can someone give me the list of characters and how to git them please

Well, you could just check the faqs, because I'm pretty sure all of them are there. But to help out, what I remember (Haven't played in a year or so):

You get all the heroes by playing through on your first time. Do not lose any of these matches except once against Majin Vegeta (Or you won't get SSJ3 Goku, Vegito, Gotenks, or Evil King Piccolo) Also make sure to beat mission 20 with Vegeta, so you can get into the extra stories.

For the villains:

Nappa: Beat him with Vegeta
Guldo: Beat him with Krillin
Recoome: ?
Burter: ?
Jeice: ?
Ginyu: ?
Ginyu-Goku: ?
Frieza: Beat him with SSJ Trunks
Android 20: ?
Android 19: ?
Android 18: ?
Android 17: ?
Android 16: ?
Cell (1st stage): Beat him with Piccolo (kami)
Cell (2nd stage): ?
Cell (Perfect): ?
Cell Jr.: ?
Majin Buu: Beat him with SSJ Kid Trunks
Super Buu: ?
Super Buu (Gotenks): ?
Super Buu (Gohan): ?
Kid Buu: Not sure, but I think you beat him with Majin Buu
