Techiniqually, the Reapers didn't make the Keepers. The info given in ME1 is that they were an ancient race that was conquered and assimilated by the Reapers and used to keep the Conduit operation when the time arrived. They may simply be manipulated the Collectors in the same way Sovreign did to Saren and the Geth.

Yeah, and they did what looks like an excellent job of making the collectors creepily insectile as hell. Not looking forward to meeting them really

Not really. Collectors abduct and trade for people. Xenomorphs pretty much rape people. The aren't similar in appearance either.





Their leader does look slighly like a Xenomorch queen though.

You didn't have to take that seriously...

Or what could be a big twist but probably not gonna happen is maybe just maybe the insect guys are trying to preserve some of the existing races from being wiped out by the reapers but their making them into husks so probably not. and maybe their a race as ancient as the reapers that the reapers couldn't wipe out yet.

This is kind of a segue, but I think the keepers and rachni look pretty friggin similar.

^^ Yeah, but that's probably just a coincidence because they are both insect... things. I think the Collectors have been around for a while, and the Rachni would have had to evolve pretty quickly for there to be much connection beyond that.
