![]() WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT Jumpin' On The Bandwagon! What? One thousand other people are doing WWE diaries? Damn!
Promotion Name: World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Style: Sports Entertainment Located: New England, USA Size: Global ------------------ So, what has happened in World Wrestling Entertainment since August? I'm here to tell ya. WWE once again started putting on fantastic matches and shows. In August, the return of Sabu to ECW shook things up, but John Morrison was definitely not expecting, at SummerSlam, to face another massive return in Rob Van Dam for the ECW title! After getting Van Terminated off the ladder, Morrison lost his belt to Mr. Tuesday Night, Rob Van Dam. John Cena had countless good matches, but naturally was pitted against stronger opponents such as King Booker. Rey Mysterio and Triple H returned at SummerSlam, defeating Matt Hardy and Carlito respectively. The Great Khali did not have a dream World title run as Batista swiftly took the belt at SummerSlam also. The landscape of WWE changed in August, and set the stage for the coming months. At the time, strange videos known as the "Save_Us.222" saga came forth, and got a lot of people wondering, as since the return of RVD and Sabu, fans were guessing wrestlers from all over the world, as far to say Bret Hart or Kenta Kobashi could 'save us.' Sadly, the news was also given that Scott Hall, former IC Champion as Razor Ramone, and original member of revolutionary group the nWo, passed away after a drug overdose. In September, and Unforgiven mainly, Rob Van Dam initiated a super hardcore on and off feud with his friend Sabu, culminating in a fantastic match at Unforgiven where RVD retained. Meanwhile in the Land of Extreme, CM Punk and John Morrison started a aggressive feud to prove they were the better man and had the right to a number one contender match. At Unforgiven, Morrison used the ropes to gain a victory. Jeff Hardy downed Umaga for the Intercontinental title and Kendrick and London retained their world tag team belts they'd won a month prior. September was the month that WWE officially went from International to Global, as a Monday Night Raw headlined by the IC title ladder match between Jeff Hardy and Carlito pulled huge numbers. In October the good fortune continued, with shows left and right pulling not only acclaim from our fans who love us whatever we do, but also from the plaudits who had marked a definite increase in quality. Fuelled by this, John Cena continued to hang on to his WWE championship, as did Batista with his World Heavyweight strap. At No Mercy, Batista defended against a hungry Rey Mysterio and Cena against King Booker once more, whose series of A* matches and segments had lifted Raw to new heights. Paul Heyman formed the "Extreme Alliance" which consists of himself and two newcomers by the name of Christopher Daniels and Bryan Danielson. He hopes that these two will re-evaluate extreme. King Booker and Triple H had a fantastic draw on Raw that wound back to WrestleMania 19, and in sadder news, on the final SmackDown of the month, Finlay wrestled and lost to Batista for the World Heavyweight Title in his final match before Finlay hung up the boots for good. Also, the Boogeyman retired and was promptly allowed his contract to run out. Again, in sadder news, Tammy Sytch, known as Sunny to our old WWF fans, passed away on an overdose of cocaine. After it was thought she cleared up her act, she had a seemingly fatal relapse. As with Scott Hall earlier in the year, she was tributed on WWE television. In November, we started a fantastic surge towards Survivor Series. First on the list for November, though, is Cyber Sunday. John Cena's opponents were out of Randy Orton, King Booker and Triple H. Batista's were out of Kane, Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy. On the night, Triple H was chosen to wrestle John Cena, where the match ended in a double disqualification after the jilted Orton and Booker attacked both men. On the SmackDown side, a rather suprising choice as Matt Hardy was given an opportunity and used it, ultimately coming up short. On the same card, the IC title triple threat had a Escape Only Cage stipulation chosen by the fans, as Jeff Hardy walked out with his belt intact against Carlito and Umaga. Punk and Morrison had another fuelled match, when the fans chose Parking Lot Brawl. It was a great pay per view. The fans were super hyped about Survivor Series as numerous massive matches were lined up, and videos prior told of revealing the "Savoir" of WWE with the Save_Us.222 saga ending at the big event. At Madison Square Garden, 28,000+ piled in to see Batista defeat Rey Mysterio and then find a note telling him to come to the ring at the end of the night. Team Hardy defeated Team Umaga when Jeff Hardy and CM Punk survived, pinning Umaga last. And Randy Orton pinned King Booker in the main event, winning the WWE Championship in a fatal fourway including Triple H and champion John Cena. Batista came out and said he'd beaten everybody and this 'Save_Us.222' guy was a joke, before the mysterious videos kicked in. The numbers unscrambled themselves and revealed "Save_Us.Y2J"! Chris Jericho has returned and is going straight after Batista! It's been a helluva ride in WWE these past few months, and as we head toward the last month of 2007 and then 2008, it's promised to be even more chaotic. With Randy Orton as new WWE champion, the return of Chris Jericho, and Edge and Shawn Michaels coming back from injuries with The Undertaker mere weeks away from a return, World Wrestling Entertainment really looks to be hotting up! -------------------- WWE Royal Rumble Royal Rumble Match WWE Championship Randy Orton © vs. Jeff Hardy World Heavyweight Championship Chris Jericho © vs. Rey Mysterio Card Is Subject To Change [color=#666666]This message was edited by Shmoe on Sep 23 2008.

