I can presume that I'm not the only one waiting for this game. So, how do guys feel about the game? Do you think it will be good?

From the trailer I saw it looked to be in Third Person, but I'm not sure. I think the new viewpoint is ok, but I think it will be a HUGE change. What do you guys think about it?

I think it'll all be a huge change, and for the better too. And, based on what I saw at the beginning and the end of the trailer, and the name, that there is now a second samus to go with the first, and this time, they look exactly the same, and as far as I can see don't hate each other. I really can't wait for this game. When Nintendo announced that there were not going to be anymore metroid games, something in my heart died, and now its reborn at the thought of this new one. I live on this series.

As long as they keep the core of Metroid games intact, the isolated, freeroam exploration and power-up systems, any viewpoint is fine with me.

The game is structured like Fusion, so it's linear with optional exploration. Although it will apparantly offer more freedom than Fusion did, but even so. The experience is more story/action driven than the previous games according to the interviews.

And that 'second Samus' is not a second Samus. The short haired girl is a younger Samus from a flashback and the other character near teh end of teh trailer is NOT another Samus or the like, it was confirmed in one of the interview's she's just an important character, but most certainly not Samus or a Samus clone or the like.

I'm still wondering when this will release, hoepfully sometime early/mid 2010.

I imagine more of a early fall-holiday 2010 release. Nintendo has already said they are aiming to get Galaxy 2 out the door in early 2010, and we also have Sin and Punishment 2 for early in the year next year. This may be one of their headline Christmas games next year.

The Grinder's due around Summer as well so I suppose Other M would be better released late on in the year, unfortunately >_<
Hopefully there won't be much of a delay between American and European releases.

I just noticed how most Metroid games was released in August.
The first Metroid for the NES was released in August.

That and Super Metroid was released on the Virtual Console, also in August.

Metroid Prime 3 came out in August 2007.(wow, 2 years ago already)

Even the Metroid Prime Trilogy is being released this month. XD

I bet this game will be released in August of next year.

I think it will tak longer to come than next year cause games take awhile to make

it will be a huge change I still think it'll be good but I hope they make more first person metroid games

I don't think the change will be that huge but I fear it may lose some of the renowned exploration aspect in favor of more action-oriented gameplay. Just look at the intro video.

As for the length of the wait...it can't be that long but it will be a bad time to come out compared to some of the other big budget titles delayed to around the same time. Going to be a hard decision to make.
