It's amazing that your diary became so good from the first time I read it. Keep it up, and are you by any chance working for WWF's creative control? Because your storylines are wicked!

Edit - Spell Check.

Scheduled Matches

Singles Match

Bryan Danielson vs. Tajiri

Tag Team Match

The Hooliganz vs. The Kings of Wrestling - I don't see them winning cleanly though. Or maybe Hooliganz will win, but JBL will accuse them of cheating.

Singles Match

Paul Burchill vs. Val Venis - Sounds like a squash match to me.

Singles Match

Chris Benoit vs. Finlay

Singles Match

Rob Van Dam vs. Shawn Michaels - Probably due to Triple H inteference. Or HBK will win and brawl with HHH afterwards.

Tag Team Match
Rated R-KO vs. John Cena and The Undertaker - This match interests me most, a four way at NWO would be cool.

I should think that most certainly proves he isn't working for WWE.

Wow, thanks for the awesome compliment, filter. I'm very glad to see that yet another person is enjoying this diary.

Just to let everyone know, Smackdown will be posted on Monday. Also, and more importantly, the Prediction Contest will only be having this one season. I think I'd prefer to hire wrestlers on my own basis. It's not that I think I'll get stuck with crap wrestlers, it's the fact that I've already roughly planned all the Pay-Per-View up until the Royal Rumble 2007 (planning on reaching Wrestlemania 24 by the end of the week) and I'm going to want to try and follow that plan as closely as possible. If I'm constantly having an inflow of talent that I don't have control of... well, I think you all can see the problem.

Smackdown (2/9/2007)

1. I Have Morals

Smackdown opens with Shawn Michaels standing in the ring. He explains that Triple H is deserving of everything that he is going through, every attack and every insult. He continues to talk about Triple H, coming off as cocky and arrogant by saying that he will defeat Hunter because he actually has morals, unlike his opponent RVD who is nothing more than a pot smoker. HBK continues to talk about RVD and HH when Triple H runs down the ring ramp. He enters the ring and the two brawl until seperated by security. JBL appears at the top of the ramp and says that he doesn't want Triple H to ruin one of the matches that all the fans paid for. The General Manager orders security to escort Triple H from the building. Michaels smirks while Triple H rants, raves, and yells at both him and JBL.

2. Bryan Danielson vs. Tajiri

Before this match began, CM Punk made his way to the commentary booth. Also of note, Matt Hardy accompanied Bryan Danielson to the ring. A good fast-paced match with lots of stiff kicks by Tajiri and submission holds by Danielson while Hardy kept his eye on Punk so he couldn't interfere. Despite Tajiri putting up a good fight, the Cruiserweight champion once again shows why he has the title as he defeats Tajiri via the Cattle Mutilation.
Winner: Bryan Danielson

3. Proving Themselves

Brian Kendrick and Paul London are shown backstage with Todd Grisham. The interviewer asks them how they feel going into a non-title match with The Kings of Wrestling. The Hooliganz begin by saying that JBL is an ass for not giving them the match they deserve. They say that they understand that a title match between themselves and KoW would be a pay-per-view seller but they wanted the titles tonight. However, The Hooliganz finish by saying that they will prove why they're the number one contenders tonight and at No Way Out they will take back their titles.

4. Paul Burchill vs. Val Venis

Paul Burchill continues his path of dominance in an absolute squash of a match. Burchill hit the C-4 on Venis once but didn't go for the pin, instead he hit the C-4 again before debuting the Curb Stomp by laying Venis out, pulling his arms back and then smashing his head into the mat. The crowd was so shocked at the sheer brutality of the move that they didn't even bother to boo when Burchill got the three count.
Winner: Paul Burchill

5. Mutual Respect

John Cena is in his locker room when The Undertaker walks in. The two talk a bit about their mutual respect before turning the tables on Edge and Randy Orton. Taker and Cena say that while Rated R-KO may have been able to defeated Degeneration-X, they will not defeat the Champ and the challenger. They continue to rag on Orton and Cena before the promo ends.

6. Chris Benoit vs. Finlay

An amazing match, rivalling their match at Judgement Day. Lots of ring psychology, brutal brawling, and false finishes. Both men came off incredibly strong in this match. The end of the match came when Finlay attempted to hit Benoit with the shellaglah only to have his arm grabbed mid-swing and be locked in the Crossface. A short time later, Finlay's hand pounded the mat and Benoit picked up the win.
Winner: Chris Benoit

7. Recruitment Drive

CM Punk is shown talking to someone backstage but we can't see who it is. Punk talks about how the person is an amazing wrestler and how he knows that he wants to show his skills against people like Matt Hardy and Bryan Danielson. Punk continues to attempt and recruit the unseen man for his tag match on Sunday Night Heat. The man obviously agrees to join Punk because the straight-edge wrestler walks away with a smile on his face.

