Konami Press Conference |
|
No new footage was shown, but a video of the conference will be up later. Not much was said but here's a run down;

Haha yeah I know exactly what you mean. Sounds like a gimmick for some quick cash to me. I was wondering how it was multiplatform, and it's because Kojima isn't making it himself.

Well, I actually think this is a smart idea. Kojima has been talking about retiring some time. Whether the fans like it or not, Kojima will need to be replaced with a great developer. Maybe this young and upcoming individual is being "trained" by Kojima.
This is a good game to be doing it too as well. Multiplatform to attract more fans and not about solid snake so the diehard MGS fans wont get too mad if he screws up... -------------------

Meh, when I saw "Lightening bolt action" I was sure this wouldn't be from Kojima. He would have gone with his usual "tactical espionage action" as the subtitle.
But hey, we get Peace Walker. -------------------

I'd rather with hold comment and see where he is going to be taking this. Hopefully some idea of what we can expect or a good trailer showing gameplay will be tossed out early in production so we have some idea of the concepts we are going to be seeing down the road...

One can only hope Mish, but with Konami, one can never know. it might be a few months before release until we see any substantial footage.

Ummm wait you guys didn't know that he wasn't working on this title? How could you not, did you not see how much he specified that the new PSP game was actually made by him? It honestly made it clear that he wasn't working on this game, however this game will still be great, simply because I'm sure he'll have some sort of say in it...
Even then, a new team doesn't necessarily mean it'll be a crap game, I bet you it's top notch... ------------------- ![]()

What were you guys expecting when Kojima himself called Peace Walker the "true sequel."

I still think Rising will be a great game. It will be extremely hard to completely put out a crap game that deals with what Kojima has built up for the past 2 decades...

I know it should be about what you play it on but I am really disappointed PW is on PSP. MPO was terrible, well actually it was great but honestly a game that is of that importance to Kojima should really be on the next-gen consoles.

I can recall the same old worries and comments for the past 3 games on here. Yet by the time the games have come out, people shut up because they've got another masterpiece in their hands. Just trust.
