Shmoe Does World Wrestling Entertainment

Preview

Monday Night Raw comes live to the Patriot Center in Fairfax Virgnia for another action packed two hours of World Wrestling Entertainment! When talking about action packed, one of the first superstars on Raw you think of is Shelton Benjamin. With his innovative style of wrestling, he and partner Charlie Haas have made themselves a thorn in the side of Brian Kendrick and Paul London in recent weeks, but Benjamin will be going up against a man looking to make a mark on the roster, veteran Val Venis. Many are calling it a foregone conclusion, but Val is all about controversy and wants to start making his way up the rankings to his glory days of IC champion back in 1999. Will Benjamin walkthrough like many are expecting? Or can Venis surprise the entire WWE?

Talking of surprises, Shawn Michaels has done just that in returning from a potentially career threatening injury and pulling out some career performances. His opponent tonight, Carlito, has also been putting forward some performances like nobody has seen from the cocky Caribbean superstar since his inception in WWE. Shawn is challenging for the WWE Championship this Sunday in order to put the feather in the cap of his amazing comeback, but there is nobody like Carlito to pull off an upset. Think back to his debut win over John Cena for example. Whatever the outcome, it looks to be a thriller.

In the main event, two men who have had hard hitting battles in the past few years meet again on live television as former WWE Champion John Cena goes mano et mano with the Samoan Bulldozer Umaga. Umaga has never scored a victory over the leader of the Chain Gang, but there would be no better time than when Cena is going into a number one contender match. Cena reminds us that he never says die and what not, but when you stand in the way of a Samoan Savage, not much can stand up against it! You don't want to miss this huge main event on Monday Night Raw, live on the USA network!

Plus! Mr. Kennedy & Regal team up against Lashley & Super Crazy!

Scheduled Matches:

Shelton Benjamin
vs. Val Venis

Shawn Michaels
vs. Carlito

Mr. Kennedy & William Regal
vs. Bobby Lashley & Super Crazy

Main Event
Umaga
vs. John Cena

Shmoe Does World Wrestling Entertainment

World Wrestling Entertainment is going to bring what is shaping up to be on of the hottest cards of the year for Armageddon! Bringing the premier wrestling in the world to the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, fans in the arena and watching the world over will witness some of the most anticipated matches of the year! With this being the final pay per view before 2008, anything and everything is possible, with this being the final stop in the start of the road towards Wrestlemania in March!

World Heavyweight Championship
Batista
© vs. Chris Jericho
In what many are calling the match they're most looking forward too (it came top on the WWE.com poll), Chris Jericho, having returned in magnificent style at Survivor Series looks to put his feather in the proverbial hat as he takes on Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship! Batista has been reigning on top since Summerslam when he convincingly defeated the Great Khali, and has dispatched of every challenger since, from Khali, to Matt Hardy to Rey Mysterio. Batista is a seemingly unstoppable powerhouse, but Jericho is a smart athlete and has been in superb form ever since his return. If Jericho can pull it off, it will be a surprise and maybe even an upset, but Batista doesn't want to let that happen.

WWE Championship
Randy Orton © vs. Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels is another one looking to score a giant win at Armageddon since he only returned the day after Survivor Series and hasn't lost since, defeating premier Raw superstars like Triple H, King Booker and Umaga in order to get himself a WWE championship match. Michaels hasn't held a World Heavyweight title, or a title of any kind, since November 2002 to December 2002. You have to believe that since being dethroned at Armageddon 2002, Michaels has had enough of the five year gap. Randy Orton, however, is looking to get this title run right after his one month run in 2004. Orton is a second generation superstar, and is the present and future of the WWE. He overcame John Cena, Triple H and King Booker at Survivor Series to win the belt, but some say HBK will be his toughest challenge, being the most talented all rounder of his generation.

Number One Contendership to the World Heavyweight Title

Rey Mysterio vs. Edge
In a rivalry that has been intensified over the past few weeks, the ultimate underdog Rey Mysterio and the Rated R Superstar Edge will be battling it out for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at Royal Rumble. Mysterio has already had three shots at the championship since his return at Summerslam, and has been close but unsuccessful in his ventures to retain the belt he has held previously. Edge is also a former World Heavyweight Champion and has made his intentions clear to win it back since his return. Whatever happens, these two vastly different athletes will be sure to put on a match the fans will be talking about for a while to come.

