I know that no Wii game currently released has Classic Controller functionality, but do you think they'll make an exception for this title? I'm thinking about getting a Classic Controller for Super Mario World off the Virtual Console anyway (the Gamecube controller doesn't allow you to run and jump as well as the classic SNES controller) and I can find them for much cheaper than the Wiimotes on the market today. Will you only be able to play this game with the Wiimote due to its waggle functionality during some parts of the game, or can you mix and match, like Mario Kart Wii? Anyone know?

Actually, the Classic Controller is compatible for some Wii games, such as these games.
Now, I don't know whether this game would support those, but apparently they will have something similar to a classic controller for this game, as seen here. An option for the real Classic Controller would still be nice though. ------------------- | |

I'm liking that Classic Shell Grip, and for just $9.99? Might be purchasing one of those for myself, my friends will have to deal with their crappy controllers.

Using the GC Controller would be classic.But it would be original since it's a Side Scroller.

Well, so far only the use of the Wii controls has been released, and I doubt classic controls will be available. For reasons such as you need to shake the Wii remote in order to perform a jump-spin.

I seriously loved using the Wii and nunchuck for Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 and I think provide better controls than the DS and GC. More so for Mario games.
