Has anyone figured out a good method for aiming bombs? I almost always miss.

try launching them a bit early

As long as you're not going to collide with a mountain or radio tower, try to always look behind you after the bomb drops. You can see where it lands, and adjust either your height or distance you release at.

With some practice it gets easier to judge it, though they're still pretty hard to guarantee a kill with.

Just don't deploy them while flying upside down, that never ends well

Dive bomb when you can (always check your six though - chances are if you spent time trying to gain altitude for a safe drop, somebody has spotted you). Otherwise, bomb at a / 45 degree angle or so. Causes you to stay more or less level with the falling bombs just long enough to anticipate the impact point. With practice you can envision the drop spot while flying level. The third person view can help with this, but be warned that the homing radar (picks up enemy craft at the corner of the screen) doesn't work as well in 3rd person.

The bombs travel as fast as you are when you release them. You can try to slow down to make it easier. Mostly it just takes practice. I just recently been able to start taking out the occastional tank or soldier with bombs.