Number One Contendership to the WWE title

John Cena vs. Jeff Hardy
By all accounts, John Cena never lost the WWE title. On the records, officially, he did, but Cena was never pinned or never submitted to lose his belt that he'd held for over a year. Randy Orton pinned King Booker to win the title at Survivor Series. Nearly a month later, Cena still seems bitter, and ready to take his anger out on whoever he has to in order to get the win. Maybe unfortunately for him, Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy is in the line of fire. Hardy has never been more popular than he is right now, having gone on a red hot streak since Unforgiven in September, and it doesn't look like many people can slow him down. If anybody could, it would be John Cena. Will the leader of the Chain Gang get the chance to fight Randy Orton one on one for his title? Or can Jeff Hardy finally climb past the peak of his career thus far to even dizzier heights?

King Booker vs. Triple H
When these two had a showdown at Wrestlemania XIX in 2003, it would have been strange to predict that four years down the line these two would be going at it again. However, since Booker apparently cost Triple H his place in the WWE Championship match, he demanded that he be placed against Booker. The King had no luck in his quest to dethrone John Cena throughout the summer and autumn months and so looked to take out his frustration. The match is sure to be a titanic battle between two of the biggest characters in wrestling.

ECW Championship Triple Threat Match

CM Punk vs. Rob Van Dam © vs. John Morrison
These three men, ever since the inception of ECW into World Wrestling Entertainment, have been tearing it apart, and tempers have only flared since Summerslam. John Morrison and CM Punk's rivalry has been ripping the land of Extreme in two with their classic battles, and Rob Van Dam has defended his ECW Championship against all comers, mainly his old enemy and friend, Sabu, in a series of unbelievably hardcore bouts. With Morrison scoring his first pinfall over Mr. Tuesday Night on Tuesday night ECW, albeit with help from the ropes, does he have the momentum and advantage? Will RVD pull it out and become "Mr. Pay Per View", as per normal? Will CM Punk reward all his loyal fans, and cement his extreme popularity by winning ECW's greatest prize? Find out at Armageddon.

The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry
Two weeks ago, as Mark Henry was bragging about all the people he has put on the shelf, one of them came back from the past to haunt him; back in May, Henry took credit for sidelining the Undertaker. Well, on Smackdown, a gloved hand emerged from the canvas, and dragged the super heavyweight Henry under. We can only assume that this was in fact, The Undertaker. On Smackdown, neither Henry or the Deadman, barring one cryptic video, were seen, but it has been confirmed by the WWE office that both men will be at the Target Center Sunday night!

World Tag Team Championship - Fatal Four Way Ladder Match

London & Kendrick
© vs. Deuce & Domino vs. Extreme Alliance vs. Haas & Regal
In a freak accident on Monday Night Raw, Shelton Benjamin has wound up being sidelined for about two months. Reports are sketchy right now, but his partner Charlie Haas has had no time to worry, as on Sunday he's participating in this highly dangerous ladder match. Recruiting, and receiving, a partner in William Regal, Haas has the veteran instinct on his side now, as these two technical masters will attempt to translate that success into ladder matches, which neither have been too successful in in the past. On the other hand, the Tag Team Champions Brian Kendrick and Paul London have a no fear, high flying, death defying style which allows them to adapt to any situation. Both in aerial warfare and technical battles, they can hold their own. Against three other teams though, can they keep their competitors away from the belts? Deuce and Domino and the Extreme Alliance, comprising of Christopher Daniels and Bryan Danielson, will be fighting for the right too. Deuce and Domino were WWE Tag Team Champions on Smackdown, and wish to bring the Raw straps back to the blue brand. As for Daniels and Danielson, both have had glittering careers on the independent circuit, but have yet to really prove themselves in the WWE. This could be their chance to climb the ladder of success.

United States Championship

Matt Hardy vs. Montel Vontavious Porter ©
This could be the start of a full blown rivalry from the on off one these two have had before. MVP has been a reigning United States Champion since Judgement Day, but Matt Hardy, who has been going as strong as ever in his singles career, is looking to be the man who derails him at last of the United States championship. With wins over the Great Khali and Ric Flair to his name in the past few months, Hardy looks like he can get the job done more than ever, but MVP has proved his resiliency since winning the belt, and that he will do anything to keep it. It will undoubtedly be one to watch to see if Hardy can finally pick up a major singles title after his cruiserweight run in 2003.

