![]() ECW on Sci Fi Held at Hull Arena, England - Tuesday Week 1, December 2007 Pre Show: Bryan Danielson defeated Balls Mahoney, Elijah Burke, Kenny Dykstra, Nunzio and Stevie Richards in 13:33. This Is Extreme! The infamous cry can be heard as the fans in Hull are ready for some hardcore wrestling as Drowning Pool's 'Bodies' hits the speakers. Joey Styles and Tazz welcome the fans watching all over the world to ECW on Sci Fi, but before long, we've switched to backstage where the fans go crazy; Rob Van Dam is standing by, the ECW title over his shoulder! Rob Van Dam: Now, it's come to my attention that since my return to ECW and my work in making this brand truly hardcore again, ratings and fan support have gone up tenfold. Dude, I'm not surprised, because I am the ECW World champion, I'm the face of Extreme, and that's what I do. And later on, I'll show all of you fans here in England why when I face my friend and enemy Sabu. And when I put him through the table, I know all you fans will chant Rob - Van - Dam! Of course they will. It's one of the best, and most popular, taunt/chants in World Wrestling Entertainment. Rating: B Christopher Daniels w/Paul E. vs. Tommy Dreamer 'The Fallen Angel' has been making waves in ECW and WWE for the short few weeks he's been here, and being accompanied by evil genius Paul Heyman reinforces that fact. As Dreamer comes out to his Man in the Box rip off theme, he stares daggers at Heyman for basically betraying the Originals who made his company what it was. Still, Dreamer is older now and despite only being a year younger, Daniels has nearly every advantage over Dreamer. Dreamer fends off Daniels with his brawling skill for a while, but it doesn't take long for Daniels to gain the upper hand. Both men are brawling with Daniels slipping under Dreamer's offence and hitting his own before Tommy Irish whips Daniels inadvertently into the referee! Dreamer manages to lock the Fallen Angel in for the Dreamer DDT, but Heyman slides into the ring and CRACK! Drills Tommy with the steel chair! Dreamer is clutching at his back, and quickly, Daniels drills Tommy with a falcon arrow and springs to the top rope, hitting damn near the Best Moonsault Ever! It's one...two...three, over! Rating: C John Morrison is standing by backstage with a microphone in hand, sunglasses adorned on his face and one of his extravagant fake fur coats. Like always, he has a smug grin on his face. John Morrison: It doesn't take a genius to work out I was screwed at Survivor Series. CM Punk blasted me with a Go To Sleep and Jeff Hardy gave me his crappy flip from the top rope and then I was pinned. It was a two on one situation after those vandals had taken out Umaga! Still, it doesn't matter because everybody in the world knows that John Morrison is superior, not just to CM Punk, but is the superior superstar in World Wrestling Entertainment. Punk, you may think you're good, all these fans may have fallen for your "straight edge" crap, but I'm going to expose you in front of the world tonight! For no apparent reason, Nunzio jumps into the screen, playing his stereotypical Italian character. Morrison looks confused. Nunzio: Mamma Mia! You go him, Morrisimo! Morrison stares at Nunzio for about two seconds before bitch slapping him across the face. Nunzio runs off as Morrison shakes his head and leaves the scene. Rating: B+ The HD screen comes on and plays a video hyping the tables match between ECW Champion Rob Van Dam and challenger Sabu. The video shows highlights of Van Dam's triumphant return, and all his previous violent matches with the Homicidal, Suicidal and Genocidal one! Rating: B ECW World Championship - Tables Rob Van Dam © vs. Sabu Sabu gets a standing ovation from the crowd, who are happy to see the psychopathic Original from Bombay, Michigan again. When Rob Van Dam's music hits, its a whole different thing! He does the thumb point to a huge reaction from the 2000 in attendance. It's not going to pretty, and that's obvious from the start as they start throwing hands at each other, Van Dam landing a kick but Sabu doing the same and then hitting of of his springboard calf kicks! Van Dam is down and Sabu does a springboard to a 180 leg drop! RVD is slightly groggy from the move but gets to his feet and gets whipped to the ropes, meeting a reverse elbow smash from Sabu. The Homicidal maniac goes for the first table outside the ring and picks it up above his head, but Van Dam somersaults out of the ring onto Sabu, smashing the table over his head! That move, however, didn't count as a true table break. Van Dam drops Sabu across the guard rail and goes to the apron, doing his twirling leg drop thing right across Sabu! Both men collapse outside the ring and stay down but Van Dam gets back up to booming cheers. Rob slides two tables into the ring and goes for Sabu, but is greeted with a chair thrown in his face! He doesn't go down but Sabu hits a running tornado DDT onto the very chair he just threw! Van Dam gets his face slammed into the steel steps and is thrown back into the ring as Sabu gets to the top rope