Is this game part of a series? I heard the guy from Sony say something about a series, and then the trailer for this game showed. I couldn't hear it, my dog was barking at something. -------------------  | |

Technically they're not really a series, and are barely related to each other through very subtle implications and hints. But seeing as they all from Team ICO and all carry the same themes and styles, they are indeed a series. And if you do enough digging, you'll find that there is indeed a chronology to them.

All you'd need is The Last Guardian, even though ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are both amazing games.

If I were you, I'd sell my mother to get SotC. It's phenomenal. You have to be be able to enjoy a game from a certain angle, but if it's your thing it's mind blowing.

You should note that the NTSC (American) version of both games is a LOT cheaper than the PAL version. I dunno where you're from, but if you're in a PAL region and have a chipped PS2 where it makes no difference what region it is, maybe you should consider Ebay.

No idea what PAL means, but I'm American so I assume it means European. I can probably pick up a used copy for pretty cheap, of both the other games in the Trico series. Depends on how old they are. If they're a couple of years old, I can probably get each for about $4. ------------------- | |

The Last Guardian honestly warms my heart, the young boy and his beast are so endearing I want to cry
 (and I'm a bit old for that kind of sentiment) It just reminds me of why I care about video games, why I enjoyed Ocarina of Time when I was younger and what joy they can bring. With the new technology the graphics are really life like and more emotive than anything I've seen. Sod FPS games I hope this will be a beautiful experience when its out. -------------------
