re: WWE - One Night Stand Posted

The show opens with a video package highlighting the main few matches of the night and pointing out that the night was 'Extreme' at least 8 times. JR and King welcome us to the event, once again pointing out the 'Extreme' of tonight. They pass it on to Cole and Foley, who talk about Foley's experience in Extreme Matches. And finally to Mike Adamle and Tazz, who discuss their sole match for the night. They pass it back to JR and King who have commentary for the first match of the night.

quote Falls Count Anywhere Match
Jeff Hardy .v. Umaga

Jeff Hardy's music plays throughout the arena to a warm ovation, but after thirty seconds, Jeff still isn't there. After moments of questioning from JR and King, the cameras catch up with the beginning of this match far from ringside where they normally begin, and instead the shot opens on Umaga already tearing into Hardy in the backstage area with a referee on hand to begin proceedings officially. In the corridor holding the two athletes, Umaga is using everything at his disposal in order to injure his opponent, and appears to be doing it successfully as he slams Hardy into a wall, causing a mean gash to open up on his head almost straight away. Umaga lifts up Hardy, who has slumped to the ground, and whips him across the hallway into another wall. Hardy flies into the wall, and falls straight down to the ground once again. Umaga screams loudly at his dominance, and tries to lift Hardy up a third time, however Hardy kicks out, sending Umaga stumbling backwards, and Hardy jumps to his feet and takes advantage.

He hits Umaga with right hands and left hands over and over again, not giving Umaga room to breathe, let alone retaliate. Umaga tries to fight off Jeff, but he is like a man possessed and dropkicks Umaga through a door, which sends him out into the carpark of the arena. Umaga falls down to the ground, and Hardy follows him out of the door, looking around at the environment he has now found himself in. He runs towards Umaga, and dropkicks him as he tries to sit up, sending him crashing back down, and his head bounces off of the concrete floor. Jeff lifts Umaga up off of the ground, and whips him into a car on the other side of the lot, and Umaga bounces up over the hood and smashes the windscreen with his back! Hardy follows him, and begins pummelling Umaga, as his head hangs off of the edge of the car.

Jeff begins to feel confident in his power, and walks around, looking for a weapon to use to help him hurt his opponent. He walks across to a flimsy looking car, and pulls the bumper off of the front. He walks back over to Umaga, who has now rolled off of the car and has pulled himself up to his feet. Hardy raises the bumper over his head as he runs towards Umaga, but he receives a kick in the gut before he has the chance to launch his assault. He drops the bumper onto the floor, and Umaga puts Jeff’s head between his legs, and lifts him up for a Powerbomb… And slams him hard onto the hood of the car! 1...2...3! Umaga wins!

Umaga looks proud of himself as he steps away from Jeff's caucus and the car. The referee checks on Jeff, who is holding his back in immense pain. They show a few highlights of the match but repeat the powerbomb onto the car over and over again, showing it from different angles and different speeds.

The cameras cut backstage to La Familia, where Edge is looking extremely confident. Vickie reminds him that after tonight, they won't have to bother about Undertaker again and that she's gonna make sure her little Edge-i-kins walks out as NEW World Heavyweight Champion. Edge smirks as the cameras cut back to the arena.

quote Singapore Cane Match
Big Show .v. CM Punk .v. John Morrison .v. Chavo Guerrero .v. Tommy Dreamer

CM Punk is first to make his entrance, briefcase in hand. He is followed by John Morrison, Chavo Guerrero, Tommy Dreamer and finally the 400 plus pound Big Show. Show walks around the ring for a while, standing over each participant in turn before the match officially begins.