and waits for Van Dam to stand. He leaps but is met mid flight by a wheel kick! Sabu goes down but springs back up, only to get blasted with a chair shot! Van Dam goes for a split-legged moonsault, but Sabu blocks with his knees, sets up the chair, jumps Van Dam, jumps to the ropes, Triple Jump Moonsault! Sabu sets up the table as Van Dam pulls himself into the corner, Sabu takes a run, jumps onto the table and aims Air Sabu! Miss! Van Dam ducks as Sabu crashes and burns, bouncing off the turnbuckle and back onto the table! Van Dam's eyes grow wide as he looks left and right, whipping the fans into a frenzy, he springs to the top! FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! Crash, straight through the table! Van Dam wins and retains the ECW title! Rating: B- Van Dam starts recovering as Sabu lies in a mass of broken wood when we cut and Layla is waiting by with CM Punk. Of course, she's just there to hold the microphone. I, nor anybody else, has any faith in any of her abilities. I smell a pink slip for her soon. CM Punk: Morrison, you like to talk a lot of bull to these fans. They're not as stupid as you like to think, John. They can see right through your veil and they know that for the first time when we show down on television, that all the luck in the world can't help you, because luck - is for losers. I am CM Punk, and I'm going to put you to sleep at last, John. After that, another video comes up hyping the up coming confrontation that is sure to be another fantastic effort from these two outstanding wrestlers. It hypes their matches at Unforgiven, Cyber Sunday, their confrontations in the Survivor Series bout and what might happen tonight. Ratings: B+ for promo and video Main Event John Morrison vs. CM Punk Both men go for a lock up tentatively, as to not give anything away. Both men lock hands and try to overpower the other but it's not working. Morrison forces Punk back into a turnbuckle, but Punk takes over and forces Morrison into other. Referee asks for a clean break and gets it. A collar and elbow tie up is next, both men jostling around, Morrison throws Punk to the ground but Punk is back up and connects with a spin kick right to the gut! Morrison doubles over as Punk lays in with the elbows and whips Morrison off to the ropes and Morrison gets taken over with a hip toss. Morrison struggles to his feet as Punk whips him from one turnbuckle to another and runs after him but Morrison gets a boot up into the Straight Edge Superstar's face. Punk reels backwards as Morrison explodes from the corner with a strange twist kick that sends Punk down. 'The Shaman Of Sexy' climbs the ropes and aims a big elbow drop, but Punk rolls out of the way, causing Morrison to crash on the canvas. Punk is back up and pulls Morrison up with him, attempting a suplex but Morrison ducks and goes for his own, Punk slips over the back and shoves the Tuesday Night Delight to the ropes, he rebounds and meets a massive number of chops from Punk! Punk goes for a shining wizard, but Morrison ducks it, hitting a twisting neckbreaker! One...two...kick out from Punk. Morrison pulls him back and sets him up on the top rope, going for a superplex, but Punk hammers away and Morrison, and underhooks the arms, what move could Punk possibly be planning here? We don't have time to find out as Morrison lifts and sends Punk flying back to the mat! Punk lands hard and Morrison lands a mid rope splash! One...two...No! Punk keeps his hopes alive here as Morrison slings him out of the ring, but Punk lands on the apron! Morrison realises to late as Punk hooks him up and hits a superplex from the apron to the floor! Both men are down and hurting as Punk makes it to his feet first, slamming John's head on the announcer desk and taking him around the ring, punching the hell out of him! Morrison hits him back and goes under the ring for a chair! Punk sees this and picks up a trash can lid as both men aim at each other, clashing weapons! The referee calls a double disqualification, but neither the fans or Punk and Morrison care, as they both keep hammering away, with Morrison cracking Punk over the head with his chair! Morrison drags Punk, smashing him with another chair shot and they fight up the ramp to the top where Morrison aims a final chair shot at Punk as he stands on the edge of the stage! He goes for it, but Punk ducks and lifts Morrison up onto his shoulders, the fans are going crazy...GTS, GO TO SLEEP! It cracks Morrison right in the mouth, and the momentum sends both men flying off the stage! They fall and crash down onto the numerous stage equipment as officials come to check on them, the fans go insane as ECW on Sci Fi fades out! Rating: A* Final Rating: A Attendance: 2000 Sell Out Sci Fi Rating: 17.31 Results: Christopher Daniels defeated Tommy Dreamer in 4:57 Rob Van Dam defeated Sabu in 12:35 John Morrison vs. CM Punk drew in 14.49

Another great show Shmoe. Looking forward to Smackdown. Also, do you use EWR for shows or just make them all on paper?

Great show. The first match was great, but disappointing it received only a C.