Pre Show:
Bobby Lashley and Cryme Tyme defeated Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch and Mr. Kennedy in 9:32.

LIVE on Pay Per View at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MA - Sunday Week 3, December 2007

We've arrived at Armageddon! Minneapolis is the location for an entire three hours of World Wrestling Entertainment where battles will be waged and warriors will be raised triumphant in the final WWE Pay Per View offering of 2007. The sold out crowd of 15,000 in the Target Center are going nuts as the pyro erupts from all over the stage and the opening video of Armageddon starts. After it's all over, we go to the Raw announce desk of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler.

JR: Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to WWE Armageddon! 15,000 fans have packed out the Target Center, and we are all very excited to see what will transpire here tonight. Beside me is my broadcast partner, Jerry 'The King' Lawler!
King: Well, JR, you hit the nail right on the head when you said we're all very excited! Look at this place, it's going into supernova JR! Haha!
JR: Tonight, the Raw brand will be represented in it's main match as WWE Champion Randy Orton a month into his reign will fight 'HBK' Shawn Michaels! Michaels is hungry, but has he got what it takes?
King: We've seen Shawn take on the odds and win before, but I think Randy might be just a little too young, quick and ready for him tonight! Still, you'd have to be crazy to miss it!
JR: And now I pass you over to our friends on the purple brand of Extreme, Joey Styles and Tazz!

Styles: Thankyou JR and King, and Tazz, what do you think about the ECW championship match tonight at Armageddon, possibly the biggest match in Extreme Championship Wrestling's history since the revival by Vince McMahon!
Tazz: Definitely, Joey, it's a huge one as the three undoubted premier wrestlers on ECW will go head to head, smash mouth in order to walk out the winner!
Styles: ECW Original Rob Van Dam, into his second reign with the ECW title, so far standing at five months with a staggering fifteen defences in that time!
Tazz: Punk and Morrison will have to pull a lot out if they want to dethrone Mr. Pay Per View of that championship!
Styles: Well, I think our friends over on Smackdown would like to say a little piece! Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield!

Cole: Wow, can you listen to these 15,000 in attendance, because I can't even hear myself! John, tonight we have a massive match for Smackdown as Chris Jericho makes his in ring return to Pay Per View, and he's fighting none other than Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship!
JBL: Can it, monkey boy! I know the situation of our own brands matches, I've been here with ya for the past few months...unfortunately.
Cole: That aside, it's the bout that everybody is talking about tonight! Can Jericho live up to his promise of saving us?
JBL: If anything is saving us, Michael, it will be when Batista powerbombs that cocky jive ass straight through the mat! 'The Animal' has been a dominant champion since Summerslam, and I doubt that he'll give that up for that scrawny Canadian!
Cole: Your opinions are your own, John! But we're staying right here as the first match tonight will see Matt Hardy, named as number one contender two weeks ago, fight Montel Vontavious Porter for the United States Championship!

Ratings: B+ for all hype.

MVP comes out to his desired reaction, one of jeers from the audience! The long reigning US champion taps his belt confidently and sends his pyro up in a wall. The Ballin' star waits in the ring until Monster Magnet's 'Live For The Moment' kicks in and Matt Hardy comes through the curtain! The fans love the elder Hardy boy as he makes his way into the ring. The on and off rivals have a staredown before MVP slaps Hardy! It elects huge "Ooohhh!" cries from the audience as Hardy slaps MVP back! They lock up and MVP spins Hardy into the turnbuckle, applying some pressure but lets up, before charging in! Hardy gets a boot up however, knocking MVP in the jaw! The champion recoils but Hardy follows up quickly with a bulldog! He covers, one - two - kickout! Hardy pulls the champion to his feet and unleashes some hard punches before whipping him to the ropes. MVP comes back and Hardy slips underneath him, MVP hits the other ropes as Hardy connects with a big clothesline! One - two - kickout. The champion isn't going down without a fight, and gets pulled back up but breaks Hardy's grip with some hard elbows to the stomach! Hardy is doubled over and MVP gives him a neckbreaker! Hardy is down as MVP keeps stomping away on him, keeping him on the mat. MVP retains complete control over the bout and scoop slams Hardy down, before aiming the elbow, yelling "Ballin'!" and dropping! One - two - Hardy powers out of the cover!