Big Show is immediately attacked by a flurry of punches, kicks and other shots from the other four competitors, but easily barges through them. After delivering clotheslines, clubs and more to the four much smaller opponents, he hits an earth shattering body slam on Chavo Guerrero, then follows up with another to Morrison. Big Show hits two elbow drops, crushing the chests of both superstars. He then hits a slam on Dreamer, but as he goes for another elbow drop the ECW Veteran manages to roll out of the way, making Show connect with the floor. With the biggest threat down, the four take advantage as Punk and Morrison both deliver stiff kicks to the head, followed by a DDT from Tommy Dreamer and finally a Frog Splash from Chavo. They each ascend a turnbuckle and grab a Singapore Cane and stalk back towards Big Show. As he gets to his knees, each take it in turn to smack him across the back and head. Punk, Morrison, Dreamer, Chavo, Morrison, Chavo, Punk, Dreamer and continuously hit him. Big Show musters enough strength to shove Chavo and Morrison away, but Dreamer and Punk clothesline him over the top rope with two Canes, taking him out of the equation for a while.

Chavo and Morrison then use their usual tactics and attack Punk and Dreamer from behind with the canes, Chavo taking Punk to the outside and Morrison keeping Dreamer in the ring. Chavo and Punk work over each other at the announcers table. Chavo goes for a cane shot but misses Punk and almost hits a fan. Chavo steps back apologising as Punk grabs his cane from him and swings, but misses. He tries twice more but misses again. Chavo goes for a clothesline but Punk grabs his legs and catapults him over the top of the Smackdown announce table. Back in the ring, Dreamer launches Morrison over the top rope as The Shaman of Sexy tries to take him over the top of the rope. Morrison reaches his feet only to be met with a massive clothesline from Big Show. Big Show looks as though he’s going to do more damage, so Morrison’s Chick Magnet Partner, The Miz, attempts to make the save, only to be thrown off by Big Show with ease. Show angrily picks up the steel steps and goes to hit Miz, but is stopped as Morrison hits the stairs with a cane, forcing the steps to fall back onto the Big Show and saving Miz in the process. On the inside, Chavo runs over to Punk but is met with a powerslam and Punk goes for the first cover of the match but is unable to gain the three count. Morrison runs back into the ring and takes out Punk, but Dreamer puts him in a pumphandle position, with the Singapore Cane, and hits a Pumphandle Suplex! The crowd let out a huge gasp and “EC-DUB” chant for the Original ECW Wrestler. He stalks Punk and lifts him onto his shoulders for the Dreamer Driver, but Punk wriggles out and raises him onto his shoulders, going for the Go 2 Sleep. He drops Dreamer over his head and as he goes for the knee, Dreamer grabs his leg and somehow locks in a Single Leg Boston Crab. As Punk looks as he is about to tap out to the submission, John Morrison hits Dreamer over the back of the head with a cane, breaking up the hold.

The cameras go to the outside where Big Show is slowly but surely reviving. They quickly turn back and show Morrison going for a Superplex on Chavo, but is thrown off belly first. Punk uses Morrison’s kneeling body to elevate himself to knee Chavo in the face. Punk then goes for a Superplex, but Morrison grabs his legs for a powerbomb and all three men fall. With all three men down and Dreamer still recuperating from that cane shot, Big Show finally gets to his feet on the outside and walks round the ring to a trash can full of canes. He grabs one and dismantles both Bam Neely and The Miz with one and grabs another. John Morrison dives over the top rope and is also met with a cane shot, plus many more following. Show takes the whole trash can into the ring and destroys all the other three with them, taking Punk and Chavo from the ring, leaving just Dreamer and Show in the ring. Dreamer goes for an attack but is caught at the throat… up he goes! CHOKESLAM! Thunderous chokeslam from Big Show there. He lays down, hooks Dreamer’s leg and gets the cover for the win and number one contendership.

Big Show quickly leaves the ring... well not quickly, but quickly for a man of his size. He leaves the wreckage in the ring as Adamle and Tazz recap the keyspots.