The Morrison - Nuzio moment was awkward but somehow funny, one thing though, Nuzio does not talk like that. If I recall correctly, he speaks clear english. I hope you push Nuzio, he's an interesting character. RVD winning over Sabu = good. Sabu is a hobo that needs to be fired. 8D I see you're developing Punk and Morrison, good stuff. Hopefully, you'll do better than WWE's version. -------------------

![]() Preview We round off the World Wrestling Entertainment tour of England when SmackDown! pulls in with an absolute adrenaline rush of a show. Fans in the UK have seen star studded match ups all week with the likes of HBK's return, Cena versus Carlito, Morrison versus Punk, but Teddy Long's brand have gone the whole nine yards in making this Smackdown exceptional. In a rematch from Cyber Sunday when he was voted into the World Heavyweight Championship match, Matt Hardy will once again try and take the World Championship from Batista. With Batista just shy of facing Chris Jericho at Armageddon, could Hardy capitalize on this distraction and use it so he can place himself in the World title match at Armageddon? After Survivor Series, Chris Masters was feeling the pain after submitting to a Ric Flair Figure Four Leg Lock. Rey Mysterio was also on the end of a earth shattering spinebuster from Batista and pinned. Both these men will be looking to pick up a little more momentum as 'The Masterpeice' will attempt to ground the highest flier in the WWE, the biggest little man Mysterio. On the heels of the announcement that he will face Rey Mysterio at Armageddon for the number one contendership, a hungry as ever 'Rated R Superstar' will make his return on Friday as Edge will take on the monster that is Kane. Kane had a strong showing at Survivor Series, pinning Carlito in a classic Survivor Series bout, and its obvious the Big Red Machine wants to get back into the World title picture. After being sidelined with a pectoral injury and having to relinquish his World belt, Edge will be looking to follow Shawn Michael's example and win on his return to the promotion. Of course, this bout has personal history, as who can forget when Edge stole Kane's wife, Lita, from him. Although years back now, that kind of pain doesn't heal easy and Kane may be looking for some more retribution. In the main event of the evening, we will have WWE's saviour step back between the blue ropes of Smackdown. After months of mysterious cryptic messages on Raw, ECW and Smackdown, the lengthy suspense was uncovered at Survivor Series' climax when 'Y2J' Chris Jericho returned to the promotion, inciting Batista to grant him a match at Armageddon. The charismatic Canadian will be looking to gain some more momentum as his historic return got him a match for the big prize. Looking to derail that momentum is the always arrogant United States champion MVP. Porter claims that he is Smackdown and the WWE's MVP, but Y2J won't be standing for that on his triumphant in ring return Friday night! Scheduled Matches: Chris Masters vs. Rey Mysterio World Heavyweight Championship Batista © vs. Matt Hardy Edge vs. Kane Non Title [US] Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Chris Jericho

![]() Friday Night Smackdown! Held at Brighton Centre - Shown Friday Week 1, December 2007 Pre Show: Jamie Noble defeated Jimmy Wang Yang in 8:50 'Cause I Just Wanna Be Famous! Puddle of Mudd's Famous hits the speaker system as WWE in HD brings you a stacked Smackdown card on the final leg of World Wrestling Entertainment's tour of England, having spent all week doing Raw, ECW and house shows in the country. Pyro fires from all sides of the stage and around the HD screen as the fans in the Brighton Centre are going crazy for it, but before they can settle into their seats, the screen starts flickering blue and flashing up scenes reminiscent of the Save_Us.Y2J campaign! The fans are on their feet as the tron lights up... 5...4...3...2...1 BREAK THE WALLS DOWN! Every one of the two thousand in attendance go ape shit for the arrival of the Saviour of WWE, Chris Jericho! Jericho steps out onto the stage, pacing around and willing the fans to make some more noise, which they happily comply too. Naturally, Jericho has a microphone in his hand, and is grinning from ear to ear. Chris Jericho: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to...SmackDown! Is! JERICHO! Mega pop. Jericho: Now, I know a lot of you are talking, questioning "Why now Jericho? Why, after all these years, have you decided to return to the WWE?" I thought that my videos would have cleared this up but I, Chris Jericho, am here to Save the WWE! But yet, I hear more questions, 'Sexy Beast, what do we have to be saved from?' Look around you dear fans, look at the state we're in. We have a no-talent moron like Batista holding onto the most prestigious prize on Smackdown? Oh no, no, this just isn't right! The fans are slightly confused as to what to make of Jericho's statement on Batista, but most of them cheer because, it's Chris Jericho! He's back! Jericho: And so I looked at the state of WWE, and Smackdown in particular and said to myself 'Chris, there has to be something you can do! The company you love is going down and down and you have the DUTY to save it!' So, I geared up, put on my game face and here I am, the Ayatollah of Rock n' Rolla! The Sexy Beast baby! So at Survivor Series I make my statement by strutting out in front of the whole world and getting me where I belong, in a World Heavyweight Championship match at Armageddon! My first pay per view in nearly three years, and I'm going to be winning myself a mighty fine prize, and when I finally get to strap that belt around this gorgeous waist, you'll realise that not only Smackdown, not only Raw and ECW, not only WWE, not only professional wrestling but the whole entire world will neeeveerrrrrr... The crowd respond with the signature "Eveerrrrr" Jericho: Neeeeeevveeerrrrr! Again, the English fans respond "Everrrrrrer!" Jericho: Nevveeeerrrr...Eh - Eh - Eh - Eeeeveeeeeerrrr! Be the same! Again! A fantastic first promo back for the first ever Undisputed champion and our "saviour". The fans absolutely love the guy, and it seems like