushell: Now you will know who i am. I am the new head authority of ECW Alan Bushell! And tonight in this very ring we will see the Dudley Boyz (crowd pop) versus the Hardy Boyz! And tonight it will be not only for the number one contendership to the ECW tag team championship, it will also be a table's match! (crowd chant of "Tables!")

Alan drops the microphone in the ring and runs to the back. And now we hear the theme of the Dudley Boyz!

The fans go crazy as the Dudley Boyz walk out from the curtain, with smirks on their faces, knowing that this match is there forte. They walk down the ramp. Bubba Ray enters the ring while D-Von walks up the ring steps and enters the ring. They raise their arms up before lowering them down. The music stops playing as the Hardy Boyz music plays on the speakers.

The time keeper hits the bell and the match starts. The Dudleyz simeltanieously Lou Thesz press on both brothers, hitting them with open fists. Bubba Ray picks up Matt and kicks him in the gut. Bubba Ray kicks him in the gut again and executes a DDT. D-Von elbow drops Jeff and stomps on him. Bubba picks up Jeff and whips him into the ropes. Jeff springs back right into a spinebuster from Bubba. Bubba picks up Matt while D-Von stomps repeatably on Jeff's body. Bubba hits Matt with open fists three times before clotheslining him. Bubba already knows that this match is over and calls to D-Von.

Bubba Ray: D-Von get the tables!

D-Von goes to the outside. Bubba gets dropkicked by Matt Hardy. He gets up and gets dropkicked by Jeff Hardy. Matt gets up to the top rope. D-Von drops the table and makes Matt crash into the turnbuckle. He holds his crotch area and falls down. Jeff gets on the rope and tries to jump on D-Von but he steps out of the way leaving Jeff crashing and burning on the ground. D-Von slides the table into the ring. D-Von enters the ring and gets clotheslined by Matt Hardy. Bubba turns Matt around and hits him with a Bubba Bomb. Bubba sets up the table in the middle of the ring. Jeff enters the ring and immediately gets kicked in the gut and piledrivered onto the canvas by Bubba. Bubba positions Jeff on top of the table. Matt gets up and tries to dropkick Bubba but instead gets caught by Bubba and powerbombed into the canvas. D-Von picks up Jeff and irish whips him into the ropes. Jeff springs back and Bubba and D-Von catch him in mid air and 3D him CRASHING INTO THE TABLE AND MATT HARDY! The timekeeper rings the bell and the Dudley Boyz raise their hands in the air over the fallen Hardy Boyz who gave a valliant effort. The music of the Dudley Boyz rings out as ECW Hardcore TV goes to a commercial break.

When we come back, commentators Joey Styles and Paul Heyman talk about the new head authority Alan Bushell and about how he has already made an impact on this night. The camera zooms back to the ring.

Taz comes out to a huge "Taz!" chant. He walks up the ramp with title in hand and enters the ring. He takes off the wig with the 13 logo and grabs a microphone. He begins to speak.

Taz: Now let me tell you that i don't want to come out here and waste time. All i want to do is fight. I'm issuing an open non title challenge right here right now in this very ring! Beat me if you can, survive if i let you!

Sabu's music hits the speakers and he is quickly rushed out on a table by several doctors. They unhook his straps and Sabu jumps off the table and rushes into the ring. Sabu and Taz start to brawl until a referee rushes into the ring. The time keeper rings the bell and the match is underway.

Sabu quickly dropkicks Taz onto the canvas. Sabu picks up Taz and tries to deliver a right hand but Taz catches him and Belly To Belly Suplexes him across the ring. Taz quickly rushes to Sabu and stomps on him. Taz lifts Sabu up and whips him to the ropes but Sabu swings back with a running dropkick. Sabu picks Taz up and dropkicks him. He picks Taz up and nails another dropkick. Sabu nails a standing moonsault on Taz. Sabu lifts up Taz but Taz fights back with a kick to the gut. Taz lifts up Sabu and nails a sit down powerbomb. He goes for the pin. 1-2-KICKOUT! Taz stomps on Sabu's leg repeatably and elbow drops the right leg. Taz applies a boston crab to the right leg of Sabu. He holds it in tight as Sabu squirms to get out of it. Sabu raises his hand but manages to kick Taz in the head. Taz tries to apply the hold again but Sabu kicks Taz again. Taz stumbles back and Sabu dropkicks him. Sabu gets up on the top rope. Taz gets up and Sabu lands a diving cross body on him. Sabu covers. 1-2-NO. Sabu hits an elbow drop followed by a standing moonsault. Sabu covers again. 1-2-KICKOUT! Sabu lifts up Taz but Taz counters with a big boot! Taz lifts up Sabu and hits him with a boot in the back of the head before locking in the Tazmission! Sabu fades! The timekeeper rings the bell and Taz wins. Taz gets his arms raised in the air in victory. Sabu however manages to recover and hits Taz with a kick to the back of the head. Sabu jumps on the rope and hits an Araban Facebuster on Taz. Sabu then kicks the referee in the head and hits a DDT which sends the referee down instantly. Sabu, being addicted to tables, slides Taz out of the ring. Sabu goes out of the ring and puts the unconscious Taz on top of the table which was used to escort Sabu. Sabu gets back in the ring, jumps on the rope and hits Air Sabu on the outside crashing through Taz and the table. Both men are unconscious. The crowd start a "Holy Shit!" chant. Joey Styles shouts "OH MY GOD!" as paramedics rush to the reckage as ECW goes to a commercial break.