Standing backstage is Todd Grisham with 'The Wrestling God', JBL. He asks him what he's going to do tonight, which he replies he's gonna go out there and dominate Cena, like he's done before. He's gonna prove to the world that he is better than John Cena. He's gonna prove to the world he is the top dog in WWE. And he's gonna prove that he is A WRESTLIIIIIING... GAWD. With that, his music plays and he leaves the interview area for his match.

quote First Blood Match
JBL .v. John Cena

JBL makes his way to the ring first in his limousine, before being escorted out, with a bit of pyro for him. Cena's music then hits for the biggest ovation of the night so far, and he milks the crowd applause on his way down to the ring. John Cena doesn’t even have time to complete the journey to the ring before he is attacked by JBL, who has charged up the aisle and launched a violent assault on Cena, immediately hitting him several times with strong right hands and throwing him into the side of his limo, which is still sitting in the aisle waiting to be removed. With Cena’s back up against the limo, JBL seeks the opportunity to hit some powerful body shots to Cena, and pounds his ribs repeatedly, until Cena is eventually able to break free, and kick JBL in the ribs himself. JBL stops in his tracks and goes down on one knee, and Cena hits a shot into the forehead of JBL, sending him backwards onto the floor with a thud. He looks down at JBL, and takes a run up, before kicking him into the limousine and causing a dent to appear in the side of the vehicle, but no blood as yet. Cena walks up to the ring and slides in, allowing the match to start officially, and the bell rings to signal the official beginning.

JBL walks back up the aisle, and slides into the ring himself, but is met by several stomps to the upper body by Cena, who isn’t going to allow the upper hand to go the other way for one minute. He lifts JBL up, and whips him hard across the ring, meeting him with a knee to the gut upon his return. JBL goes down to the ground again, but this time doesn’t waste any time in getting back up to his feet, and returning he favour from Cena as he kicks Cena in the gut, before clubbing his arm hard across his back and sending him down. He lifts him straight back up and locks up with him, taking him back down to the ground with a strong belly to belly suplex, before resorting to the slightly more unorthodox move of clawing at the face of Cena, trying to induce blood to appear from his forehead. When that doesn’t work, JBL uses his textbook brawling to punch Cena directly in the nose several times, but again none of them are able to cause Cena to start bleeding.

He lifts Cena up off of the ground, before whipping him into the corner and climbing up onto his chest, punching him several times in the head and causing his head to snap backwards after every shot. He jumps down after ten hard blows, and walks away, before running back and hitting Cena with a painful looking turnbuckle splash, causing him to stumble forwards and fall to the ground afterwards. JBL looks around, sure that his hands alone are not going to be enough to win the match for him, and slides out of the ring, searching underneath for something to aid his case. He eventually comes out from underneath the ring clutching a steel chair, and slides into the ring with it in his hands. The referee steps into his way, suggesting that he doesn’t use it, and while he is arguing with the ref, Cena dashes into the ropes behinds him and assaults him from behind! As a result of the impact, JBL falls forwards into the referee, sending him down to the mat clutching his head.

Cena backs off, and JBL sees the opportunity for success, no ref, no rules. He gets back to his feet, and grabs the steel chair that he had previously dropped onto the floor. Cena jumps up before JBL can attack, and dropkicks the chair into the face of JBL! JBL falls down onto the ground, and when the steel chair falls off of his face, it is clear to all that he has been busted wide open! He touches his head and glares at Cena, who moves over and tries to revive the referee. JBL gets back up to his feet while Cena’s attempts prove futile, and charges towards him as he turns around… Clothesline from Hell! Cena falls to the ground in a crumpled heap, and JBL looks on in anger. He walks over to Cena, and rubs his hand across his now covered in blood head, getting some of the blood on his hands. He kneels down and rubs blood on Cena’s face, just as the referee begins to stir! JBL notices that, and rolls out of the ring and grabs a towel that he brought to the ring with him from ringside. He rubs the blood off of his face with the towel and rolls back into the ring as the ref looks at Cena with his ’bloody head’… And calls for the bell! As dodgily as can possibly be, JBL has picked up the win!

He stands up from on the ground, and raises his arms up into the air, chuckling to himself as Cena gets up and realises what has happened. He touches his face, and glares across at JBL, before charging towards him and launching an assault, to the glee of the audience in attendance. Cena leaves JBL laying in a pool of his own blood, before leaving the arena with the full support of the crowd.

