It's a nice touch. I don't really care much for them. The videos between each chapter are kick ass though.

So I've heard the mono remaster of Paperback Writer and the stereo remaster of Paperback Writer, and I think both mixes are horrible after having heard what it sounds like in the game. I like how the vocals work in the stereo mix, but the instruments seems so buried. On the other hand, the mono has strong instruments (especially guitar) but the vocal harmonies just aren't the same.
This leads me to the conclusion that the remastering used for the Beatles: Rock Band needs to be released. I would buy it if it was. ------------------- Onocron ![]()

Meh. I don't really like Paperback Writer that much anyway. But I did once think how cool it would be if the Limited Edition Bundle came with two CDs with all the songs in the game on it.
However, if there's one thing I can't stand about the game's mixes is the ending of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Listen closely to the fade out on the album version and compare it with the game's to see what I mean. ------------------- ![]() Lastest comic: Andrew GIF (Murray)

I'm going to, but I think the biggest "weakness" of the Beatles is the over-reliance on fade-out endings. Seriously, it's the most minor of flaws, but I've really come to like almost all of the endings in the game as opposed to the fade-outs.
Paperback Writer makes me feel confident when I listen to it. Don't know how to put it better than that. ------------------- Onocron ![]()

Although, for some reason, Come Together doesn't have a proper ending on the game. It just uses the fade out. I wonder why.

I read something about it, apparently it was something to do with artistic control and (I can't remember if this next part was about a different song) that Come Together never had a true ending, the recording has them just stopping after a while. They felt that the song was better represented with the fade, and I think how they handled the fade and the dreamscape works really well, even if I never actually play that song.

Sgt. Pepper's release date has been announced, November 17th, and apparently the Reprise doesn't come attached with A Day in the Life. Ah well.

quote FusionWhere was this done? I've been checking the Rock Band forums everyday for this information. Anyway, I used my three free codes on Being For The Benefit of Mr Kite!, Lovely Rita, and She's Coming Home, not A Day In The Life like I originally planned. The reason for this is that if it comes combined with the Reprise then I doubt the code would be valid anymore. And I'm going to buy the whole thing, anyway, so it doesn't matter. ------------------- Onocron ![]()

Got to love Scorehero. The post about the Reprise is somewhere down the line, the release date is in the OP.
Anyway I got all 6 Sgt. Pepper's songs off the list, so I only need to buy Within You Without You and the Reprise, so $4 for full Sgt. Pepper's (unless by some miracle they price the reprise at $1), pretty sweet deal. ------------------- ![]() It's out now! - Abbey Road is incredible.

Alright, sweet. I'd already guessed this date and I went out and bought more Microsoft Points specifically for this. I can't decide whether I should use the rest of the Points for Abbey Road or Rubber Soul, though (both isn't an option with what I have/don't know when I can get another points card).

Haven't listened to Rubber Soul much so my opinion is pretty biased but Abbey Road is incredible. The medley was incredible, loved every part of it and the way it transitions so smoothly, fabulous. Maxwell's Silver Hammer is great, honestly didn't play Because. My opinion might be a little less biased if I took the time to focus on Rubber Soul, but Abbey Road is great.

I did the math and estimated that Rubber Soul would cost about the same as Abbey Road did and I have enough points to buy all three albums, so I just purchased Abbey Road and played through all of the new stuff (The medley as a whole, though).
I like Rubber Soul more than Abbey Road. I don't know what it is about Abbey Road, but I just don't like it very much. It's probably around the middle of my Beatles albums, but I think my problem with it is that I have to be "in the mood" to listen to it. I can't just listen to Come Together, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Because, and the Medley, which is pretty much the entire album. Anyway, crisis averted with enough MS points (According to my calculation I have 700 points of leeway, so if the prices are a little more expensive than I guessed (800 Sgt. Pepper's, 1200 Rubber Soul) I'll be okay. ------------------- Onocron ![]()

I often listen to Rubber Soul more than Abbey Road. Not sure why. I guess I find it harder to stop listening to once it starts.
Looking forward to Sgt. Pepper. It should be good to finally get some DLC that's exactly as everyone else gets it. ------------------- ![]() Lastest comic: Andrew GIF (Murray)

I can play The Beatles online for Xbox without Gold now for some reason. Add me and lets see how long this lasts.