Shmoe Does World Wrestling Entertainment |
![]() Preview After an amazing Survivor Series that saw the return of a superstar and a new WWE Champion crowned, World Wrestling Entertainment will be spending one week in the UK! The superstars of Raw will be having a very special trip as, for the first time since having knee surgery, fans in England will get to see the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels back in action. HBK will be taking on constant championship threat King Booker in what is sure to be a great showing from both men. Michaels will be wanting to come back strong and establish himself in the title picture, but Booker will not be wanting to get knocked out! One day after defeating John Cena and ending his more than a year long reign at Survivor Series, new WWE Champion Randy Orton will surely have a lot to say, and he's also taking on 'The Insane Luchador' Super Crazy in non-title action. Will the supremely arrogant champion be energized by his win or will he continue his cocky ways? Carlito didn't do great in his Survivor Series match, being the first elimination at the hands of a Kane chokeslam. The cool caribbean star will be wanting to regain some momentum as he takes on another one who will be wanting to build themself up; former as of last night champion, John Cena. Will Cena feel more fan backlash from the fans of England, or will they rally behind the former champ who wasn't even pinned to lose his belt? In the final confirmed match of the spectacular Raw, two big winners at Survivor Series will battle it out. Being the captain and winner of his team, Jeff Hardy will defend his Intercontinental Championship against a man who defeated the legendary Mick Foley, the innovative, cocky Shelton Benjamin. Both these men can fly with the best of them, Shelton has a technical advantage and Hardy has a brawling advantage. The match will be a roller coaster to watch, but you'll have to tune in on the USA network to see the best Raw has to offer! Confirmed Matches: King Booker vs. Shawn Michaels Randy Orton vs. Super Crazy Carlito vs. John Cena Intercontinental Championship Shelton Benjamin vs. Jeff Hardy © OOC: Can somebody remind me how I stop the edit messages from showing up. ![]() Monday Night Raw Held at Coventry Skydome, England Pre Show: William Regal & Mr. Kennedy defeated Cryme Tyme in 8:54 Welcome To Raw! The theme tune of Raw, 'Rise Today' by Alter Bridge blasts over the sound system as the fans of WWE in the UK go mental. They haven't seen the superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment in a while, and tonight they're getting a huge show. The new HD screen plays the intro video and the many thousands of pyrotechnics go off as we get started with Monday Night Raw in the U.K.! Before we can get anything started, though, 'Burn in my Light' by Mercy Drive kicks off and gold lights pan the arena, and instinctively the fans know who it is; sure enough, new WWE Champion Randy Orton steps out from behind the curtain, his prize slung over his shoulder! The English fans send their jeers down from the cheap seats in the Coventry Skydome, but Orton looks absolutely ice box, happy with being the top dog on Raw. Randy Orton: It's been a long road back to me getting back on my rightful throne as WWE Champion, and it's such a disappointment that my first full night as being the Champ has to be spent in the crap infested country that is England! Last night, I proved my skill and my cunning and killed the legend that was John Cena's year plus title reign, at the same time defeating two legends in King Booker and Triple H. If you want me to prove I'm a Legend Killer, you've got your proof right there! Fans do not like Orton indeed. It's getting to riot level in here, in our first segment of the evening, but Orton just seems to be soaking it up. Randy Orton: Well, tonight I face a man who has never, is not, and will never be in my league, when I take on Super Crazy. For my first night as Champion, you'd think they could pick somebody from the elite for me to face, but no matter, because no matter who I face, Randy Orton is your new, reigning and defending WWE Champion and I plan to keep it that way! Rating: A We cut backstage quickly, where the fans erupt into boos at the sight of WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon, enjoying his time in England as a very stereotypical looking Englishman delivers Vinnie Mac his cup of tea. Vince smiles but before