Jericho is on top form. Rating: A JBL and Cole do some nattering quickly, to basically say that we'll be seeing Mysterio versus Masters, with both men trying to build some momentum. Rating: B Chris Masters vs. Rey Mysterio The Adonis that is the Masterpeice has not been on the receiving end of much luck since August with management. Mysterio explodes from the stage and the fans of England are very excited to see the Mexican superstar. Mysterio of course, is hopping around the ring like a mad man, hitting springboards, hurricanranas amongst nearly every other move in his book to get the crowd warmed up. Masters slows it down and aims to put on the Masterlock, but Mysterio dives forward sending Masters across the second rope. Naturally, the fans one hundred per cent love it when Mysterio hits the 619, and again when he springs up and nails the West Coast Pop! One, Two, Three. Rating: B- Rey Mysterio has his music play as he gets back to his feet, and has his hand raised. The fans are lapping it up when suddenly their cheers turn to boos. Mysterio is oblivious as somebody hops the guard rail and slides into the ring. Mysterio turns around...SPEAR! Whipping down his hood, it reveals - EDGE! The Rated R Superstar is officially back in WWE! The fans boo as Edge tries to soften up his opponent at Armageddon early before heading up the ramp. Rating: B Backstage, we have Kane standing by with Josh Matthews, who looks positively terrified at giving the monster an interview. Kane doesn't look too worried about Josh, strangely. Josh Matthews: K - Kane...wh - are you thoughts on, uhh... Kane: My thoughts on Edge? My thoughts on the backstabbing asshole that is Edge? In 2005, Edge stole my wife from me, and I didn't get many chances to avenge that. These past few years he's been on top of the world, but I plan to bring him down to mine, a world of suffering and a world of pain. And tonight, that is what Edge will experience! Despite often being forgotten, Kane is still an absolutely awesome promo man when you give him the time. The fans really connected with it. Rating: A At this time, we're standing by in the arena when some strobes start going off and a familiar tune hits the speakers, which the fans go crazy for... OOHHH YEAAAAAAHHHHH! As Matt Hardy makes his way to the ring. He makes signals around his waist that he is a rightful champion. We flick back to a video earlier with an interview with Matt, who talks about thanking the fans for voting for him at Cyber Sunday, and about winning a World title in England. Rating: B World Heavyweight Championship Batista © vs. Matt Hardy Matt Hardy is already standing in the ring when the chunky riff of 'I Walk Alone' kicks in and the fans are on their feet for the World Champion Batista! Dave, despite being close to talentless, can work a crowd and does his machine gun arm taunts and the pyro flies from left to right and back. Batista walks to the ring with a purpose and it's underway. Hardy avoids a tie up, using his speed to his advantage, he avoids another one and dropkicks Batista in the knee! The Animal goes down to one knee and Hardy hits a miniature bulldog! He covers, one - two - kick out from the champ. Hardy pulls him up and backs him into the corner, climbing up for the ten punch and hitting four when Batista grabs him and walks out, looking for a Batista Bomb! It looks like hes about to pull the trigger, but Hardy leaps over his back, landing on the second turnbuckle, and Batista turns right into a twisting cross body block! Hardy lands on top, one - two - another escape by Batista. Hardy hits a few of those brutal sounding punches before attempting an Irish whip, but Batista reverses it, charging after him and hitting a huge clothesline in the corner! Hardy stumbles out and meets a second clothesline! One - two - Hardy kicks out. Batista pulls Hardy back up and whips him toward the ropes but Hardy ducks a clothesline and comes back with a forearm smash, but it just dases Batista! Hardy attempts another one but Batista grabs him and lifts him above his head...Gorilla Press out of the ring! Hardy lands hard as the World champion gets his bearings back and rolls out after the challenger. He picks up Hardy and drops him across the guard rail and goes to throw him into the steel corner post, but Hardy does another knee dropkick, taking one of the champs legs out! Hardy climbs onto the top steel step, runs across the apron and lands a leaping lariat! The fans chant Matt's name as he rolls back into the ring to break the count, closely followed by Batista. Hardy is on fire here and picks up Batista, looking to finish it with a Twist Of Fate! He twists, but Batista shoves Matt of to the ropes and when Matt comes back - SPINEBUSTER! It connects hard as Batista rolls on top, One - Two - Three! Batista retains! Rating: B- The HD Screen lights up to show us a video, playing 'Coming Home' by Alter Bridge, and low and behold, Edge has a highlight video playing about his having to give up the World Heavyweight Championship, about his injury and whatnot before we cut to the mat himself, grinning. Edge: Sure is great to be back, isn't it? Great to be back where I belong, on Smackdown, where I am king! Not a big fan of that statement, are the fans. Edge: I've been out for how long now? Six months, from July to December? And all that time, I've been watching the belt trade from my greatness to the lumbering robotronic Great Khali? The talentless muscle mountain Batista, who I already defeated thrice? Are you freakin' kidding me? Which is why, after having never been beaten for my title, I figured I'd be given a shot, but it seems that Mr. 