A good layout is organized, most of all. Size one font helps out a lot, because it gives it a more "professional" look. Try using different colors that are easy on the eyes, so no aqua or yellow colors. Also, I'm sure that you could find someone who would be willing to help you out with graphics.

re: 'What Diary Should I Do?' Thread

I want to do a new diary but I can't figure out what to do. I was wanting to do an old one like WCW or ECW in 1998 or 1999 but I can't make my mind up. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

re: 'What Diary Should I Do?' Thread

You can always do an Alternate Reality diary. Find a big thing that happened in one of those promotions but change it around. i.e. Raven never leaving ECW or Hogan never leaving the WWF (At the time) etc.

I've been wanting to do a diary for a while now, yet I still can't find the right one to do. I want to do something original, but I can't think of a good original idea. IF anyone has any ideas, other than 1990's wrestling has I didn't watch it then, then I'd appreciate it very much.

Hey guys,

The diary I have now isn't going so hot, so I thought that it would be better to rewrite the inVasion storyline, and do my own version. Does that sound good, or should I do something else?

Just wanted to throw this out there, but what about a family diary. As in the McMahons or the Harts?

re: 'What Diary Should I Do?' Thread

I grew bored of my WCW diary. I find it less entertaining to start a diary off of a brand new game... but, blah. That might just be me. However, I've got a TNA game that I've been playing. Would anyone be interested in seeing it happen? I started in September 2006 (game time) and it's currently January 2007. Here's some backstory:

We've gone global (started at national, 35%). We've got three television shows, two of which are on primetime slots (iNTENSITY! - Mondays, iMPACT! - Thursdays) and another show which is my "Velocity" show, so-to-speak. The show name is XPlosion, and it's on a late night slot on Saturdays.

Colt Cabana has recieved, and is still getting, a huge push. He is feuding with Raven over the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Raven is at 95 OVR, and Cabana is at 94 OVR. Cabana is heel, Raven is face.

Samoa Joe has just begun to recieve a huge push, hence why he is currently feuding with Chris Jericho. Jerricho is at 100 OVR, Joe is at 81 OVR. Joe is a tweener, and Jericho is a face, and Joe is about ready to get a heel turn.

Sting and Randy Savage currently hold the longest feud, which started back in September. Savage is at 100 OVR, Sting is at 99 OVR. Since the feud begun, Savage has decided to become a non-wrestler as of November.

AJ Styles and Christian Cage have just begun to feud. Both are equal at 86 OVR.

Team 3D and Aries and Strong are feuding. I'm currently trying to give Aries and Strong a huge push. Aries is at 73 OVR, and Strong is at 70 OVR.

I'm going to start pushing Shelley soon, much like I did to Cabana. Bryan Danielson and Chris Hero will be getting a huge push as well once they return from injury.

Here's what the title history looks like:

TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Jeff Jarrett (start - Oct. 22nd, 2006)
Raven (Oct. 22nd, 2006 - present)

TNA Universal Championship
Christian Cage (Nov. 13th, 2006 - Dec. 18th, 2006)
AJ Styles (Dec. 18th, 2006 - present)

TNA United States Championship
Jeff Hardy (Nov. 13th, 2006 - Dec. 30th, 2006)
Chris Harris (Dec. 30th, 2006 - present)

TNA X-Division Championship
Low Ki (start - Oct. 22nd, 2006)
Colt Cabana (Oct. 22nd, 2006 - present)

TNA Tag Team Championships
Styles and Daniels (start - Sept. 24th, 2006)
Aries and Strong (Sept. 24th - Oct. 22nd, 2006)
Styles and Daniels (Oct. 22nd, 2006 - Nov. 12th, 2006)
Aries and Strong (Nov. 12th, 2006 - Dec. 18th, 2006)
Team 3D (Dec. 18th - present)

re: 'What Diary Should I Do?' Thread

I might do a Present TNA Diary with maybe a few realistic additions like Jeff Hardy, Sabu. I'm not sure though, it would be a short show diary but well done, what do you guys think?

re: 'What Diary Should I Do?' Thread

I'd like to start my own diary someday but I don't know what scenario to chose, I don't like to continue WWE's current scenario since Crippler's already doing that.. so any suggestions?

Well what promotion are you most familiar with? If it's WWE and there's an era in it's history you're a big fan of, like say the attitude era, then you could go for that but with a difference.

If you think you'd enjoy a current WWE scenario the most then don't be put off; you could easily differentiate from crippler's in terms of roster hirings and firings, as well as storylines and booking style.

Above all, make sure to pick something you think you'll enjoy.

Well I've started watching WWE during the Evolution eras, although I already watched attitude before but not as much, I just started watching TNA, I'll take your advice I'll go with the present I'll just try not to immitate Crippler's storylines.

re: 'What Diary Should I Do?' Thread

I agree with Shape here. It would be incredibly easy to make a current WWE diary without having it like mine. The biggest ways to differentiate that I can think of is to raid TNA for talent, don't fire half your roster and leave the brand split intact. Just those three things would make your diary much, much different than mine.

I really look forward to whatever diary you do, Filter, and you're going to have at least one insured reader.

On an entirely different topic, I'm considering making another WWE "diary" except it wouldn't really be a diary but more of an experiment. See, I've often wondered how the WWE would actually do if they're shows were run through EWR.

How the "diary" would work is I would simulate each edition of RAW, ECW, and Smackdown as close as possible to the actual shows each week. I'd then run through the results in Crowd Reaction, Match Quality, etc. The experiment wouldn't take up to much time from my diary considering I'd post incredibly quick results and I wouldn't have to plan out storylines.

So, would anyone be interested in this experiment? If I do end up making it, I'm going to have to start the whole thing off on exactly New Year's Day, just so my dates correspond with the WWE's.