As JBL is helped to the back, the cameras go backstage where Big Show is being congratulated by some of the lower stars. He walks around the corner and is met by CM Punk. He extends his hand for a handshake before saying 'Remember Show; any time, any place, anywhere'. Before walking past him. The cameras go back to the arena where JR and King are once again commentating for their next match, the first ever Diva's I Quit Match in history.

quote I Quit Match
Melina .v. Beth Phoenix

The two divas glare across the ring at each other, each sure that they are the one that deserves to be the next Women’s champion. The referee checks both women to ensure they are ready to compete, before ringing the bell to signal the start of the match. Pheonix wastes no time at all, charging towards Melina, who has the pace advantage in this instance and is able to duck out of the way. Pheonix keeps running, eventually crashing into the turnbuckle, giving Melina the opportunity to gain the upper hand. She starts beating on the back of Pheonix, with punches, kicks and slaps to the almost bare back. She eventually raises her hand up high into the air, and blows a kiss to it, before bringing her hand down and scratching Beth’s back, causing her to let out a rather unattractive wail of pain. Melina steps back, and prepares a dropkick for Pheonix, however Beth is ready, and swings round, grabbing Melina’s head straight away and slamming it down onto the mat.

The audience boo the Glamazon as she walks around the ring confidently, and signals for Melina to get back up to her feet. She very slowly does begin getting up with the aid of the ropes, however her stint on her feet doesn’t last long, as Beth charges towards her and knocks her back down to the ground with an incredibly violent clothesline. This time Pheonix doesn’t waste any time, and lifts Melina up to her feet herself, before lifting her up effortlessly and dropping her out of the ring over the top rope. Melina continues rolling after hitting the floor, and grinds to a halt beside the commentary table holding the Raw announce team. Pheonix jumps down to the outside of the ring, and walks over to Melina. She goes to lift her up, but when Melina reaches her feet, The Glamazon realises that Melina’s hand is trapped in some electrical wiring. She goes to knock her back down to the ground… But Melina ducks it, and wraps the Wire around Beth’s neck! She pulls back, and Beth begins clutching desperately for air, but it seems like there’s no escape! Melina is ruthless! There’s no way she’s letting go!… Beth Quits! She yells desperately to the referee, and quits! Melina is the winner!

Melina refuses to let go, as a bunch of referees try to pull her off the Glamazon. She eventually lets go, but glares at her as she makes her way back up the ramp.
After an advert for tomorrow night's WWE Draft, Cena is backstage trying to tell the referee that he wasn't bleeding. He suddenly recieves a slap on the back by Randy Orton who tells Cena to stop whining and complaining, and being a little bitch because crybaby's never get far. Cena sarcastically wishes Orton luck tonight, to which Orton replies 'I don't need luck' before walking off.

The cameras cut back to Michael Cole and Mick Foley, who discuss the feud between Batista and Shawn Michaels, how it all started before a video package begins showing HBK beating Ric Flair at Wrestlemania, highlighting their match at Backlash and the ongoing feigning of the leg injury by Michaels. After a few more shots of Batista and HBK brawling, the video finishes.

quote Stretcher Match
Batista .v. Shawn Michaels

Batista is first to enter and make his way down to the ring, surveying all the stretchers on the way down. ‘Oh, Oh, Shawn’ is then heard throughout the arena as HBK makes his way down, but Batista runs outside the ring and a brawl quickly develops. The action spills into the crowd after a hard clothesline from Batista which took both men over. Batista gains the advantage after throwing HBK into a concrete wall and hitting a running shoulder block against it. Batista takes Shawn back to the barricade, throws him over but as he has one leg over, Shawn hits a Sweet Chin Music! From out of nowhere! Batista falls back into the crowd and Shawn uses this time to recuperate and get the strain off his back.

