From what I can gather, it's very unlikely that any forum will be getting any sort of clan or gang subforum for the time being because of all the spam and such. We'll most likely get at least a trading forum of some sort though. However, these things really won't be considered until a lot closer to release. ^___^

Well, considering that I was the moderator of the first "Clan" forum ever (the Gangs forum in Animal Crossing: Wild World), I'll try to explain. In Animal Crossing, you can visit each other's towns, hang out, do all sorts of stuff together, trade items, etc. Gangs were just a group of people that did this. They just did Wi-fi together. I also hosted some Gang competitions in the forum, where members got to compete for who was the best Gang. Basically though, you just hang out on Wi-fi together, compete together, and talk about Animal Crossing/Pokemon together. That was the original purpose. ^^;
Okay, I can get the code for the fadey links if you guys want it, but what color would you want it to fade to? ^-^ | |

Clans sound fun, but they're unnecessary. If people really want to meet up, you can use the PM system or maybe the On-Topic GD. Though, it sounds fine, I just think people didn't like them for the abuse of massive spamming. I posted in one of them before, and god, they posted fast. It's like, that's all they did. =x

I think clans are a great idea...with the new gen(remake) and the world of wi-fi it will be a great addition to the trading and battle sub-forums...but at least start them off and see how it turns out

Clans are a good idea. They are fun and everything. Who cares if people have more posts? I dont care on bit for my post count. I dont think that is a very good reason to keep clans away. Just cause post counts are going through the roof. Psssh.

Instead of making an all new clans forum when we have a rather busy one already, why don't we make Pokémon Diamond Clans into"General Pokémon Clans", for all the games past and future? If we have two, one would be dead and the other active, look what happened in Pearl with the Diamond forums, it was practically dead.