he can drink, his door bursts open, and dressed in royal garb and crown, King Booker and Queen Sharmelle burst into the office! Vince McMahon: Ah, King Booker! Queen Sharmelle! To what do I owe this royal pleasure? King Booker: Listen Vince, don't play like that with me. We're in a country now who actually respect royalty, so I demand you show me my recognition! Vince McMahon: What is it you want of me Booker? King Booker: You saw last night? Survivor Series? Randy Orton won that WWE championship that belongs to me! I'd just gave Triple H the Scissor Kick and was prime to pin Cena when he pinned me with his foot on the ropes! You gotta do something about it dawg, and give me my shot in front of this audience of peasants. Let me win my title! Vince McMahon: Sorry Booker but you're, erm...booked tonight. There's nothing I can do about it, seeing as both you and our new champion Orton have a match. Come back to me at a later time where I might care. Neither Booker or Sharmelle look impressed, but leave the office royally pissed off, as Vince smiles and gets back to his cup of tea. Rating: B+ The fans in the arena wait patiently to see what will transpire next. The lights go down and they start to buzz, wondering what this might be. On the heels of Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho and others these past few months, anything could happen, when a familiar guitar riff hits and... Oh, Oh, Shaaaaaaawn!! After months of absence with a serious knee injury, the 'Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels is back! He bursts out of the curtain, whipping the fans into a frenzy before kneeling on the entrance ramp and sending many pyro soaring into the roof of the Skydome! The fans are still lapping it up as HBK gets into the ring. Shawn Michaels: Well, not only is it great to make my return to Raw, not only is it great to make my return to WWE, but it's just great that I make my return live in England! Mega pop, naturally. Shawn Michaels: I've been watching from the sidelines for oh, so many months now, and it made me realise something; Raw is a lot better when you have your dose of HBK! Tonight, I'm taking on King Booker, a man who I've been watching, just can't quite get the job done, so tonight, I'm gonna get the job done and I'm going to stop the show! My knee is healed, and I'm ready to get back into the action and win myself a championship, so Booker, get ready because you might be feeling some Sweet Chin Music! Another mega pop. HBK is perhaps the most popular superstar in England when it comes to our roster, and who can blame them. The guy is a legend. Rating: A* Backstage, Maria is standing by with Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy! Hardy is on a roll right now and the fans know it, going mental. His popularity is at it's peak right now. Maria: Jeff, last night you won with your team against Team Umaga at Survivor Series! Naturally, you've been gaining some momen...uhh, momentam? No, that doesn't sound right... Hardy looks bewildered, to the amusement of the fans. Jeff Hardy: You're right Maria, I've been on a roll lately and Umaga is sure to be on my heels tonight, but Shelton Benjamin is doing well for himself. I mean, last night he defeated Mick Foley, who's a legend, but when he steps into the ring and my title is on the line, I pull out all the stops. The fans applaud Hardy on his speech as Maria still tries to figure out how you say 'momentum'. A graphic comes up to hype their match, next! Ratings: B for interview, B for graphic Intercontinental Championship Shelton Benjamin vs. Jeff Hardy © One of the finest athletes and one of the finest daredevils in WWE history square up here for the IC belt. Benjamin and Hardy lock up, and with his better technical knowledge, Benjamin soon takes advantage, working over Hardy with wrist locks and elbows. Hardy is weathering the offence as the Rainbow Haired Warrior is willed on by the great England fans. Shelton springboards and hits a bulldog and covers, getting a two count. Benjamin picks him back up and whips the champion to the ropes and doubles over too soon as Jeff boots him in the face and follows with a clothesline! Shelton gets back up as quickly as possible and is met with another Hardy clothesline. The best pure athlete in the 'E is on the ropes as Hardy turns him inside out with his modified dragon whip. Shelton is down as Hardy climbs the ropes...Swanton Bomb connects! Hardy scrambles into the