Hardy is being dissected by MVP, who's working over the legs with stomps and elbows. Every time Hardy goes to get up, Porter will drop another elbow on his knee to stop him. MVP eventually pulls Hardy up and goes for a Playmaker, but Hardy dodges it and Irish whips MVP to the ropes, but the US champ comes back with a huge running boot to the face! He drops down and hooks the leg, one - two - thr - Hardy kicks out again! Hardy is to his feet and makes a run for Porter, who ducks and forces Hardy to smash his head into the top turnbuckle! Hardy stumbles and MVP rolls him up with a schoolboy and hooks the tights! One - two - not like this - thr - KICKOUT! Hardy does it again! MVP can't believe it as he stomps Hardy down to the mat again. The former 'Version 1' is looking in a bad way, giving MVP enough confidence to climb to the top rope. In tiredness from the bout, he slips on the way up there but still makes it to the top, but before he can compose himself Matt is climbing up after him! MVP hammers away at him and throws him back down though, and the fans sit back down. MVP gets both his feet onto the top turnbuckle, but Hardy is back up and climbing! He stops on the second rope and throws a hard right at MVP which cracks him in the head! MVP looks dazed as Hardy grabs him in a front face lock and looks out over the crowd! They pop big time and all get to their feet...TOP ROPE TWIST OF FATE! MVP, and Hardy for that matter, land hard! Hardy can't capitalize, he's out. They lie for what seems to be an eternity before Hardy tuns and crawls towards the United States Champion...he crawls on top! One - two - Hardy hooks the leg - THREE! New United States Champion!

Rating: A

Charles Robinson grabs the United States Championship off the ring announcer and runs to the center of the ring where Hardy has rolled off MVP and is announced the NEW United States Championship! Robinson lays the belt across the chest of Matt Hardy as MVP rolls out of the ring.

Cole: Oh my God! John, Matt Hardy is the new United States Champion!
JBL: I can see Cole, thank you. Besides, I held that US Championship for a long time and I beat Matt Hardy more than once here on Smackdown!
Cole: Your point being?

Hardy has his arm lifted by the referee as in exhaustion he rolls from the ring and starts crawling, before finally getting to his feet, clutching his ribs and grinning from ear to ear, as Matt Hardy is your new WWE US Champion!

Rating: B+

From the uplifting sight of Matt Hardy's US Championship win, the fans have a turn of mood when the Rated R Superstar shows up on the screen, looking as focused and vicious as ever.

Edge: As we all know, or some of you dumb-ass Minnesota natives might not, tonight is called Armageddon. And that name is incredibly apt, because tonight is the Armageddon of Rey Mysterio's career! I've teamed with the guy in the past, sure, but what you never find out is what a show hogging, egomaniac that Rey Mysterio really is! So in the ring, I'll be doing wrestling a favour when I put the masked Midgetsterio out of the WWE for good!

After that promo, a short video comes up to highlight the conflict that Edge and Rey have been having in these past few weeks leading up to their number one contender bout.

Ratings: A* for promo, B+ for video.

