Ted Turner wants to change that. His promotion, National Wrestling Alliance or NWA, have on of the most promising rosters in Pro Wrestling. Ted Turner wants to ensure his company topple the WWF off top spot and he will use his millions to achieve this goal. September Week 1  NWA WORLDWIDE Live! from the Civic Center in Beaumont, Texas With Clash Of The Champions right around the corner the NWA will have to pull out all the stops to compete with the WWF. Clash Of The Champions is somewhat like WWF's Saturday Night Main Event, where they put on a supercard made up of great matches. NWA World Heavyweight Champion will be teaming up with NWA Television Champion Sting to take on the NWA Tag Team Champions, The Fabulous Freebirds, in a huge Champions versus Champions match.