cover, one...two...three! Jeff Hardy retains the Intercontintenal Championship and his momentum! Rating: A* Jeff Hardy gets to his feet and starts his celebration, holding his Intercontinental belt aloft on the turnbuckles, but as he climbs one the fans boo and Charlie Haas, Shelton's tag team partner is out in the ring and hits a modified powerbomb, sending Hardy crashing to the mat. Shelton joins in the attack and then, when it couldn't get any worse, Umaga storms down to the ring! Probably still irate over losing last night at Survivor Series, the Samoan savage begins to beat down Jeff with the World's Greatest Tag Team, when with a huge pop from the audience, a guitar riff kicks in and the World Tag Team Champions burst through the curtain and sprint to the ring! Paul London and Brian Kendrick are looking focused and slide into the ring, stereo drop-kicking the WGTT and then focusing on Umaga! Both of the much smaller men smash him with forearms but it seems to do nothing. Kendrick stumbles backward but London leapfrogs him, landing a lariat on the savage that sees him topple from the ring! Kendrick and London set the crowd on fire as Hardy, grabbing his neck, gets back to his feet and thanks the tag champs. Rating: B Backstage, John Cena is waiting. The former WWE Champion gets a mixed reaction, as he's come to expect from fans all over the world. John Cena: THE CHAMP IS HE...oh, wait. That's not the case. Thanks to Randy Orton cheating and pinning 'His Majesty' King Booker, I am no longer the WWE Champion. That's okay by me though, as it's only made me hungrier. So Orton, watch out because I'm coming for my title back. And tonight, Carlito, you're going to be sorry you got in my way. Rating: A* John Cena vs. Carlito Carlito is looking cocky as always, apple in hand, and the fans are actually quite behind him tonight. John Cena comes out to about seventy per cent thunderous jeers and thirty cheers from children and women. Don't you just hate that demographic? Anyway, Cena starts off with the fakest punches in wrestling, which piss the crowd off before Carlito slows the pace down, stomping Cena into the canvas. Carlito hits a standing spine buster and covers, one...two...kick out from Cena. The former champ gets up and hits that strange hip toss and gets a two count himself. Eventually, Carlito manages to get himself back in control and goes for the backstabber, but Cena manages to stay standing, suspending Carlito on his back and drilling him into the turnbuckle. Carlito releases and walks right into the F-U! Cena covers, and it has to be over, one...two...three, and Cena is declared the winner. Rating: A No Chance! So That's What Ya Got! Cena looks up at the entrance ramp as out onto it struts Vince McMahon with that messed up walk he does. He looks pleased with himself, however, and has a microphone in hand. Vince McMahon: Well, well Mr. Cena. That was quite a performance, congratulations on your victory. But I'm out here to address you as a former champion with an opportunity to get your championship back. Cena nods in agreement, clapping McMahon's decision. Most of the fans are still jeering. Vince McMahon: You see, I've just witnessed two amazing bouts and I feel like rewarding a few people. So I have decided that at Armageddon, two weeks from now, we're going to have a number one contendership match to Randy Orton's WWE Championship, and the winner will get their shot at Royal Rumble! The match will be former champion, you, John Cena...versus Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy! I hope you look forward to it, John. The fans explode at the mention of Hardy as Cena nods, pleased with the outcome and the fact he might have the chance of winning the title back at Royal Rumble. Rating: B+ Backstage, King Booker and Queen Sharmelle are standing by, with Booker still looking considerably annoyed about his earlier confrontation with the boss man, Vinnie Mac. King Booker: Me and my Queen here thought it was right to address a country where they respect royalty like it should be! I was cheated last night, from becoming a SEVEN TIME, SEVEN TIME, SEVEN TIME champion! I wanted Randy Orton tonight one on one, but apparently that's not gonna be the case as Orton would rather spend his time beating on a Mexican midget, so tonight when I beat the man everybody is heralding and welcoming back, Shawn Michaels, it'll prove that King Booookaah deserves his rematch! Rating: B+ Non-Title Match Randy