Which cars are really bad to drive with? |
|
I was wondering, Is there a car y'all bought, which seemed fine at first, but really sucked when you were driving with it on the tracks?
I had the TVR Tuscan Speed 6 '00. Seemed ok from the outside, nice color and all, had 359 bhp, seemed quite nice, but it steered like a lazy buffalo, i might say! So, never buy this car!! ------------------- ![]() "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum"

I didn't find the Tuscan to be too bad. Though, that was possibly because I'd driven the T350C immediately before it. That car handles absolutely atrociously. It's difficult to believe how different the T350C, Tuscan and Tamora drive (the Tamora is quite lovely), considering they share many of the same components, particularly the Tamora and T350C. Inside they're essentially identical. I reckon Polyphony Digital messed it up.
Supercars. In general. The SLR handles like an absolute pig, and the Ford GT is close behind. In GT, a car that focuses too much on luxury just becomes a crap car to drive. The Zonda and Enzo are absolutely fantastic though. I was disappointed by the TommyKaira ZZII. I was waiting to buy it eagerly, but when I did...it wasn't as perfect as I hoped. It's very good, but it understeers more than it oversteers, which shouldn't happen in a car with 500hp going to the rear wheels. What's more, when does a rear driven car that weighs just 1000kg understeer? Mazda Furai, it's just too hard! It's mental. -------------------

You're right about the Supercars. Have experienced the same.
The Amuse Carbon R (R34) drives me crazy too by the way ------------------- ![]() "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum"

^ What's wrong with the Amuse? Supercars are one thing, but I wouldn't expect anything Japanese, and built off the R34 to be bad.
Edit: The Spyker C8 Laviolette. Who'd have thought anything that looks so good, and weighs so little, could drive so poorly? I reckon PD screwed that one up too. Anything you do will result in vicious over-steer...but that's not the killer. It's the snap-back that occurs when you try to correct it that'll send you around. I don't usually spin in any regular car, I do in the Furai, but I can control everything else from NSX to Enzo to Zonda with all assists off. The Spyker is something else. Of course, once you learn to control it it's very rewarding, and I managed a couple of decent laps on Tokyo R246. Still, those laps were only a smidgen faster than the NSX, though it has a couple of hundred more horsepower to play with, AND it weighs significantly less. Edit again: The M3 GTR. I think PD messed it up. It's the lightest 3-series available, but it handles like a very heavy car. It's reluctant to turn, and when you get it to turn the snap-back-oversteer will kill you. i don't like the spyker's styling..
a car i reckons is gorgeous, the Chapparal 2D; can do 0-60 in (insert exaggerated analogy of slowness here), has only three gears, and a top speed of 208mph (if it ever gets there..). if i had this car in reality, i would not think twice about replacing the gearbox.. classic or not! ![]()

i know i will proably get quite a few objections to this but i am not a big fan of the Enzo. I find that the brakes aren't strong enough so you end up having to brake 100m before you normaly would in any other car- or is this just me???

quote Count OrlandeauI think I have to agree to you on that point, although I have to say my only experience with the Enzo is at the Drivers License exam where you race a part of the Cote d'Azur track, but I did also had a problem there with the brakes and also the acceleration while taking corners ------------------- ![]() "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum"