He walks over to a stretcher and pushes it over to the barricade before climbing onto it. He waits for Batista to rise before diving over the barricade with a flying forearm. He banged his right foot on the barricade as he fell, and it looks to be hurting him badly. Michael grabs his ankle immediately and starts holding it as if he has seriously injured it. The referee climbs over the barricade to check on Shawn and does the ‘X’ sign towards the stage. Medics rush to the scene through the crowd and place HBK on the stretcher and begin to wheel him up towards the stage. Michaels works his way off the stretcher and points towards the yellow line at the top of the ramp, signalling that he can’t be wheeled over. He limps back down to Batista and is met with a huge clothesline. Batista picks HBK up on his shoulder and throws him over the barricade, but this time he lands on top of the stretcher. HBK is hurting badly, but Batista doesn’t care.

He throws him into the ring and quickly follows, ensuring HBK won’t catch him with another super kick again. He takes him to the corner and begins to, as Stone Cold would say, stomp a mudhole in him and walks it dry. He positions his head in between two of the ropes, bounces off the opposite ropes and hits a running boot. He continues to beat the living hell out of Michaels until he can throw him to the outside and onto a stretcher. He begins to wheel it up but Michaels kicks his chest a few times, which forces him to fall back. HBK sits up but Batista runs and hits another powerful clothesline, forcing him to fall off the stretcher and roll over the line, but the match continues.

Batista grabs the stretcher and rams it into Shawn’s face, sending him down once again. Batista is ruthless in this match! He goes to ram it into him again but Michael’s dodges and Batista almost runs the stretcher over the line. HBK stands back up and goes for a Sweet Chin Music, but Batista grabs his leg, pulls him in and hits a Spinebuster onto the ramp! Good God! Batista falls back onto the stretcher and sits there for a few moments before walking back. As he gets to HBK, Shawn springs up onto his feet and, from out of nowhere, SWEET CHIN MUSIC. Batista falls back onto the stretcher again, and HBK musters enough strength to push it over the line to secure victory.

HBK falls back to the ground as his music hits. Batista gets up, apparently unaware he had just lost the match. Michaels gets to his feet but Batista hits a spear! A huge rib smashing Spear by Batista to Michaels. He walks to the back as the referee checks on the Showstopper.
A video package of the Edge/Undertaker feud is shown, starting from Wrestlemania. It shows Edge's non stop road to attempting to regain the title, and Vickie Guerrero vacating the title, and finally the road each man has had up to here. It also reminds us of Edge's TLC history, and how out of the 5 he has been in, he has won 4.

quote TLC Match - World Heavyweight Championship
Edge .v. The Undertaker

Edge, alone (to everyone’s surprise), is out first and waits in the ring for his opponent. After a brief silence the famous GONG is heard around the world, the arena goes pitch black before turning into a dark purple and the crowd go absolutely mental! Taker appears on top of the ramp with walls of fire either side of him and begins to slowly walk his way down to the ring to meet his opponent, The Rated R Superstar. Finally he reaches the ring and removes his hat and coat before Mickie Henson calls for the bell.

Immediately the Undertaker goes in for the kill but Edge uses his speed advantage to dodge him at all costs until he gets himself trapped into a corner where the pain begins. Taker delivers lefts and rights all over the body of Edge and finishes up with a clothesline, an Old School and finishes up with a big boot which takes the Ultimate Opportunist down and forces him to roll out of the ring. Taker quickly follows but instead he grabs a chair from underneath the ring and hits Edge on the back, side and then his back again as Edge writhes in pain on the floor. Taker sets up two tables on the outside one on top of the other, but as he goes back on the attack on Edge, Edge gives him a taste of his own medicine by walloping him with the steel chair he’d been hit with. Edge clambers into the ring with a ladder, sets it up and begins to climb. Foolishly he left Taker on the outside with a chair, which Taker uses upon re-entrance to the ring and hits Edge on the back, and drags him down by his tights. Taker then tries the climb but Edge pulls him down and hits him square in the face with the chair. Edge forces Taker back against the ropes before whipping him across the ring and hitting a powerslam as he returns. Edge immediately mounts Undertaker and starts to pummel him with punches, forearms and the like. Edge drags Undertaker back to his feet and throws him into the corner before charging at him, but Taker dodges and hits him with a big boot. Taker lifts Edge onto his shoulder and hits a snake eyes into the corner, runs over to the chair, bounces off the ropes and hits a chair shot using the momentum of his run to gain more power and give off more pain.