'Save Us' got there first! And I have to face a midget to get a shot at the title? Wait, I thought they fired the junior division...no matter. Because earlier I already proved Mysterio isn't in my league and at Armageddon I'll prove it again, because I'm the Rated R Superstar, and I'm back! One of the best promos since the time that I started this job. It's good to have Edge back on the roster, he's fantastic. Rating: A* Edge vs. Kane The fans are hyped for this one as the wall of fire comes out of the stage and the Big Red Machine marches to the ring. Our fans in England are very excited to see him as he sends all the flame up from each turnbuckle. Before long "You Think You Know Me" blasts out and Alter Bridge is heard. Dry ice floods the entrance way as Edge walks out with a purpose, looking not the slightest bit afraid of Kane. As he slides into the ring, though, Kane goes straight after him with the stomps! Edge rolls from the ring as Kane, on somewhat a personal vendetta tonight, follows. In his haste, Kane makes the rookie mistake of rolling in and Edge lays the stomps down on his opponent. He backs Kane into the turnbuckle and throws some hard punches, but Kane turns it around and lands a huge uppercut on the Rated R Superstar! The former World champion is reeling as Kane follows up with some more gigantic punches and whips Edge to the ropes, aiming for the big boot but Edge slides under the leg and grabs Kane under the chin, and drops into a seated position, pulling Kane with him. Edge covers one - two - but Kane kicks out. Edge pulls Kane back up and starts slugging away, drilling Kane with an implant DDT known as Edgeucation! One - two, and another kick out from the Big Red Machine. Edge pulls his hair in frustration and aims to put Kane away, measuring him for the Spear but Kane moves and Edge crashes into the referee! Edge gets back to his feet and grabs Edge by the throat...CHOKESLAM! A thunderous chokeslam from Kane as he covers, but the referee is still out cold! Kane shakes him around and he stirs as Kane covers, the count is amazingly slow, one......two......thr-NO! Edge kicks out just in time! Kane doesn't believe it and picks Edge up, going for another Chokeslam, but Edge punts Kane right between the legs! Kane goes down as Edge backs up into the corner, the referee is finally stirring as the hunger is Edge's eyes lights up...SPEAR! It connects this time as Edge hooks the leg, one - two - three! Edge wins! Rating: B+ Whilst Edge celebrates his return victory to Smackdown, we head backstage where United States champion Montel Vontavious Porter is standing by, his title as always around his waist, sunglasses on his face. MVP: There's been a lot of talk recently about Chris Jericho, about how Y2J will "save us" and a whole load of other lies. Chris Jericho does a lot of talkin', but for the past year, it's been MVP who has bee doing the walkin'! I've been one of the longest reigning United States champions in the past decade! Nobody can take this from me, and tonight I'll make another example out of Chris Jericho, because I'm a playa, and Jericho is just a joker. 'Caues I'm MVP, half man, half amazing and Chris is just half man. And with that, MVP walks off to do some final preperations for his massive main event next. Rating: B+ Main Event (Non Title) Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Chris Jericho MVP actually has a cheering section in the crowd tonight as he sends all those fireworks out from the huge stage. The Ballin' Star holds his US title high above his head, and the man with Power Ranger attire looks confident. When the countdown hits for the second time tonight, however, it's meltdown in Brighton as the fans are just waiting for Jericho to appear! The lights go down and come back up, and Jericho is there with outstretched arms, pumping away decked out in brand new encription tights! Y2J is looking ready as he struts to the ring, flexing for his female fans. The match starts up with a collar elbow tie up and Jericho backing MVP into the corner. Charles Robinson asks for a clean break and gets it, but MVP aims a right hand that Jericho ducks and Jericho starts firing off some knife edge chops, garnering huge "WHOOOOO's" from the fans. MVP stumbles back as Jericho aims a toe kick at his gut and another knife edge, backing MVP into the corner. Jericho whips MVP across the ring and follows with a clothesline and then a springboard dropkick! Jericho yells "Come on, baby!" to the crowd, who explode as they know Jericho still has it! Jericho picks up MVP and hoists him up into a suplex, but just holds him there as more and more fans get onto their feet before Y2J drops the baller with it! Jericho is on fire and whips MVP off to the ropes, but the US champ recovers and smashes Jericho with an elbow! Jericho spins and Porter catches him, twisting into a spin out powerbomb! MVP covers Jericho, one - an early kick out from Chris. The first ever Undisputed champion makes his way back up and recieves a few jabs at the hands of MVP, but dodges a haymaker and does a double leg trip, trying to pull Montel over into the Walls of Jericho! MVP struggles with all his might and makes it to the ropes. Jericho releases and the two men lock up again, with MVP sneaking a punch to the temple in. It dases Jericho long enough for MVP to go for the Playmaker, but Jericho has enough smarts to lock his hands, meaning MVP crashes to the canvas alone! Jericho immediatly grabs the legs and turns, locking MVP in the Walls of Jericho! Jericho has it locked in! MVP struggles with everything he has and makes a desperate crawl for the ropes, but the number one contender drags him back into the center of the ring and sits back! MVP can't take it, his hand is hovering...he taps out! Jericho wins the match by submission! Chemistry helped for a fantastic main event. Rating: A* Jericho is celebrating on the turnbuckles and the fans are going crazy as Break The Walls plays over the speakers, but Jericho looks up the ramp and sees the World Heavyweight Champion Batista walk out onto the stage! Jericho looks at Batista and signals that the belt is coming to him, whereas Batista just holds his championship in the air, telling Jericho he will never be able to win the title again. Ratings: B for celebration, B+ for staredown Final Rating: B+ Attendance: 2000 Sell Out CW Rating: 7.46 Results: Rey Mysterio defeated Chris Masters in 9:11 Batista defeated Matt Hardy in 10:45 to retain the World Championship Edge defeated Kane in 15:44 Chris Jericho defeated MVP in 18:04

Great show as usual, love the Jericho-Batista build up you're doing. It would be good to get Jericho beat the hell out of Batista. He's been at the top for too long now.