Rey Mysterio pops out to an expected good reaction. When Alter Bridge hits, its a whole other level of hate towards the Rated R Superstar! Edge looks right at home though, a cocky grin still spread across his face. Edge sizes up to Mysterio and towers above him, shoving him! The bell rings as Mysterio shoves Edge right back! Edge laughs and then talks trash to the little guy, who opens up with right and lefts on the Rated R Superstar! Edge is reeling, but only for a second before he shoves the biggest little man back to the floor! Mysterio pops right up though and leaps around, hitting Edge with a modified headscissor attack! Edge is sent flying but rolls out the ring quickly to save himself from more offence. Mysterio makes the signal and runs for a plancha of some kind but Edge sees it coming and moves, as Mysterio decides to not jump out of the ring. Edge takes his time getting back through the ropes, but Mysterio immediately goes for him, as Edge throws him over his head, but Mysterio lands on the top turnbuckle! Mysterio goes for a moonsault press and hits it, but Edge keeps Mysterio on his shoulder! Edge parades the perimeter of the ring, looking cocky holding the 5'6'' superstar on his shoulder, but Mysterio rolls out and armdrags Edge! Edge springs back up in frustration but Mysterio leaps onto him and throws his across the ring with a monkey flip! Edge lands hard but is back on his feet in time for Mysterio to straddle the turnbuckle and start reigning down with punches! On the fifth, Edge grabs Rey's legs, spins around and drops him throat first across the top rope! Mysterio flips across the mat as Edge works over his neck, stomping him in the corner and then hitting a baseball slide on him. Mysterio is clutching at his neck as Edge picks up him and suplexes him over, floating into the cover, one - two - Rey kicks out. Edge picks him back up and nails him with a dropkick, covers again, one - two - Rey kicks out once more. The 'Ultimate Opportunist' is seemingly becoming frustrated as he slaps the mat. Edge beats down on Mysterio for about four or five more minutes, but every time the little man kicks out! Edge is pulling his hair out and screaming, charging for Mysterio who drop toe holds Edge onto the second rope! Edge is down and Mysterio bounces of the ropes - 619! Edge rolls across the ring and out the other side! Mysterio is taunting and sprints, aiming a baseball slide but Edge sidesteps and Mysterio slides to the outside, and he turns ...BAM! Vicious chair shot! Edge had a chair! The bell is rung and it's a disqualification victory for Rey Mysterio. Edge doesn't look so bothered, however and throws the chair down on Rey as he leaves the arena.

Rating: B+

Mysterio is helped by EMTs after that insane chair shot to the head, but we have to time as we cut backstage with The Coach, and 'The Game' Triple H.

Coach: As all you fans in Minneopolis can see, I'm standing by with 'The Game', 'The King Of Kings', Triple H. Hunter, welcome. Tonight you face King Booker because you say he cost you the chance to be number one contender.

Triple H: If Booker hadn't hit me with that chair, then I would one hundred per cent be fighting Randy Orton for the WWE championship tonight. But because that can't be done, I'm going to beat his punk ass into the ground, because I am that damn good!

Coach: Maybe the reason you didn't win in that match was because you aren't that damn good.

HHH glares at Coachman intently. Coach looks like he just laid a brick in his pants as Tripper smiles lightly. He pats Coach on the back as Coach is still looking nervous.

Triple H: Whatever gets you through the day, Coach. Whatever gets you through the day.

In the arena, King Booker's music hits as the fans send the boos down from the cheap seats. Booker is still waving to his 'fans' as Sharmelle comes out, but it appears she is ...disinfecting the ring? The crowd is confused as the attractive Queen sprays her disinfectant all over the ring, before King Booker announces he has too so that he can wrestle the 'heathen' Triple H in the right way. Before long, of course, the music of 'The Game' hits, and it's game on!

Ratings: B+ for promo, C+ for Booker & Sharmelle angle.

'The Game' makes a straight line for the ring, stomping down with a purpose but still finds time for his water bottle bit. Queen Sharmelle realises it's time to get out as Booker and Trips square off, the first time one-on-one since Wrestlemania XIX in 2003. The crowd is surprisingly amped for this one as they get in each others faces and lock up! The jockey for position and Triple H wins, putting Booker in a wrist lock. Booker gets out of it somehow though and hits a spin kick on HHH! An early cover, one - kicked out early. Booker picks Tripper back up and puts him in a side headlock, Hunter pushes him too the ropes but the King comes back with a hard shoulder block before dropping an elbow on 'The Game'! HHH is fighting an upward battle now as Booker continues to work over him and Trips keeps fighting up, only to get knocked down. Queen Sharmelle is willing on the King from ringside as he pushes Trips into the corner and puts pressure on his neck with the boot. Triple H is in a bad spot as Booker continues stomping a mud hole in him, not letting up for a second until referee Chad Patton forces him away. The King beholds his people and takes a short bow but HHH cuts the legs out from under him with a chop block! Triple H delivers a knee to Booker's, and then traps him in the Indian Deathlock! Booker is squirming in pain and reaching out, maybe to tap out! Triple H continues the pressure as Booker's hand starts coming down, but Queen Sharmelle grabs it and pulls it onto the ropes! Patton forces the former 10 time WWE World champion to relinquish the hold. Triple H looks around wondering what the hell just happened, and then looks dead at Sharmelle. The fans get to their feet as Triple H goes through the ropes to grab the Queen, but the King comes to her aid and clubs away at the back, regaining control.