When we come back from commercial break, the music of Tommy Dreamer rings throughout the arena.

Tommy Dreamer steps out of the curtain to "Dreamer!" chants. He walks down the ramp. He enters the ring and gets a lot of cheers. He waits for his opponent, but it is very clear who it is after the music hits the speakers.

The camera pans all around the crowd, trying to find him but soon they spot the Sandman, in the bottom row of the crowd. He takes his can of beer and shakes it twice before pouring it into his mouth. He hits his head with his cane five times causing him to bleed. He walks along the banister. He jumps off and enters the ring. He drops the can and the cane reluctantly to the outside. He and Dreamer stare each other down as Sandman's music stops playing. They then wait for the third opponent. Who will it be

The music of RVD plays over the arena. RVD walks out of the curtain to boos. He does the thumbs RVD taunt to massive boos. He runs down the ramp into the ring and imediately starts to attack Sandman as the match goes underway. The timekeeper rings the bell and the match is underway.

RVD spin kicks Sandman who falls to the ground. Dreamer nails RVD with a flurry of lefts and rights until Dreamer hits him with a neckbreaker. Dreamer picks up RVD, he grabs both of his arms, lifts him up and nails a double underhook backbreaker. Sandman grabs the cane and nails it into the back of Dreamer. Sandman nails Dreamer again and again with the cane. RVD rolls out of the ring and grabs a chair. RVD slides it into the ring as Dreamer gets rocked by a left hand from Sandman. RVD jumps onto the top rope and dives onto Sandman only for Sandman to move out of the way and for RVD to crash and burn on the canvas. Dreamer grabs the chair and nails Sandman on the back of the head. Dreamer then tries to hit RVD with the chair but RVD grabs the chair, throws it to Sandman and near Vandaminators his head off! Dreamer gets clotheslined by RVD. RVD stomps on Dreamer, runs and nails a Rolling Thunder on Dreamer! Sandman however slides out of the ring, grabs a table and slides it into the ring. Sandman tries to get into the ring but RVD blocks him with a sharp kick to the head. RVD sets up the table in the middle of the ring but gets DDT'd to the canvas by Dreamer. Sandman slides in the ring and Lou Thesz Presses Dreamer to the canvas hitting him with lefts and rights. RVD spin kicks Sandman and sets him lying down on the table. Dreamer tries to nail RVD with a DDT again but RVD nails him with a cane shot to the head. RVD lays Dreamer on the table, on top of Sandman who is also lying on the table. RVD gets on the top rope before Five Star Frog Splashing THROUGH DREAMER SANDMAN AND THE TABLE! Fans chant "Holy Shit!" as RVD slowly rolls over and covers Dreamer! 1-2-3!

RVD celebrates in the ring over the fallen Sandman. Dreamer gets up and raises his hand up, for a handshake. RVD reluctantly shakes his hand but suddenly the music of Shane Douglas, the current ECW champion hits the PA

Shane Douglas rushes out to the ring and attacks Dreamer, hitting the Pittsburg Plunge. Shane then turns his attention to RVD and nails him with the ECW Title. RVD falls on impact. Shane smirks and is about to leave the ring when...'We're Not Gonna Take It' by Twisted Sister plays on the speaker and the new head authority Alan Bushell walks out with a smirk on his face. He stands at the top of the ramp with a sad look on his face. He begins to speak.

Alan Bushell: Shane, i know that you're heading to JAPW to be the head booker. I know that this may be your last appearance on ECW! But i cannot allow you to leave JAPW with the ECW title in hand. Therefore you are stripped of your title! The match to determine the new champion will be held at Holiday Hell. And it will be Rob Van Dam versus the innovator of violence, Tommy Dreamer! So bye bye and don't let the door hit you on the ass in the way out!