Mysterio winning against Masters was predictable. Batista retaining, predictable since it would be awkward if Batista would lose his title so early when he has a feud with Jericho upcoming. XD Too bad Edge beat Kane. I wanted Kane to win. -------------------

![]() Preview World Wrestling Entertainment returns to the United States of America this week after a successful tour of England. Luckily for our home country, they won't be missing any top quality action from the superstars of Raw! The Conte Forum in Boston, Massachusetts will play host to an important Raw, because in the blockbuster main event Randy Orton's challenger at Armageddon will be determined. In a six way elimination match, we will see Bobby Lashley, Mr. Kennedy, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, King Booker and Umaga go head to head for a chance to win the WWE title at Armageddon. Lashley and Kennedy have had a rivalry these past few weeks, so they may be unable to take advantage. Triple H has been on a roll since he returned at SummerSlam, being defeated only once and is looking for another WWE title opportunity. Returning from injury last week, Shawn Michaels had an impressive showing against another man in that match, King Booker. Both men of course will be wanting to get back into the big belt picture. Umaga has been bulldozing his way through near everyone, and this could be the next step. ![]() Monday Night Raw Held at Conte Forum, Boston - Monday Week 2, December 2007 Pre Show Carlito defeated Snitsky in 5:03 by pinfall with a Backstabber. Welcome To Raw! The all too familiar voices of Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler greet us as we gear up for another great edition of Raw, the first in the US since Survivor Series! Fireworks fly off in all directions as we view highlights from the tour of England. Unfortunately, we're cut short by Armando Alejandro Estrada strutting to the ring. The Cuban businessman, as always, is accompanied by his client, former two time Intercontinental Champion, the Samoan Bulldozer Umaga! Estrada looks confident with himself. Armando Estrada: Now, everybody listen to me! Tonight, I, Armando Alejandro Estrada and my esteemed client Umaaaaaaaga! I will guide the Samoan Bulldozer to his greatest victory yet, yes! Tonight, Umaga will gain the right to a WWE title shot and he will defeat Randall Orton at Armageddon, no, and finally we will sit on top of the wrestling world! Umaga deserves the right more than any of the jokers on dis roster, and he will start a new era of WWE! So forget John Cena, Jeff Hardy, Shawn Michaels...this is the start of the Umaga Age! A great promo from Estrada, who is fantastic on the microphone. He really got some heat from the crowd, and Umaga does some good acting next to him. Unfortunately for those two, it's not quite over! TIME TO PLAY THE GAME! The fans go crazy as The King of King's Triple H steps out onto the stage, a microphone in his hand as well! Estrada looks shocked and Umaga just looks...like Umaga. Triple H: Now, let me get this straight? Estrada and Umaga...the gruesome twosome...you actually believe that tonight, you'll get to face Randy Orton at Armageddon? Please, tell me your joking! First of all, Umaga, you couldn't scrape out a win against Stevie Richards! Second of all, you two must be out of your minds if you think I'm not going to Armageddon. I haven't held a world championship since two thousand and five, but tonight and then at Armageddon, I right that wrong! So Umaga...get ready because it's time to play the game! Ratings: A for Estrada and Umaga's piece, A* for Triple H's response. We flick to the announce booth of JR and King as they talk about what's just happened, before they decide to hype the match between two great athletes as we get a preview of the Armageddon ladder match when Charlie Haas takes on Brian Kendrick! Rating: B Brian Kendrick vs. Charlie Haas The match starts off at a quick pace with both men using their mat wrestling knowledge to try and out wrestle the other. Haas locks in a front facelock but Kendrick spins over and puts Haas in an armbar. One half of the World's Greatest Tag Team rolls through and goes to kick off Kendrick's head, but the World Tag Team champion evades it and goes to lock Haas in a leg lock, but Haas grabs the ropes early to avoid injury. Both men circle each other and Kendrick extends his hand in respect, Haas takes it but clotheslines Kendrick to the mat! Haas lays in with elbow drops to the lower back, trying to keep Kendrick grounded by locking in a side headlock. Kendrick works his way back up and throws Haas off, Haas hits him with a shoulder block. Haas runs to the ropes and leaps over Kendrick, Kendrick goes to leapfrog Charlie, but the former tag champ stops dead and slaps the taste out of Kendrick's mouth! Kendrick recoils from the impact, but then jumps on Haas, firing off left and right hands! Haas tries to cover up as the referee pulls Kendrick off. Kendrick whips Haas into the turnbuckle and follows up but Haas ducks as Kendrick leaps! Haas points to his temple signalling his brains, not knowing Kendrick landed perfectly on the second rope and he connects perfectly with a moonsault press! One - two - no! Haas kicks out just in time. Kendrick is on a roll now, connecting with stiff forearm blows and goes for a dropkick, but Haas pulls the referee in the way! He's out but Kendrick continues his assault as Haas can do nothing to stop the high flying dynamo! Kendrick grabs Haas and goes for Sliced Bread #2, but his leg gets caught...by Shelton Benjamin! Charlie Haas' partner is here, and he flips Kendrick back into the ring, straight into a school boy by Haas! One - two - three! The World's Greatest Tag Team steal one! Rating: A After that, we cut backstage where Bobby Lashley is walking around the arena with a purpose, calling out "KENNEDY!" at every corner hoping to find his nemesis. He kicks open a door to an empty room and does the same, walking into the center of another empty room and mouths "damn it" at letting his enemy get away. The door swings shut behind him, and behind it, steel chair in hand, is Mr. Kennedy! Mr. Kennedy: SURPRISE...Surpriiise! Lashley spins around fast enough to make a 'WTF' face, but that face is soon smashed with the steel chair! Kennedy lays into Lashley viciously, bashing his ribs with the steel until he doesn't look like he's going anywhere. JR and King talk