Booker is back on top now, mashing away at the King of Kings with his hard right hands and chops, backing him into the turnbuckle. He whips him across the ring and follows up with a big clothesline. He whips Trips again, but he reverses and throws Booker across, following up with his own clothesline! Booker is on spaghetti legs right now as Trips positions him on the top rope and follows up, with a resounding superplex! It hits hard and Trips goes for the cover! One - two - kick out! Both men start up a gear, going for high impact offense as Triple H hits the facebuster and hooks Booker up for the Pedigree! A few seconds pass and its enough time for Booker to twist out with Hunter's arm, wrench him in ...BOOKEND! Lightning quick! One - two - kick out! The fans are out of their seats as Triple H kicks out! Booker can't believe it and waits for Trips to get up, aiming a Scissor Kick, but Triple H moves and nails the spinning Spinebuster! He covers, one - two - kick out by the King! Triple H can't believe it and in turn, waits for Booker to get up, kick to the gut, hooks it up, Booker breaks the Pedigree again! Booker Irish whips his nemesis to the ropes and Triple H looks psyched for the comeback on the worn Booker, but Sharmelle grabs the leg! Triple H tries to run back but is tripped! The HD screen lights up and the theme music for Armageddon, 'Mudshovel' by Staind, hits as the screen plays a video hyping Rob Van Dam's championship reign. It shows his highlights from his scathing feud with Sabu including tables, hardcore and anywhere goes bouts, with RVD standing tall each time. A video then plays for the ECW Championship match later on in the night, with clips of Rob Van Dam winning the championship in a ladder match at Summerslam, and the CM Punk/John Morrison battles. Finally, a video hyping the next bout, the Fatal Four Way Ladder match for the World Tag Team Championship, shows up.

Ratings: B+ for both ECW, C for Tag Team hype.

Charlie Haas and new partner William Regal, replacing an injured Shelton Benjamin, strut to the ring confidently, stopping to look at the ladders. Deuce and Domino come out to pretty much fan indifference, whereas the Extreme Alliance of Daniels and Danielson get quite a good reaction, especially from the smarks. The music of London and Kendrick hits, and the fans go wild for the Hooliganz as the World Tag Team Champions sprint to the ring, looking up at their tag team titles. Then, all hell breaks loose, with punches flying left and right. Deuce clotheslines Christopher Daniels down but gets dropkicked out of the ring by Brian Kendrick, Bryan Danielson escapes the ring by himself as Paul London squares off with Charlie Haas. Regal is looking for a ladder already and picks one up but Danielson is back up on the outside and and climbs onto the fan barricade, launching himself into Regal with a flip tope! ECW's Fallen Angel connects with the ladder, knocking Regal down. Brian Kendrick and Paul London are fighting it out with Deuce and Domino, who go for stereo suplexes, but wind up feeling stereo DDT's from the Tag Team champions! Kendrick grabs London's legs and flips him onto both the former Smackdown tag champs! The action is still fast and furious as the Extreme Alliance regain their teamwork and go after Deuce and Domino, with some double clotheslines and a double brainbuster suplex that send those 50's guys reeling. Haas has brought a ladder into the ring and tries to climb it, but Kendrick pulls him down and smacks him right in the chops. The ladder is erect, but D&D double whip Bryan Danielson face first into the metal! Danielson rolls out of the ring as the ring starts to clear as William Regal clotheslines Paul London to ringside. Brian Kendrick has been cleared as well by Domino as he scales the ladder along with Charlie Haas. Deuce makes sure Regal doesn't pull down his partner as they brawl as both men make it half way and start slugging it out on the ladder. In a surprisingingly athletic moment, Haas swings from the ladder and kicks Domino in the chest, sending him flying off the ladder, but the momentum makes the ladder fall and Haas with it! Every man in the bout is now down, until Christopher Daniels makes a surge for the ring! Daniels has another, taller ladder himself and sets it up as quickly as possible before scaling it. His finger tips touch the belt as Joey Styles screams for him to grab the belts for ECW, but out of nowhere Kendrick springboards from the top rope onto the ladder perfectly, and punches Daniels in the face! Daniels fires one back that rocks one half of the tag team champions, but Kendrick proves his tenacity by firing back an even harder shot! Daniels won't take no for an answer and hooks up Kendrick for what looks like a superplex from the ladder! Kendrick won't go over though, but Daniels finally gets him over, but Kendrick slides over the back and lands behind him on the ladder! An amazing feat of balance and presicion, Kendrick hooks Daniels head and runs up the ladder ...SLICED BREAD #2 FROM THE LADDER! Both men crash down from about ten feet up! Seeing the carnage, Regal enters the ring again and begins his ascent, but about half way up, Paul London climbs onto the top turnbuckle ...MISSILE DROPKICK! It sends Regal tumbling off the ladder! London is back up and climbing the tall ladder, and he has his fingers on the belt. He climbs another step and touches the belt, but Deuce is climbing up the ladder! London gets punched in the gut and is doubled over as Deuce hooks London up for something insane! London struggles off Deuce, but Bryan Danielson is setting up a ladder to the side! Danielson starts to climb as well and reaches for the belts, but both Deuce and London stop him in his tracks. Danielson is dazed, but finds the strength to leap and clothesline Deuce from the ladder! London is still on the ladder and reaches up to grab the belts, only for Charlie Haas to make his return! Haas is up to the top of the ladder and somersaults over London into a sunset flip powerbomb! Haas is hurting but uses all his might to pull himself onto the twenty foot ladder. He pulls himself up and reaches for the belts, Kendrick is back in the ring and clutching at the bottom rung to pull himself up - its too late! Haas pulls the belts down!

