Max Payne 3

So far not much has been released regarding the game other than it's apparently scheduled for a winter 2009 release. Aside from that, there's news from various articles that Max will be leaving New York behind, and there are hints that the game will have a darker tone than the first two (apparently Max will be more cynical than ever before and whatnot).

Interesting, I really didn't think they would take the time to make a third one.

Apparantly the July issue of Game Informer has a cover story on the game. I can't find much out about it yet though other than various sites with "leaked" details about the game being set more than a decade after the second and that it will take place in Brazil. Sounds...weird if it's true. Also, you can see from the scan of the cover that Max is looking a bit different...in a bad way. It might be included and shown in later pictures, but I'm going to go ahead and say this. Where the *bleep* is his leather jacket?

EDIT - It looks like everything about Brazil and all that is true. I can't find any decent readable scans yet from the GI article, but you can at least see the pictures from it here. Looks almost entirely different from the first two games. I'm hoping Max will at least stay just as deep a character as he has been in the past since it looks like pretty much everything else is changing. Hell, that might change too (though I certainly hope not and I will probably be forced to declare this as one of the worst games ever made if it does), but you can't tell from the pictures. There is also supposed to be some form of multiplayer, though no real details have been revealed at this time.

Well, it looks like Max Payne 3 will be joining an assload of other games being pushed back until 2010.