about Kennedy wanting to get Lashley out of the picture for the main event tonight. Rating: B In another backstage area we have Jonathon Coachman standing by, looking smug even though he is perhaps the worst color commentator in WWE history. Coach: Joining me at this time, 'HBK' Shawn Michaels. A great reaction as Michaels walks into shot, in his new tee with his stubble growing out a bit. Still, you can tell he's the same old Heart Break Kid. Coach: Shawn, tonight you face five other of Raw's top competitors to get a shot at the WWE title and Randy Orton at Armageddon. But, recently returned from a knee injury, how can you even hope to win against the likes of Umaga, Mr. Kennedy and King Booker? Michaels looks at Coach in bewilderment. Coach still thinks he's cool. He's not. He's a jackass. Pink slip? Shawn Michaels: Coach, were ya watchin' Raw last week, man? Did ya see HBK come out and stop King Bookah's show? Of course ya didn't, too busy jacking off to Mr. McMahon's dirty socks whilst running his laundry errands, but that's beside the point! Shawn Michaels, the Showstoppah, no matter what injury I go through, I come back and I come back better than ever! So when I face those five other men, and BAM, BAM, BAM, I pull out some Sweet Chin Music, and then I go on to face Randy Orton, you'll know that injuries, setbacks, they got nothin' on me, because I'm H - B - K! Rating: A* William Regal: Sunshine, let me tell you a little something... Suddenly, we're with William Regal. How and when did this happen? Who knows in all honesty. William Regal: I've had a bloody rough ride these past months! I've suffered every indignity forced on me, even to the point of not competing in my own bloody country! Jeffery Hardy will be my way of correcting that mistake when I win his Intercontinental championship for England, and for her majesty Queen Elizabeth! Rating: B+ Intercontinental Championship Jeff Hardy © vs. William Regal Jeff Hardy gets a huge reaction, bigger than what John Cena or King Booker has been getting these past few weeks. Hardy is really getting to main event calibre. William Regal, our reliable veteran, looks ready to go too. Regal slows the pace down to begin with, making sure Hardy can't take to the skies where he excels. Regal stretches Hardy in some old school submissions like abdominal stretches and leg locks, keeping him grounded. Regal pulls Hardy to his feet and lands a hard double arm suplex and covers quickly, one - two - not quite three. We nearly had a new Intercontinental champion there, but Hardy proves his resilience. We have a few more minutes of Regal keeping Hardy down, but Regal makes a mistake by going down to early for a back body drop, allowing Hardy to kick Regal up and land a spiked DDT! Hardy feels the momentum and starts to roll, landing big clotheslines and a double foot missile dropkick from the top rope! Hardy covers, one - two - thr-Regal puts his foot on the ropes! Hardy pulls Regal away and goes up top, signalling for a Swanton Bomb, but Regal rolls under the bottom rope. This doesn't deter Hardy as he launches himself with a cross body block to the outside! Hardy rolls Regal back into the ring, one - two - not quite three! Hardy decides to finish it and picks Regal up, going for the Twist of Fate, but Regal shoves Hardy sending him bouncing off the ropes and kicks him in the gut. Regal then lifts Hardy onto his shoulders for a powerbomb, but Hardy slips off onto his feet, grabs Regal by the neck, TWIST OF FATE! Out of nowhere! Hardy scrambles on top and hooks the leg, one - two -three! Jeff retains the IC title again! Rating: A Jeff continues to celebrate his victory, keeping his momentum rolling into Armageddon, as we cut backstage we see John Cena, Hardy's opponent at the event, looking almost impressed by Hardy's victory. Rating: B+ Next, we share a highlight video of Randy Orton. It has clips of Orton's WWE title win at Survivor Series, a load of his promos, and his other matches in general, featuring phrases like "It's not arrogance. It's Destiny." Rating: B Non Title Match Hardcore Holly vs. Randy Orton A lot of people expected, after Super Crazy last week, for the WWE champion to have a tougher opponent than ageing, balding Hardcore Holly, but Orton doesn't looked bothered having another lamb to sacrifice. Holly lasts about a minute before Orton just takes over, using his devastating 3 hour rest holds and punches, before the inevitable occurs and he nails Holly with an RKO, but instead of pinning him, Orton picks him up and positions him on the turnbuckle and hits him with a Super RKO! Of course, a three count soon follows. Rating: B- Orton celebrates, holding his WWE title above his head even though his opponent was less than stellar. The fans still love to hate the cocky young champion, however, which is always a good thing. Rating: B+ Todd Grisham is stood by with John Cena, who is looking G-Unit as ever in his padlock and chain and "Hustle. Loyalty. Respect." gear. What the hell does that even mean? Man, I hate our merchandising department. Grisham: As you can all see, I'm standing here with former WWE Champion John Cena, who will face Jeff Hardy a week and a half from now for a chance to win his championship back. John, how do you feel about Hardy, who has been on a hot streak for a few months now? John Cena: Yo, hear this. Jeff may be doing well for himself right now, but what ya don't understand is that dat cracka ain't been to the top of the mountain like I have. He's prancin' around there with his bright colored hair and his IC title when I've been reigning with dat title for over a year at a time. Now, ya'll tell me dat ain't impressive yo. So Jeff, homie, bring yo A game to Armageddon, because ya can be damn sure that's what I'll do! Quite a lot of jeers for Cena at this point, seeing as Jeff is gaining popularity at a rapid rate, one I can't believe myself. Still, a quality promo from the guy who I hate. Rating: B+ In a short segement, J.R. and King wonder what the hell is going on when Burn in my Light by Mercy Drive plays and Randy Orton comes out with his WWE title and takes a seat at the announce desk, ready to commentate on his future contender. Whilst all that is happening, the graphic comes up to hype the bout. Rating: B+ (both) #1 Contender Six Way Elimination Match Bobby Lashley vs. King Booker vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Umaga vs. Triple H In