He helps Edge to his feet before hitting him with the chair once again, this time busting him open. He readjusts the ladder under the belt and begins to climb. Edge recuperates and crawls round to the other side, while Taker is near the top. Edge uses all the strength he can muster to tip the ladder up backwards, sending Taker falling through the two tables on the outside! The crowd can’t believe it, and neither can Edge. He falls to the floor, obviously still hurting from the multiple chair shots he had received. After a minute, Edge begins to climb the ladder on the opposite side Taker did, but Taker is getting up on the outside. Taker rolls out of the wreckage and rolls into the ring. Edge is almost touching the belt, but this time Taker tips the ladder, sending Edge falling over the top rope and through a table with chairs placed on top, already set up pre-match. Rather than going for the belt, Taker goes to the outside and begins to lift Edge up, but Edge has enough power and determination to hit Taker on the head with a chair, which busts the Deadman open. Edge picks Taker up and goes for another chair shot, but Taker grabs the chair an inch away from his face and manages to reverse the pressure, pushing Edge back into the barricade. Edge charges at Taker, but he is met with a boot to the chair which rebounds off his face. Taker rolls Edge into the ring and follows him in there. He lifts him up and onto his shoulders, before throwing him face first into the ladder.

He goes to the outside and throws two more tables into the ring, placing one standing diagonally against a turnbuckle and another stood properly a few feet away from the ladder. He lifts Edge up and grabs him by the throat! He lifts him up and… NO! Edge rakes his eyes on the way up, causing Taker to drop him. Edge bounces off the ropes and hits a huge Spear! Both men are down now! Edge is reeling. He grabs the bottom two rungs of the ladder and begins to climb. Half way up and Taker sits up! Taker sits up! The Deadman gets to his feet and begins climbing the other side of the ladder. Both men brawl on top of the ladder but Taker gets the advantage and manages to get Edge at the throat! This time he hits the Chokeslam and Edge falls through a table. The crowd are going wild! Taker reaches up and has his fingertips on the belt but (surprise surprise) Hawkins and Ryder appear and tip the ladder over, sending Taker through the table positioned in the corner. The Edgeheads help their leader to his feet but Taker once again sits up. He stalks Hawkins and Ryder and hits them both on the back with a steel chair, before pummelling all three men. He lifts Edge up onto his shoulders, setting up for the Tombstone but Bam Neely quickly gets into the ring and hits a big boot to the temple of Taker, and is quickly followed by Chavo. With there now being a five on one advantage, Taker has no chance of victory… Or does he?

As Hawkins, Ryder, Neely and Chavo hold Taker up so Edge can hit a Spear, the lights go out! Nobody knows what’s going on and the lights have been off for a good 60 seconds now. Suddenly, they’re back on and all four cronies of La Familia are down with four hooded figures standing over each body, each with a steel crucifix. Edge is sat in the corner, watching as these four figures stand over his fallen army. The figures drop their crucifixes and pull their hoods off one by one. The first is Gangrel! The second is Stevie Richards! And the third and final person is Raven! All with a dark, gothic look to them. They all bow down to Undertaker, who looks as though he hasn’t a clue what’s going on. All three men rise and walk over to Edge and pummel him in the corner. After a Stevie Kick, an Impaler DDT and a Raven Effect onto a chair, they all face the ramp and signal for another person to come down.

‘OHHHH YEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!’

The crowd go absolutely mental as the legend that is Paul Bearer, holding the Urn, appears at the top of the ramp, followed by ten – twenty druids and… a casket! The druids bring the Casket down to the ring and place it at the edge of the ring. Raven, Richards and Gangrel roll Edge into it and signal for it to be taken back to the top of the ramp. Paul Bearer holds the urn high into the air as the three men drag the casket up the ramp with the many druids. Taker watches on, confused and mixed up before climbing the ladder and retrieving the belt, much to the fans appreciation.

