Well when this occurs the scene shows Snake and i got no control only in the keyboard i can change my weapon with the numbers 1-10 and no more happend, somebody can help me?

In that case, try seeing what else you can do with the keyboard. In that scene Mantis can "read your thoughts" if you use the joypad, but that's not till later and I didn't want to spoil it for you.

You should be able to stun her with the grenade, and then she will try again, and again, but eventually you just start to fight him.

Try punching her until she falls down...

No, INF you ideot.You CANNOT punch her.You'll kill her.Dont crack her neck either.Just keep running and avoiding her untill mantis gives up and lets her go.Good places to hid are behind the statues and the desk.NOT at the front of the room.She will DEFINATLY kill you there.Just let y

Oh yea I forgot to mention.If you have, use some blinding grendades.You know, the ones that make the big flash.And you could punch her but it is VERY risky.Also chaff grenades work to break the mind controle.However only, about 10% of the time.More chance of it happing on PC rather then PSX or PS1 however

I have the same problem as ManJava. It does not seem to matter how I play the level. Mantis always reaches a point where he takes control of Meryl and is about to get her to shoot herself, then it switches to a second person view of Snake and the only thing I can do is switch weapons using the number keys - no other keyboard keys will respond (except Windows escape sequences - eg. ALT_TAB). I am on Win2000 BTW.

I get the same problem. It completly freezes up. I couldn't punch the chick if I wanted too. Im playing with the keyboard only and Im stuck on the view of snake. Sux, please send me an email if anyone knows how to unfreeze this thing!!!films9@hotmail.com

i finish the game heapz bout 2 yearz ago but not on PC...but all u hav 2 do is either stun her wit gren or jus beat the $h!7 out of her until she falls she not gonna die.. i beat her 4 fun all the tym and run away she chases u it funny u jus run and hide under the table or jus run round... and if u keep lookin at her in zoom she will get hot..

when u finish depends if u save her or not u get 2 different thinz a bandanna or stealth both mad...but try usin ur joystick if u got 1 because mantis can only read 1 side of ur brain...and if u do so when u fight him...he cant dodge ur punches or bullets...enjoy...lol u PC guyz sound screwed 2 me lol^_^....jus play it on PS or go look 4 the walkthrough on da net 4 PC....sure u will pass tat part 1day..

Solid Snake get stucked because the game is a cheat...

I get another MGS Game, from other store and it works very well, with more cinematics and stuff.

I recommend you get another CDs to try the game. I am sure that will work.

If you really don't have the guts to stun here, then let her kill you.