Fans sing Hey Hey Goodbye as the timekeeper forces Shane to give him the title and Hardcore TV goes off the air.

ECW News And Rumours:

After agreeing to be the head booker of JAPW, Shane Douglas has now officially left ECW. ECW doesn't appear to be suffering even after the loss of one of their top stars.

ECW has went on a hiring spree for workers to develop. So far, ECW has signed Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Charlie Haas and a major signing from Mexico, La Parka.

The head booker of ECW, Alan Bushell is thinking about bringing in a new title for a potential cruiserweight division. This could be inspired by the new signings and the remaining lightweight workers who have nothing planned for them.

There is possibility of ECW creating a new match type. Nothing major has been leaked but it may include either tables, ladders or chairs.

The tag division seems to be growing slowly, however ECW head booker Alan Bushell is thinking of signing new workers for the growing tag team division.

There is talk of Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Shannon Moore and Shane Helms forming a minor stable called the OMEGA alliance. Plans are for them to wrestle dark matches mostly to allow better workers to take up TV time.

re: The Rise Of Extreme - Extreme Championship Wrestling

Dark Match: Charlie Haas, Jerry Lynn, The Blue Meanie and Spike Dudley defeated Hardy Boyz, Shane Helms and Shannon Moore in 16:01 when The Blue Meanie defeated Jeff Hardy by pinfall.

The camera pans all around the arena as Hardcore TV starts. The TitanTron then shows something and we get a close up. It's the Dudley Boyz walking backstage. Suddenly they are ambushed by Little Guido and Tracy Smothers. The Dudley Boyz are taken off guard and quickly left on the ground in a shamble. The ECW tag champions walk off smirking at their body of work.

The camera pans back to the arena when the music of the Pitbulls goes off in the arena. They walk past the curtain and walk down the ramp too many a boo. The music of the Dudleyz then goes off as the fans cheer.

The fans wait for the Dudleyz to come out but how can they come. Their music stops. A few seconds pass and their music rings out again.

The announcer is about to say that the Dudleyz lose by forfeit but suddenly...

The Dudley Boyz music rings out again! And they come out even though they may be hurt. They run down the ramp into the ring quickly and begin to brawl with the Pitbulls. The bell rings.Bubba Ray nails Pitbull I with a Bubba Cutter and throws him out of the ring. D-Von nails Pitbull II with a Saving Grace and stomps on him. Pitbull I and Bubba Ray go to their seperate posts. D-von picks up Pitbull II but Pitbull II counters and lands a big boot. Pitbull II stomps on the injured leg of D-Von and nails an elbow drop. Pitbull II tags out to Pitbull I. Pitbull I lifts up D-Von and nails a huge powerbomb. Pitbull I levels D-Von with a big boot and leaves him lying on the canvas. Pitbull I hits D-Von with a series of right hands, lifts him up into a crucifix position and crucfix bombs him into the canvas. Bubba Ray sneaks behind Pitbull I and nails a Bubba Cutter. Bubba gets out of the ring and D-Von tries to clothesline Pitbull I but he dodges and D-Von collides with the referee. While the referee is out cold the tag team champions sneak into the ring with crowbars and decimate the Dudleyz. When the referee recovers all he sees is Pitbull I covering D-Von. 1-2-3 the Pitbulls win. Suddenly the tag team champions sneak back into the ring and nail the referee with crowbars. They and the Pitbulls then proceed to decimate the Dudleys leaving them in a pile of their own blood. Security rushes out and manages to escort the Pitbulls and the champs to the back as we go to a commercial break.

When we come back, Joey Styles and Paul Heyman hype the fact that the new signing Chavo Guerrero is debuting next!

Chavo Guerrero comes out. He runs down the ramp and slides into the ring. The music stops playing and he waits for his opponent.

Justin Credible comes out. He walks down the ramp and slides into the ring.

The match starts. Credible and Guerrero tie up. Chavo low blows Credible quickly and is warned that it is illegal, in this match anyway. Chavo plants Credible with a dropkick and quickly elbow drops him. Chavo tries to pick up Credible but he counters and kicks at Guerrero's face, sending him back. Credible spinebusters Guerrero to the mat and stomps on him. Credible whips Guerrero to the ropes but Guerrero counters, jumping on the ropes and hitting a plancha dive on Credible. Guerrero gets on the top rope and tries to hit a frog splash, but Credible moves out of the way and Guerrero crashes and burns. Credible picks Guerrero up and is about to hit the That's Incredible but Guerrero counters with a fast and furious head scissors, sending Credible out of the ring. Guerrero gets on the rope, waits until Credible is able to stand and dives on him sending himself and Credible to the concrete below. Guerrero tosses Credible into the ring. Guerrero rolls back in, waits until Credible gets up and plants a huge Tornado DDT. Guerrero covers for the 1-2-3! Guerrero wins as Hardcore TV goes to a commercial break.