After that slightly lacklustre ladder match, John Morrison lights up the screen. Recently, his 'Tuesday Night Delight' character has got him up to one of the most over heels in the United States, shown by the intense jeers he recieves.

John Morrison: Hey, you can all just listen up to your real saviour, the 'Shaman of Sexy', John Morrison, because I spread the truth. It has been a long time since I held my ECW World championship. I was taken by surprise by Rob Van Dam at Summerslam, but last week I showed how the preperation, and the sheer sexiness of myself, can overcome any opponent.

The fans let out a massive, collective boo and a 'RVD' chant starts up around the arena. Morrison just adjusts his sunglasses, shrugs his fur coat on a little tighter and laughs.

John Morrison: You morons can support that potted up slacker all you want, but when I win back my ECW championship tonight, dispatching of that CM Punk along with it, ECW will finally be clean and a place proud to be bringing you the Tuesday Night Delight, John Morrison!

Styles: Tazz, Morrison seems supremely confident tonight considering his opponents, two of the best superstars in the WWE.
Tazz: Morrison has never been a shy one, no doubt, but his confidence may be the thing that stops him achieving. After all, we all know that confidence killed the cat!
Styles: Wasn' that curiosity, Tazz?
Tazz: Shut up, Joey.

I just wish this match could have been allocated more time in the schedule tonight. Punk came out to a huge ovation, all of these men being classified as A* overness around the US. Morrison came out to desired boos and soaked it all up, doing his paparazzi entrance perfectly. RVD gave his ECW title to referee Mickie Henson and the bell is rung. All three men circle each other, tentatively looking to tie up, but Morrison lashes out, smashing Punk with a forearm blow, and turning to RVD, kicking him in the gut and whipping him in the gut, but 'Mr. Pay Per View' whips Morrison instead, following up with a shoulder drive! Punk is back in the race and starts chopping the champion, delivering some stiff, Japanese style kicks. After that absolute stunner of a match that has sent Jeff Hardy to the Royal Rumble, the screen lights up with the man he could be facing, the WWE Champion Randy Orton. Fans jeer, Hardy has already made his way to the back, but Orton looks as smug as ever.

Orton: Wow, first of all I'd like to congratulate Jeff Hardy for becoming the man who gets to spare John Cena some embarassment at the Royal Rumble by losing to Randy Orton again with the WWE title on the line. I'd also like to congratulate Jeff on being the man who, instead of Cena, will be recieving a punt in the head at the Rumble. That's not what I want to talk about though, because you see, on Monday night I sent a message to Shawn Michaels! On Monday night, I proved to the whole world Michaels, he's getting to old for it, when I hit him with the RKO. The 'Heartbreak Kid'? Who is he kidding? The man is over forty, and still thinks he's breaking more hearts than me, the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in the history of this sport? Well, excuse me! Tonight, Shawn, I end another legends career, and it's going to be you. Shawn, it isn't arrogance; it's destiny!

