Your Greatest Tournaments |
|
Thought I'd try to reignite this forum by telling you about some of my greatest tournaments in the game! And you can do the same!
My first great tournament was the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. Day 1: Went 4 over par, with leader Harrington on 1 under. Day 2: Went 5 under to put myself in a good position, leader now Singh on -4. Day 2 leaderboard: Singh -4 Woods -3 Garcia -3 Harrington -2 _____________ T67 Me -1 CUT: -1 Day 3: After just making the cut; I made a bogey free round, and got 11 birdies and 2 eagles! Putting me -16, Singh on -8, Woods -7, and the rest of the field about 4 shots back on -3. Day 4: Being 8 shots ahead I didn't try that much to go further ahead, by the 5th hole I was even par. With Woods dropping 2, and Singh staying equal with me. ~By the 10th hole I had dropped to -13, and Singh had got to -11, with Woods and the rest of the field out of it at -2 on the 13th. ~On the 16th I birdied, leaving me at -14, while Singh eagled the hole now at -13. ~We both PAR'd the 17th. Meaning I just had to equal Singh to win on the last hole! ~Hole 18 - Singh birdied, and after a terrible first shot I bogied. Singh won by 1 shot on -14, and me on -13. Final Scoreboard: 1. Singh -14 2. Me -13 T3. Woods -4 T3. McIllroy -4 5. Goosen -2 T6. Furyk -1 Other great stories to follow! | |