Orton vs. Super Crazy Everybody's favourite underdog on Raw, Super Crazy, comes out to a fantastic reaction from the UK faithful. Over the past few months, he's dazzled in collisions with Jeff Hardy, Paul London and once before, Randy Orton. The WWE Champion comes out looking smug as per usual. Crazy offers a handshake, but the champion slaps him across the face! Crazy pounces and unleashes a flurry of punches on the champion, who is stunned by it. The Insane Luchador continues to bounce around the ring looking great, and goes up for a moonsault seven minutes in, but the champion is nowhere near weak enough and dodges it. Crazy is down clutching his rib cage as Orton stalks and runs up, booting the high flying superstar straight in the skull! Orton goes into the pin fall: one - two - three. It's systematic. Rating: B- Orton grabs his WWE title off Lillian Garcia and does his Legend Killer pose on the turnbuckles, soaking in the glory as the English fans let him feel the brunt of their abuse. Orton doesn't care; he's the champ. Rating: B+ The HD screen lights up and shows us a video, mixed shots between King Booker frequently coming so close to the WWE title over the past few months and Shawn Michaels recovery and matches prior to his injury. The video strolls on as the clips get frenetic and the fans get hyped for the main event of the evening, Shawn Michaels' return bout! Rating: B+ Main Event King Booker vs. Shawn Michaels Booker comes out to a lot of respect as the first competitor in this battle of veterans that can still go. When 'Sexy Boy' hits, the fans go absolutely ape shit. 'HBK' struts out, looking as good as he did before, with a slightly heavier beard, and sends the fireworks left and right. The two men lock up and vie for control, but neither can get it, and before long it deteriorates into a 'who can chop harder' competition? There is no clear cut winner as the sound of chops and Ric Flair esque "WHOOOO"'s echo around the Coventry Skydome. The pace stays quick with Shawn Michaels hitting the running forearm and kipping up, tuning up the band and aiming Sweet Chin Music, he lunges in but Booker ducks it and smashes HBK with a super kick of his own! One...two...kickout from Michaels! Michaels shows his old resilience as he gets to his feet and Booker punches him square in the mouth and kicking him in the gut, going for the Scissors Kick, he nails it! No! Michaels just slips under and Booker turns right into Sweet Chin Music! It connects! Michaels covers, one...two...three! A successful return for the king of comebacks, Shawn Michaels! Rating: A* Shawn Michaels gets to his feet and has his hand raised, smiling from ear to ear and clapping the audience, happier than ever to be back in the WWE! J.R. and Jerry Lawler thank the fans for joining them tonight for Raw live in the UK! Rating: B+ Final Rating: B+ Attendance: 1949 USA Network Rating: 43.07 Results: Jeff Hardy defeated Shelton Benjamin in 13:31 John Cena defeated Carlito in 13:40 Randy Orton defeated Super Crazy in 8:52 Shawn Michaels defeated King Booker in 18:18

![]() Preview ECW on Sci Fi comes to merry old England Tuesday night and will be settling in the Hull Arena to give fans a taste of Extreme action! After successfully retaining his belt at Survivor Series, Rob Van Dam is riding a wave of momentum, but if there is anyone dangerous enough to stop him, it's Sabu. Sabu will be taking on RVD for the ECW championship, and not only that, but it will be in a tables match! After joining the WWE, Christopher Daniels automatically asserted himself as part of ECW's most deadly by joining Paul Heyman to form the Extreme Alliance. Daniels is very sure of himself and in his obvious skill, but a man who is looking to educate him about extreme will face him, as ECW Original Tommy Dreamer will look to put the Fallen Angel down for the count and show that you can't be extreme just because you say you are, you have to go through the hardcore experience. In our main event of the evening, for the first time on free television, arch rivals CM Punk and John Morrison will go one on one. Morrison holds one singles victory over Punk, and since Cyber Sunday, Punk now holds two. Morrison will want to bring the score even again, but the Straight Edge Superstar won't be willing to give up his advantage without a hell of a fight! Scheduled Matches: Christopher Daniels vs. Tommy Dreamer ECW Title - Tables Match Rob Van Dam © vs. Sabu John Morrison vs. CM Punk
