Vince McMahon: Now that everyone's here, I have an announcement to make. Over the past few years, Brian Gewirtz has been running the show when it comes to Raw. Obviously every decision he makes has had to go through me, but you get the point. But, as of a few hours ago... Brian Gewirtz has been fired as lead writer of Monday Night Raw.

Stephanie McMahon: Whoa, whoa, Dad... Why didn't you ask me or Shane about this?

Shane McMahon: Brian was a close friend of mine, and he really helped this show, Dad! Come on, just re-thi...

Vince McMahon: Shane, Stephanie... Stop. Stephanie, you're going to be around Smackdown! more anyways, now that Paul is over there. And Shane... You're going to play a big role here. As a matter of fact, you're lead writer, and the new General Manager of Monday Night Raw!

Shane McMahon: Wow... Brian leaving isn't so bad now.

Dave Kapoor: What about me, Vince? I still have a job... Right?

Arn Anderson: And me too. I know bringing in CW didn't work on ECW, but I've got these kids' respect...

Vince McMahon: Don't worry, no one is leaving besides Brian. He simply had too many disputes with people on the roster, and his writing was... Well... Dare I say it, too much surrounding me. It's time this company save itself, and we're doing it with our flagship show. Any objections?

Shane McMahon: None by me. I just want to be the first to say thank you, Dad... And if you want an honest opinion, I think Raw has the potential to become the number one show again. Paul and Adam may be over on Smackdown, as well as Mark and Matt, but we've got star power. And aside from that, we've got guys whom we can build up into something great.

Arn Anderson: I'm all ears on how to do that, because I'll be honest... I'm kind of glad Brian is gone. I've gone along with his crap for much too long, and it's about time someone realizes that breeding these young guys is the only way that this company will save itself. Paul won't be at his best in ten years, and then what? What if John is the next Dwayne and leaves us for Hollywood?

Shane McMahon: That's why tonight on Raw... We're having a second chance Battle Royal! Ten Superstars from the past will be competing to get their contract back, and likely a big push. The winner of that will be teamed with the winner of the Opportunity of a Lifetime Battle Royal where five of the FCW guys are in a Battle Royal. That team will go on to face DiBiase and Rhodes at the PPV. How do you guys like that?

Vince McMahon: Not too bad, son... Now lets get this show on the road.
