Importing Option Files To Your 360

Here's a pretty simple guide to show you how to download option files from the web, and how to import them to your Xbox 360 via your PC.

Note that you should back up all your PES saved data files if something is to go wrong. I don't want to get the blame if you lose your 2015 Master League save!

What You Need
  • Xbox 360 with a Hard Drive.
  • A PES 2010 Option File.
How To Import a PES option file to your Computer

You need to find a decent OF. I would suggest looking here as it's most probably the best list of 360 option files around. Simply find an OF you like and download it. For my example, I will use the
D&C PES10 V1 OF, because it has Premier League kits.

How To Import a PES option file to your 360
  • It's much simpler than it sounds. I will use an XPORT in this example as it's what I use - but the migration cable will be much similar, if not the same. The XPORT costs just under £30 whereas the Migration Cable, you can get off eBay for around £5.
  • Download Xplorer 360. This will allow you to import files from your PC to your 360 console. But make sure you open the program 'as an administrator' - simply right click on the Xplorer 360 logo to find the button. Note that you should also have your downloaded OF folder open too.
  • Now go on to Xplorer 360 and open your 'device' - Xbox360 20GB Hard Drive for example. Find Partition 3 > 4B4E0801(PES 2010) and go into subfolder 00000001. You should see all your PES 2010 saved files here (Edit Data, ML saves etc).
  • Now simply drag and drop all the OF files across from your downloaded OF folder, and into your 00000001 subfolder. Once you have imported all the files, disconnect your hard-drive from the XPORT and put it back into your console.
  • Start up PES, but do not sign-in to Xbox Live. Stay offline, and head into Edit Mode. Make one change (Player number, name etc) - anything that will make your new option file unique, and different to everyone elses. This will save the OF creator/yourself a XBL ban for abusing file-sharing regulations.
  • If you did everything correctly, then you can play with your new option file. If something went wrong, then please use this thread to post your problems and I will help you as best as I can.

Awesome stuff. I would also like to say that the option file I downloaded is absolutely fantastic. The EPL badges look fantastic, and the kits are just superb. It's easily the best 360 OF around.

I don't think so. I think the Internet is the only place. I don't know any highstreet stores that sell these.

I don't as I don't own one. However I could look for a guide online for you. I take it you're playing on a PS3?

Still waiting to receive my data transfer cable from Microsoft, anyone know roughly how long it takes for them to get one out to you?

A few PES's ago there was a PC program which allowed you to update the option file, correcting player names and appearances, even those of youth players, does this still exist?

It usually takes around 2 weeks to arrive. Quite a long time, but better than spending £30 on an XPORT. I would have got a DTC from Microsoft but you need two 360 Serial codes.

The PESFan Editor is still around but currently there isn't a version for PES 2010. I assume they are still creating the program.

re: Importing Option Files To Your 360

Cheers for the info. Yeah its really for people who bought a shoddy X-box to start with and are now upgrading to the elite and want to transfer all their data.

Option file editor is nice for finding out which youths from previous games are still in there.

re: Importing Option Files To Your 360

I know how you feel mate. I gave up with the XPORT 360 technology, because it kept freezing after 60 or so files were being transferred. Don't use that program!

The Xplorer 360 program sometimes does that for me too, but it works fine when I remove the XPORT and restart my PC. Try doing that and see what it does.
