I have my doubts on this game.....It's not really focus on racing, it's just like another prostreet game with extra bits inside. Even Grid is better. What do you think?

How do you know Grid is better if you haven't played this? It's not another Prostreet, it's much more realistic. Prostreet was still really arcadey.
I think this could be very good, but it's not typical NFS. It's not so much a case of getting back on top, because they're completely changing the face of the series.

Yea, after watching a couple of trailers it looks like nfs : shift could be good. I'm convinced

I think this game will be back on top. The sim style is the first time NFS is heading this direction so there is some antcipation when the game drops sometime next month. From the clips and pics that are circulating, it looks like a really authentic racing game. Shift is ready to step into the ring with the top authentic racing games that are out there.

Well it's hard to say, being a first time sim game and everything. I've heard it's being developed by racing enthusiasts and experts and all that, so hopefully it will be able to compete with the best.
From the screenshots it certainly looks as good as any other racing game, if not better. Sadly, I've not seen any damage in any of the screenshots so far. If it doesn't have damage it can probably kiss those hopes goodbye.

Very well said, I concur. To respond to the damages in the car during a crash: The game does have damage, in fact, when the car gets into a crash there's are a lot of visual and audio effects that will leave the player disorientated and briefly disrupted from the race.

Err. LA isn't a simulator, at all, by any stretch. Also, the fluctuating difficulty does get annoying. And it's got, what, a 10th of the cars that GT has?

Answer to the original question...NO!

Its too arcadey. I've had to put stability control, ABS and other driving aids because the car physics are crap. Also, throttle is either 100% or 0% which is absolute bullshit!

However, EA are heading in the right direction with this game, hopefully the next one they can improve it and not go back to street racing...