When Hardcore TV comes back, all sx competitors are in the ring. RVD and Sabu go to one corner and Taz and Tommy Dreamer go to the other side leaving Bam Bam Bigelow and Sandman in the ring. The bell rings and Bigelow clotheslines Sandman. Bigelow picks up Sandman and nearly breaks his back with a HUGE powerbomb. Bigelow tags out to RVD. RVD comes into the ring. Bigelow picks up Sandman in a powerbomb position, RVD kicks Sandman square in the head, letting Bigelow drop him down with a huge powerbomb that rocked the ring. Bigelow goes to his post and RVD stomps on Sandman. RVD tries to lift Sandman but Sandman counters with a stone cold dropkick to the head. Sandman manages to tag out to Taz. Taz enters the ring and clotheslines RVD. Taz lifts up RVD and hits a german suplex, not letting go of RVD before hitting another german suplex and Taz still not letting go of RVD hits a release german suplex sending RVD all the way across the mat. Taz tags out to the man who will face RVD at Holiday Hell, Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer pounces at RVD with a Lou Thesz press, pounding him with lefts and rights. Dreamer whips RVD to the ropes but RVD jumps and tags Sabu in who comes in immediately. Sabu and RVD hit a double dropkick on Dreamer before RVD goes back to his post. Sabu nails Dreamer with a series of dropkicks. Sabu whips Dreamer to the corner and charges at him with a right knee but Dreamer dodges and Sabu bangs his knee on the turnbuckle. Dreamer takes advantage and rolls Sabu up. 1-2-kickout. Dreamer tags in Taz who charges at Sabu and nails a leg drop. Dreamer reports back to the corner and Taz looks at the crowd and encourages them to cheer, but Sabu dropkicks him from behind and tags in Bam Bam Bigelow who tries to clothesline at Taz but Dreamer intervenes and hits the Dreamer DDT on Bigelow. Dreamer then picks him up and throws him to Taz who nails Bigelow with a belly to belly suplex. Taz picks up Bigelow and hits a jawbreaker before trying to knock down Bigelow with a clothesline but Bigelow counters and nails him with a big boot. Bigelow then proceeds to flatten him with a running splash before going for the pin. 1-2-Dreamer runs in and pulls Bigelow off Taz. Sabu, Sandman and RVD run in and a brawl ensues between the two teams. However Dreamer's team get the advantage and throws Sabu and RVD out of the ring. Dreamer and Sandman go back to their post. Bigelow pounces on Taz and hits a BIG clothesline. Bigelow tags out to RVD and leaves the ring. RVD gets on the top rope and tries to nail the frog splash but Taz miraculously recovers and catches RVD in mid air. Sandman and Dreamer brawl with Bigelow and Sabu on the outside floor as Taz hits a Northern Lights Suplex on RVD and goes for the pin. 1-2-3!

Taz's music plays but the TitanTron then shows Alan Bushell, in his office, dusting a few papers. He begins to speak.

Alan Bushell: Taz on Holiday Hell, you will face Sabu..and Sandman for your championship in a House Of Fun match! And to let you all know, i want to announce another match for next week's show! It will be Tommy Dreamer facing RVD in a singles match, non title of course. Good luck gentleman.

The sight of Alan on the TitanTron and both teams brawling in the ring is the last thing you see tonight as ECW Hardcore TV ends!

ECW HARDCORE TV

As announced last time on Hardcore TV, Rob Van Dam will face off against Tommy Dreamer in a nont title match, two weeks before their clash for the ECW championship at Holiday Hell. Who will win, who will gain the edge?

As a preview for Holiday Hell, one half of the Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray will face off against one half of the tag team champions Little Guido. Tracy Smothers and D-Von will be barred from ringside.

And, in his last match before leaving ECW for NJPW, Bam Bam Bigelow will face off against Matt Hardy. Will Bigelow gain the goodbye victory. Or will Hardy cause the biggest upset in ECW history.

Breakdown:
Rob Van Dam vs Tommy Dreamer
Bubba Ray Dudley vs Tracy Smothers (Their partners are banned from ringside)
Bam Bam Bigelow vs Matt Hardy

Feel free to predict. Why isn't anyone reading this diary? And remember to vote in the poll!
