That was my douchey deed for the day, off to go be a jackass elsewhere. Also, I believe Silent Hill is actually only a town if you have done evil things in your life. Because when I look on Google Maps for it, I see nothing, but when supreme kai looks, it finds out that Silent Hill is in Illinois.

You'll find that out later on in Homecoming.

Though the makers have said that Silent Hill's power has "intensified greatly" since SH1. It has already reached out to Heather's town from SH3 (which is a few hours drive from Silent Hill) and Ashfield from SH4 (which is half a day’s drive from Silent Hill).

You mean the female cop who disappeared in Silent Hill? Wheeler was mostly likely talking about Cybil Bennett, from SH1. It has been implied throughout the series that she didn't survive the events of the first game.

Silent Hill is a resort town so, yep, people do live there. James and Mary from SH2, and Harry from SH4 vacationed in the town a few years before SH2 began. But as far as I recall, we never actually visit the 'real world' Silent Hill during the games.

Same as above. The town itself is supposed to be a real place. We just never visit the 'real world' Silent Hill during the games.

The two dimensions we do visit are the 'fog' dimension and 'otherworld' deimension.

Yep, Silent Hill chooses it's victims. Though the people who are called to Silent Hill usually have a connection to the town.

Harry got called to Silent Hill because he had adopted Cheryl, Alessa's 'reincarnation'.
James, Angela and Eddie got called to Silent Hill because they needed punishment.
Heather got called to Silent Hill because...well, that's a big spoiler.
Travis saved Alessa near Silent Hill and she drew him into the otherworld.
Henry is the only protagonist who didn't really deserve to be drawn to Silent Hill. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

People who aren't called to Silent Hill (e.g. Laura from SH2) see the town normally.

Life pretty much goes on normally.
Harry survived SH1 and Travis survived SH: Origins and continued their lives normally.

It is only a select few people. Usually people who need to be drawn to Silent Hill for some reason or another. (punishment, to fulfil a ritual, etc)