8. The Hooliganz vs. The Kings of Wrestling

Another great match between these two teams, they were given a long fifteen minutes to show off their stuff. The end of the match came when London had Hero layed out on the mat and went for the 450 Splash. However, Castagnoli quickly ran over and shoved London off the turnbuckle. This brought both the referee and Brian Kendrick over and the three argued. With the ref distracted, Chris Hero quickly pulled a set of brass knuckles out from his wrestling attire and hit London with them before executing the Hero's Welcome. Hero then grabbed the ref and told him to count while Castagnoli and Kendrick begin to fight on the ring apron. Hero is able to pick up the win and immediately runs over and clotheslines Kendrick off the side of the ring. The Kings of Wrestling then beat down the number one contenders until they are ran off by security.
Winners: The Kings of Wrestling

9. An Open Challenge

Chris Benoit is standing in his locker room where a clock's hands currently point to 3:00. He begins to talk about his win over Finlay and claiming that he has once again proven that no one currently under WWE contract can defeat him in a wrestling match. That's why he will be putting out an open challenge this Monday night to anyone in the world to face him whether they be male or female, cruiserweight or heavyweight, wrestler or otherwise.

10. Rob Van Dam vs. Shawn Michaels

A very good match with the fans quickly rallying behind RVD even though he hasn't been on television in awhile. However, Michaels' constant assault wore down the high-flyer very quickly. A Sweet Chin Music is all it takes for the Heart Break Kid to pick up the victory. Shawn Michaels begins to celebrate when he is spun around from behind, gets kicked in the gut, and is hit with the Pedigree. Triple H simply smiles as the fans cheer. Security rushes to the ring but Triple H leaves before they get there and heads out of the arena through the crowd, the damage already done.
Winner: Shawn Michaels

11. Rated R-KO vs. John Cena and The Undertaker

This match easily got the largest reaction of the night with Cena and Taker getting the biggest pop and Rated R-KO getting a ton of heat. A good, charisma-filled match with the faces playing to the crowd and the heels constantly trying to cheat. The end of the match came when Cena had Edge set up for the FU while Undertaker had Edge ready for the Last Ride. As the fans popped at the possibility of a double finisher ending, both members of Rated R-KO were just able to escape from the faces' finishers via blows to the head. Cena and Taker tried to grab them again but Edge and Orton bailed out of the ring. The referee began to count and the faces motioned for Rated R-KO to get back in the ring but it was only a matter of time before the ten count was completed. Cena and Taker don't look happy at how they got this win when JBL appears on the titantron. He says that Edge and Orton's attempt to end a match that the fans would pay to see doesn't make him happy and that's why, this Monday on RAW, it will be Rated R-KO against John Cena and The Undertaker in a No Holds Barred match. Edge and Orton look stunned at this development but Cena and Taker just grin as Smackdown ends.
Winners: John Cena and The Undertaker

Quick Results

2. Paul Burchill defeats Val Venis
3. Chris Benoit defeats Finlay
4. The Kings of Wrestling defeat The Hooliganz
5. Shawn Michaels defeats Rob Van Dam

That's gonna be one good Raw main event!

Seems like Burchill's gonna be pushed to the moon, and I won't complain - and the Curb Stomp is awesome for building up his viscious, British character.

I knew Benoit vs. Finlay would go down well, and am very interested about his open challenge. I think it's going to be Burchill who answers it.

The tag title feud is interesting as well, typical face vs. heel stuff but it works, hopefully someone or something comes in to even the odds. JBL's character does confuse me with it's tweener-ness - the way he is harsh on L&K, but forces Edge and Orton to compete. Oh well, it keeps me guessing, which is a good thing!

Glad the fans haven't forgotten RVD, I'd like to see more of him. The Trips/HBK feud is the one I'm least interested in at the moment, I hope that if it's to go on to Mania, someone shows up at NWO to spice things up!

I'm interested in seeing who Punk's partner is, I think it may be Cabana, but you don't seem to be signing people. With Shape's idea, Burchill accepting Benoit's challenge would definitly be an interesting prospect, and they could have a great feud.

Loved the show.

Benoit's open challenge is interesting as the two said before me, but I'm more interested in this feud between Triple H and Michaels you're stirring this one right hope you do great with it.

RAW would be certainly great considering the matches just booked. Overall, its a grade A show, crippler!

A New Star Emerges
February 11th, 2007

Mysterio Returns
Rey Mysterio has not been seen since The Royal Rumble when he took a beating from his former friend, Chris Benoit. This Sunday night, Mysterio returns to WWE television as he takes on a currently unknown wrestler. WWE General Manager, John Bradshaw Layfield, has been heard talking about how this new wrestler is going to bring in a large numbers of viewers from a currently untapped market. Who is this mysterious wrestler and will Rey be able to defeat him? Find out this Sunday.

Honor vs. Honorless
Ever since he ran CM Punk off last week on Heat, Matt Hardy has been forced into the battle between CM Punk and Bryan Danielson. This Sunday on Heat, the pair of Hardy and Danielson will go up against CM Punk and a partner of his choosing. JBL has apparently told Punk that this man can be anyone, from anywhere. Will Matt Hardy and The American Dragon pick up the win or will CM Punk and his unknown partner be the victorious pair?

I'll guess that Mysterio's against Delirious and Punk's with Cabana.