one of the biggest main events of the recent memory, involving three former world champions (four if you include Lashley's ECW run. I don't.) Every man stares down Orton as they make their way to the ring. The bell rings and every fan in the arena is on their feet. D-Generation X partners HBK and Triple H are the focus of the rest of the group, but they manage to fend them off, with HBK fighting Booker and HHH fighting Umaga, an injured earlier Lashley takes the fight to his attacker Mr. Kennedy! All six men are brawling hard and a double superplex on Umaga by HBK and Triple H is the highlight of the early going here! Kennedy has worked on Lashley's ribs, weakening him down by taking advantage of the injury he caused earlier. Kennedy goes up top for the Kenton Bomb, but Lashley gets back up and throws Kennedy from the top into the center of the ring! Kennedy is down as Booker and Triple H topple from the ring, trading punches and chops. Kennedy struggles to his feet, but as he does Lashley crushes him with a Spear! Lashley covers, one - two - three! Kennedy is out of there! Elimination #1: Mr. Kennedy at 7:56 The fans are indifferent to Lashley, but pop at Kennedy's elimination! Lashley holds his arms up, but clutches his ribs, not being made any better when he turns around right into a toe kick from Triple H! Lashley doubles over, leaving him prime, HHH gets the Pedigree! Lashley lands hard as the Game covers, one - two - three! Lashley is the second elimination! Elimination #2: Bobby Lashley at 8:12 Triple H knows there isn't any time to showboat and gets straight back on with the brawl going on here! Umaga is on the apron brawling with HBK, who manages to kick Umaga to the floor. As Umaga gets up, HBK springs off the ropes and hits an amazing Asai Moonsault! He tries to lift all of the Bulldozer's dead weight but can't seem to do it when Armando Estrada jumps on the Showstopper's back! Michaels throws the manager over his shoulder, and even though he tries to beg off, BAM! Sweet Chin Music to Estrada! The distraction allows Umaga to get back the advantage though, as Booker and Triple H deul it out on the top rope. Booker dumps Tripper off the top and hits a great missile dropkick and covers, one - two - no! Triple H kicks out, but Booker measures him as he gets back up...SCISSORS KICK! It connects hard as Booker covers! One - two - thr-NO! Amazingly, HHH kicked out of the Scissors Kick! Booker can't believe it as he grabs the referee trying to convince him it was three, but it wasn't. Tripper rolls from the ring, obviously dazed from the big kick as Michaels has tackled Umaga on the outside. Booker gets a little rest in the corner before going out after Triple H and throwing him into the ring post and getting back into the ring. Booker celebrates, spinning around a bit and flaunting his royalness, but he spins round and BAM! Sweet Chin Music! HBK hits Booker with the super kick for the second time in two weeks and covers! One - two - no!! Not quite! Umaga is back in the ring though, and HBK walks right into a Samoan Spike! One - two - thr-Kick out! Shawn kicks out of the Samoan Spike! Umaga can't believe it and jumps around, venting all his savage rage, but King Booker is back on him and drills him with a DDT, one - two - no! Another kick out! Umaga springs back up and smashes Booker with a headbutt when Michaels is back in the ring and hits a beautiful Superkick straight into the jaw of Umaga! Umaga doesn't go down unbelieveably, and Booker hits a superkick of his own, sending Umaga to the mat, one - two - three! Umaga is eliminated! Elimination #3: Umaga at 17:32 And then there were three. D-Generation X, Triple H and Shawn Michaels and King Booker. Booker knows he'll get teamed up on and hauls ass out of the ring, making the former friends, rivals and then friendly rivals lay into each other with some hard chops! HBK backs Tripper onto the ropes and goes for the Irish whip but HHH reverses and Shawn rockets across the ring, dropping down and hitting a baseball slide on the unsuspecting King Booker! Michaels slides out of the ring and throws Booker back in following, but gets decked by a Triple H clothesline! HHH hooks the leg, one - two - kick out by the Showstopper! Tripper picks Michaels back up and goes for an Irish whip but Michaels twists under and scoop slams Tripper, going up top for a big Elbow Drop, but HHH follows him up to the top and goes for a superplex, but King Booker is back up and powerbombs Triple H, making the always markable triple tower of doom! All three men are down but Booker is back up first, picking up Triple H with him and going for a hard clothesline but Triple H ducks it and rolls Booker up! One - two - three! King Booker is eliminated! Elimination #4: King Booker at 20:01 Triple H collapses out of exhaustation as it's just Michaels and Hunter left in the match! Booker is stunned and definitely pissed off as he rolls out of the ring and goes to Lillian Garcia, grabbing her steel chair! He enters the ring and shoves the ref down, looking at the still out cold HBK, and waits for Triple H to stand back up...CRACK! Steel chair meets skull as HHH goes down! Booker finally exits the ring and makes his way up the ramp as both men lie still for about a minute. Finally, both claw their way to their feet and start slugging out as hard as they can. Triple H hits a facebuster knee and aims a hard clothesline, but is disorientated from the chair shot and gives Michaels enough time to duck. By the time Hunter turns to recover, HBK is prepared - BAM! Sweet Chin Music! It connects and Michaels collapses on top of HHH! One - two - three! The Showstopper did it! HBK is going to Armageddon! HHH was denied by King Booker's chair shot and allowed Shawn Michaels to get the WWE title shot in an epic match. Final Elimination: Triple H at 23:52 Michaels has his hand raised and stares down Orton, who is standing on the ramp as Raw comes to a close. Rating: A* Final Rating: B+ Attendance: 8906 USA Network Rating: 43.84 Results: Charlie Haas defeated Brian Kendrick in 10:41 following interference from Shelton Benjamin. Jeff Hardy defeated William Regal in 13:04 by pinfall. Randy Orton defeated Hardcore Holly in 4:13 Shawn Michaels defeated King Booker, Mr. Kennedy, Bobby Lashley, Triple H and Umaga in 23:52; the order of elimination was Mr. Kennedy first, then Bobby Lashley, then Umaga, then King Booker, and finally Triple H.
