At the end after you input the PAL codes gas comes into the room. I call otacon and he says he will open the door. 5 seconds later he calls and and says he's opening the door. The gas turns off and the camera looks at the door but it won't open! It's opened on a previous game but not this time! Please Help!

Well when i was in there i just shot the cameras with the stinger...maybe thats the prob. Otherwise im not sure...its never happen to me but i'll keep thinking bout it and if i figure it out all tell ya

Right after I input the code, before I moved, I threw a chaff grenade. That seemed to knock the camera out of action and I was able to leave without the gas and the doors locking. See if that doesn't help. I usually threw a chaff before I entered the room to enter the PAL card. And I threw one before I moved to leave. See if that doesn't help.

I'll set up a test save sometime later. I think you'll have to throw a Chaff to get out.

I had the same problem, and it just doesn't open; but Otacon and Cambell only tell me that I should hurry up... that doesn't help me a lot. I didn't have this problem the first time I finished the game. But i wanted to finish it with the meryl-ending but I can't because the door doesn't open. Maybe I can use the cheat mode... I don't know, but it seems like its a programming error... normaly it does open, but only the gas fads away, but the door keeps beeing closed...

fixed it, right click the shortcut or real thing, go to compatibility and run on 98/me

Ok well my friend had the exact same problem and all he did to solve it was change to screen resolution to as small as it could be

Why won't it Open!

Ok nvm. Oddly enough the first time i got the door open was calling Otakon repeatedly and kept firing my famas without moving my position. After messing around all you have to do is just stand still.

it's happening to me too.. i just downloaded the game.. i miss this.. ahehe.. my ps1 is already R.I.P. so i wanted to play this again in PC.. and here i am stuck because old otacon says "SNAKE! I'm Opening the Door!!" and looks like he was lying.. how d f am i gonna get pass here!! help pleeeeeaaaaaasssseeeeeeee!!!!