Paul Bearer remains at the top of the ramp while Undertaker stays in the ring. The three men re-appear next to Paul Bearer as he raises the Urn. On the screen, the druids are seen walking around a giant pole, which happens to be a giant crucifix where Edge has been placed! The crowd goes nuts as Undertaker watches on. Paul Bearer is handed a microphone where he lets out one more 'OOOOOHHHHHHH YEEEEEESSSSS!' before they go backstage, to the music of the original Ministry of Darkness.

JR and King comment on how great the night has been so far but right now is the main event. Triple H .v. Randy Orton, Last Man Standing for the WWE Championship. The Game and The Legend Killer are shown on a split screen doing final preparations before cutting to a final video package of the feud.

quote Last Man Standing Match - WWE Championship
Triple H .v. Randy Orton

The two men stand in the middle of the ring, staring intently at each other as they prepare for this immensely violent encounter. The bell rings to signal the start of the match, but neither man budges, and they continue to stare at each other, small droplets of seat beginning to formulate on the brow of both men. Orton walks forwards slowly, getting right up into the face of Triple H, and begins talking trash right into his face. Triple H smirks, showing his clear lack of fear of Orton, before pushing him away, to Orton’s dismay. Orton looks straight back at Triple H, before raising his hand and slapping him as hard as he can. Sweat flies from the face of The Game, and drops onto the mat. Triple H lifts his hand up to touch his face, before launching himself at Orton, to the audience’s great enjoyment. He hits Orton with strong right hands over and over again, knocking him backwards until he is resting against the turnbuckle. The Game pushes himself up against Orton, before whipping him across the ring into the turnbuckle opposite, and following up with a clothesline as Orton recoils, taking him down to the mat with a thud!

Triple H walks around the ring, grunting and flexing his muscles, before walking over to the floored Orton and trying to lift him up to his feet. Once Orton is up, HHH tries to lock up with him, but Orton breaks free, before raking the eyes of Triple H, causing the crowd to boo wildly as The Game stumbles backwards. Orton pushes him up against the ropes, but H falls out between the middle ropes as a result of his blindness. Orton smirks at the audience, who continue giving him a lot of abuse, before he slides out of the ring himself. He stomps the still down Triple H several times, before aiming a harsh kick at his ribs, which connects with a smack heard throughout the entire arena. Triple H rolls several feet as a result of the impact, and Orton wastes no time in following up the assault. He walks towards Triple H, before lifting him up to his feet, and whipping him into the ring apron, causing The Game to wail in agony upon impact. Orton sees no reason to stop, and hits Triple H with a massive chop across the chest, causing a huge smack to echo throughout the arena. The audience wail in pain, feeling The Game’s agony throughout themselves.

Orton looks around him for tools to aid his assault on the champion, and settles on the steel stairs as his next port of call. He grabs Triple H by his hair, and drags him over to the steel steps. He attempts to slam the champs head down onto the step, but The Game gets his hand in the way! He pushes Orton off, before grabbing his head and slamming Orton’s head down onto the steps instead! Orton falls backwards, hitting the floor with a thud leaving Triple H looking down on him fiercely. HE stomps Orton a couple of times, before lifting him up and throwing him into the security barricade keeping the audience separated from the action. The people in the front row reach down, trying to get a touch of Orton to take home with them, however he slowly rolls away from them as he tries to regain his breath and composure. He looks up at Triple H as he is approached by him, and turns to crawl away, but the Game grabs him by his trunks and lifts him up to his feet. He turns Orton around, and grabs his throat, talking trash into his face before sending him back down to the ground with a painfully strong right hand. He slides back into the ring, flexing his muscles and showboating, before goading Orton to get back into the ring.

