I think that this is the sort of thing everyone deserves to read. He talks about why he chose that weird animal thing, and why he chose the concept like he did. He also talks about technical aspects like the physics. Sounds like the greatest game ever, can't wait to get involved in it.

I hope they do the creature right. No matter how adorable, if it never does what you want/need it to, you'll start to hate it.

Interesting, everything Ueda does is done for a reason and that is why this series is so amazing. I just hope that the audience who appreciate this type of stuff still is alive an kicking in the video game world because too many gamers are into FPSs and Ninja Gaiden type games.

Why would anyone even want online play in a Ueda game? Not to sound angry or anything, but I just don't understand why everyone thinks all games need an online mode. MGS4 sure didn't need one, and look how great that game is.

No, online would kill the game. There is no feasible way to implement online without ruining the experience in the process.

^ You're right, it doesn't need it. But you know the guy. Well you don't...but you should know that if he has an idea in his head, he's got a nasty habit of executing it in the most awesome way possible. If he wants online, I expect it to be worth it.

I'm just imagining a bunch of eagle-cats running around in a closed off level...and frankly nothing pops to mind when I try to brainstorm any functional online modes that could work in a game like this.
