From then teaser video, we see a drill Mario uses. It seems like a easier way to go to the opposite side of planets (which I always find a bit annoying).
I wonder, do you think this will be a item you can use at anytime, with a selection of other tools or will we just be picking it up on some levels like the outfits. Also what other tools do you want to see (presuming there will be)? ^^ -------------------  | |

I'm guessing it will only be available to use on certain levels in specific situations. In fact, I don't think any items will be available to use all of the time.

Well I'm figuring the drill is similar to the Mario Suits, you can only get them on certain planets, but it would be cool to have a "Tool Kit" like feature, but that might make levels easier.

Mario did use to be a carpenter, so maybe he might still have some tools left over from that job.

The tools will be just like the suits - available at certain times in levels when needed.
