I got TLAD for a friend recently and when we attempted to play it yesterday, it simply didn't exist. I had downloaded it off XBL a few days back for him on his hard drive but when we tried to play it, there was no option anywhere. What's going on?

There should be an option for it if you go to start a new game

I know that, I tried it, but no matter how I try to get to TLAD, the GTA IV disc seems to act like it doesn't exist, it doesn't give any option anywhere to play TLAD. It's on my friends hard drive,but GTA IV doesn't give the option to swap games anywhere.

If you go into your games library can you launch it from there?

No, it only shows GTA IV. The only sign that we know it's on his HDD is that we checked the memory in options.

I can't. The internet got throttled. We know that it is on the HDD, but accessing it is the problem. I think we can only use it with the internet connected.

It may very well be that. It sounds stupid, but you can't play downloaded songs on Guitar Hero unless you're connected to Live. Stupid stuff man

I've been having the same problem. Even with the internet connected there is no option to play it. When I play GTA it just goes straight to IV not TLaD

I guess it's if the 360 feels like it. I was at another friends house and that seemed like the case, as croftppl said, even if the 360 is connected, it still doesn't work. Lter looking at his profile, he could finally play the game. I think I'll search the net to see if there is any solution to this problem.

Did you download it using his profile on his XBOX360. Because if you originally bought the download through your 360 with your profile, then "redownload" it to his 360 with your profile, then Microsoft's stupid DRM may block the download from working on any other profile but yours on his 360, and completely block it if you are playing offline.

Yes, it was downloaded on his profile. He bought his own HDD over and I downloaded it onto the HDD.

OK and whose 360 console did you download it from and whose did are you trying to play it from? That's what also matters. If he downloaded it using your console and he tries to play it on his, then the DRM could kick in in that event too.

If the download can't be launched on even from the same profile and 360 it was downloaded from, then there's a problem. You'll either have to try to redownload or call Microsoft to straighten things out for you. but if you are trying to launch the game using a different 360 console, it may not work. Especially if connected offline on that 360

Yeah, his HDD was connected to my console. I think that may be the problem.