The referee begins to count, as per the rules of the match, but only reaches four by the time Orton has managed to pull himself back up to his feet. He looks into the ring, as Triple H stares back out at him with disgust, and decides he isn’t going in empty handed. He slides under the ring, and comes back out pulling a wooden table behind him. He looks up at Triple H as he sets the table up on the outside of the ring, moments before sliding back into the ring. Triple H runs over and attempts to attack before Orton gets to his feet, but he isn’t able to and Orton rolls over to the corner of the ring and pulls himself up. Triple H runs over again, but Orton ducks it and Triple H finds himself up against it in the corner, with Orton pounding him with strong left and right hands. Triple H eventually breaks free, and flips the situation around with Orton in the corner being pounded on. Triple H lifts Orton up onto the top turnbuckle, hitting him a couple of times to keep him up there, before following him up. He places his arm over Orton neck, and lifts him up, slamming him down to the mat with a vicious superplex! Triple H pulls himself up to his feet, looking around at the audience as they roar in appreciation. He walks over to the ropes, and looks out of the ring at the table that Orton set up previously. He lifts up Orton, and prepares for a Pedigree, which could well mean the end of the encounter, however Orton reverses, flipping Triple H over his back, but The Game is able to grasp onto the rope, and stop on the apron, Orton hasn’t even realises until Triple H grabs ahold of him, and suplexes him out of the ring, straight through the table, leaving both men sprawled out on the floor!

The referee begins his count, and miraculously Orton is the first man to begin stirring and start getting to his feet at 6, with Triple H following suit, with both men arriving at their feet around the 8 mark. They stagger towards each other, with each man using up what seems to be their only ounces of energy trading right handed shots to the face, before Orton takes the lead and slides back into the ring. Triple H soon follows suit, sliding in after him, and begins getting to his feet as Orton watches him. Triple H uses the rope to push himself off and move towards Orton, and tries a clothesline, but Orton ducks… RKO! Triple H is planted with Orton’s patented finishing manoeuvre! The referee begins his ten count slowly… but what’s this… Chris Jericho is running up the aisle with his Intercontinental championship belt in his hand!

He slides in the ring too many cheers from the audience, and walks up to Randy Orton, pressing his nose up against Orton’s rather uncomfortably. He and Orton begin talking trash at each other, and the audience cheer Jericho on, clearly hoping he attacks Orton. While all this commotion ahs been going on, Triple H has slowly pulled himself up to his feet bravely, and is standing uneasily beside the two men. Orton pushes Jericho away… And Jericho swings his title belt around and smashes Triple H in the skull with it! Boos echo around the arena as Triple H helplessly falls down to the ground as a result of the shot, clearly knocked utterly unconscious by the blow. Orton looks across at Jericho, and his glare turns into an arrogant smirk. Jericho looks back at Orton, and his face also turns into a smirk, and the boos and abuse come raining down onto the due, as they embrace, before holding their arms up in the air together! The referee has no choice but to make the ten count, and crowd Randy Orton as the NEW WWE Champion!

As the belt is handed to Orton by the reluctant referee, he looks around at the booing audience, before looking down at the bloody face of his fallen opponent. He then looks at his new found friend, Chris Jericho and they grabs each other hand, and raise them up high in the air, each holding onto a title belt. If this is the how Raw looks in the future, then I’m not sure it’s going to go down well with the fans. Confetti falls down from the ceiling as the two men celebrate together, and the Pay Per View goes off of the air.

Even though Jaffers spoiled the results for me, it's a good read(so far). I'm up to Batista/Shawn and I'm gonna head out for a bit, but I just wanted to leave a comment and tell you guys I've really enjoyed reading it. It'd be cool if this diary hung on in the forum for a bit, as it is being ran very well.

Tbh Mosh, I think he just pays extra special attention when I'm complaining about people and so knows who I do and don't like really well.

Yeah, I was originally gonna have Bearer in the ring, then decided to have him come down the ramp and must've forgot to change it.

Yeah, I don't think the layout looks as good as it could. I was in a bit of a rush to get the show up also.

Pretty damn good if you ask me. Although slightly disappointing as people who are looking aren't giving us feedback.