After that, we see a video hyping the WWE Championship match and the attacks that Orton has put on HBK since his return to Monday Night Raw at the beginning of this month.

Ratings: B+ for promo and video.

HEY!

The fans jeer the hell out of Randy Orton, who makes his way to the ring first, the WWE Championship firmly around his waist. He pats it a few times and then throws up the 'Legend Killer' pose, sending sparks cascading behind him. The fans jeer until the familiar drumroll hits and the crowd rise ...

Oh, Oh, Shaaaaaaawn!!

Its time for 'HBK'! Shawn jumps out onto the stage, looking like he's been training hard all week for this match! Michaels looks dead at Orton as he pulls the traditional HBK pose, rather than dropping to his knees, sending pyros off all behind him! High fiving every fan who has their arm stretched out enough, HBK finally makes his way into the ring. Orton and HBK don't circle, instead just staring at each other intently. Orton looks down at the mat, back up and actually spits at the legendary Shawn Michaels! Michaels wipes it from his eye and straight shots Orton! Orton goes down but is back up, looking pissed off. The WWE Champ holds his jaw for a second and the two finally circle. They go to lock up but at the last second, Shawn pulls away and laughs at Orton, showing off some of his showmanship. The crowd laugh with him as Orton gets further frustrated. They circle again, this time the lock up happens with Orton taking advantage with the wrist lock. Michaels struggles, eventually turning the hold over, but Orton trips Michaels and goes to put his weight on top, but Michaels propells Orton off with his legs and hops back to his feet, only for Orton to wrap around him and into a chin lock. The fans chant 'Ten Min. Headlock!' at Orton in reference to his long rest holds. Surely enough, after a long rest hold Michaels fights his way back up, but Orton switches around into a modified backbreaker! Michaels looks to be in pain as Orton covers, one - two - HBK kicks out.

The Undertakes does his classic pose as we go to commercial. When we come back, we're backstage with Josh Matthews and he's interviewing ...nobody yet!

Josh Matthews: Minnesota, you've been treated to a great night of spectacular WWE action here tonight in the Target Center, with fifteen thousand completely selling the building out, which is just completely UNBELIEVEABLE! Now, while I just can't grasp the concept, here is one man who can't wait to get out there tonight, and put the feather in his cap ...I can't believe he's my guest ...CHRIS JERICHO!

The fans pop huge for Y2J, as he has been regularly one of the most entertaining characters and best performers since his return at Survivor Series. Jericho has a smirk on his face as Matthews looks star struck.

Josh Matthews: Y2J, are you looking forward to your match next?

Jericho: Am I l-l-looking forward too it, Josh? You've been doing interviews for what, five years now? Come on, Junior, give me somethin' to work with here! Of course I'm looking forward too it, Batista, that peice of trash jabroni, gorilla brained hunk o' muscles, has been pissing me off since before my return to the company, that a man with so precious little talent could reign above a roster, so tonight, when Your Saviour, Chris Jericho, gets Batista to the mat one, two, three ...it will be the second coming, just like I promised. And things will NEVEERRRRRRRRR!

"Eveeerrrrrr!"

Jericho: E-e-e-e-EVVEEERRRRRRRR! ...Be The Same! Again!

Also, roster pages have been updated.

Really enjoyed reading Armageddon, kind of went the way I thought it would in most of the matches but still a few suprises.

Good job, great layout

re: Shmoe Does World Wrestling Entertainment - First Raw Back is up!

Over 150 views later, and two people have given me feedback. Was my show that bad? Should I continue this game privately, because I was looking forward to setting up my plans and keeping this diary running. If anybody read, liked or even didn't like the show and wants to give me some constructive criticism, take a few seconds and leave me some feedback. Thanks.

I think it's good Shmoe. I like reading it but, I don't know what too say but, I liked the PPV. I hope I'll get some FB on my diary.

I like it bunches, but sometimes I just don't have time to sit down and read the whole show. Shortening it up would make it easier to read, and therefore easier to follow, IMO.

But that's just me. Anyway, hope you continue on with this because I want to see Y2J save me.

I hope Matt Hardy gets a World Title push.
