Light or Heavy?

I prefer to stay normal on the legs but either heavy (if the weapon is crappy) or light(if the weapon doesn't lose damage) for weapons, but get alot of armor, too.

re: Light or Heavy?

Heavy lvl 1 on the Chassis will make you lose a slot, so you know, and lightening the Gatling is a very good idea.....

re: Light or Heavy?

Because it upgrades it more. For like weak weapons, and some of the stronger ones, going level 99 either way costs a lot more than 97 to 98. Its because it is either lowering the weight more than normal, or giving it more damage than normal.

to be trueful, all of the different customizing options do different things at different levels, so they both have their own advantages. so try either way

I like to go light with the body a load up all four slots with heavy weapons. Or the other way around. There isnt just one way.

re: Light or Heavy?

the best scoobee is without a doubt a holy heavy on the body but leaving enough slots to have as short a recharge on the camo as possible. hover legs. as heavy as you can go on the l&rs missles or go as light as you can go on the missles depends on what your carrying on the arms. i like gatlin anti-sv or gatlin laser or if your real good double up on the lasers. but you gotta be good for that. or my fav. light on everything laser bazooka thingy and really light missles. oh and the timing on the missles is THE MOST IMPORTANT SKILL IN THE GAME. if you can time it right and have the right damage to number per trigger pull you can be lighting the fool up and he never get a shot off because if your geting hit its hard to evade. thus why it's so hard to beat roy. he gets you stuck withe machine guns and its oving you backwards say into a wall or worse a corner. and once he's got you like that he starts rocking you with the missles which by the way he fires i think 6missles per trigger pull. why? because he's using the telamosu or whatever it's called. that mech sucks in every configuration but that one. in that one it almost is is the best mech in the game. and if you beat roy with out that mech you didn't really beat roy. he was just cheesing.

re: Light or Heavy?

Vorse:
my origonal design was a phobos with a arm mounted machinegun and a drill arm for weapons. I tried to get a ratio of the legs to be as light as they can be and keeping a stout core to prevented one hit kills :/ I weighted down the drill arms for massive dammage and lifted the machine gun. I use the machine gun to decloak targets and the drill to kill in ussually a couple of hits. Later I realized that that was completely futile.
Ox:
Ox was a major improvment over vorse. Taking to drill arm and the machine gun and the core to maximized weight made the thing damn near indestructable. The machine gun could completely anihalate any lightweight mechs in its path and the drill could destroy even the most armored oponents. Slow you say, lol. Yes its walking speed is a bit under par, but when you get a lock with that blade you explode into an all out boost that cannot be evaded without the emergency boosters which even then your already dead.
Wagth:
waght was a design that was not ment for power, but to be completely outragously fun to pilot. Its a six leged holy with dual light gatling guns and a laser. When my freind was running up the ramp from me in a level {with the spiral ramp leading upwards in a cavarn) bullets where hitting all around him sparking the walls and destroying the explosive barrels, laser sweeping him from time to time wagth is a fun mech to play.
Captain A: (captain ahab)
captain A is a mighty fellow hes an american pile of junk that is maxed out heavy with only two missle cannons to bear with only fifteen rockets a peice he runs out of ammy quickly. He can demolish anything with his win missles and for a while I thought he was invinceble until he ran out of ammo...until I made Ox.
Monkey: (the name is an inside joke)
monkey is one of the most powerful lightweights one could create. Hes a hover phobos with dual back 4x missle luanchers and twi arm mounted missle cannons. Everything as light as I can get it with the legs being completely light of corse. You simply cant catch the thing. It can outrun missles at top speed and it is very manuverable. A few hits will destroy it but if your a capable pilot the sheer ammounts of missles can decloak and blind a target very easily. Smoke and dust as far as the eye can see so there ussually is a shootup an have your opponent retreat and regroup, and as they wait for you to come around the corner you've already gone around the whole level and your behind them now, monkey is a interesting and deadly scoobie.

Ox, Monkey, And captain A are extreme investments ussualy consting millions a peice. the most effective by far is Ox though.

long neh?

re: Light or Heavy?

this is by far the best mech you can build no only is it solid but it has power and speed you take the hover legs for a holy to level 46 or so and get to hm10 arm cannons and bring them both to level 99 bring the body to level 50 or so just to the point where its durability is 30,000 and for the back id recommend something like the meteor at level 99 light and a grenade launcher light 99 also and optical camoflauge the .200 one and I like the wolf chip because its can defend the mech and has a high mortal shot and you should be set the max speed of this would be somewehre right around 118 0r 120 with mass amounts of firepower from the arms and extra from the 6 missiles and a solid core and I had a level 99 wolf 2 chip which had 12 repulsion shield and 13 mortal shot and with the combined power of the repulsion shield and the armor from the body its truly a force to be reckoned with I took on roy and siba and had no problem especially with the majority of the damage coming from my two arm cannons this is I think the best possible mech you could build from scratch in this game
