re: CCE Discussion, Ideas and Sharing |

Just thought of an idea which would be a sign up, experiment/story. would involve older players all being in non league not having huge CA but a respectable PA, and seeing how they advance through the leagues and see if any can make it big. players would be about 23/24.
I also thought that the comps like appretice and hiddinks coaching classes were great but they both closed, would be nice to see another one on the go. This message was edited by shandy on Jul 12 2009. ------------------- ![]() “Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.”

I was thinking about a new challenge that will make the game more fun. So I came up with this idea: You start unemployed and takeover a club when you have a chance... but the aim of the game is not to manage the dominant clubs in Europe but to get a certain ammount of money from the contracts. You will have to write them down somewhere for example you get Q.P.R job and you earn 10,000 per week, you will have to write it down and for how much you have had that contract. So if you have been at Q.P.R for one year you times your per week earning by 52 (number of weeks in year). Please say what you think about it and any improvements!

Think the calculations are unnecessary. There's a lifetime earnings on your manager profile page iirc?

I've been thinking of these challenges for a while now:
Alex Ferguson Challenge 1. Take over at East Stirlingshire (Scottish Football League Third Division) and try to get them promoted. Hopefully eventually you will get a job offer off a more illusturous club in the Scottish League. or Take over at St. Mirren and manage them until you win the SPL. 2. Then if you are given an offer of managing an SPL team (not Celtic or Rangers) you must accept it and lead that team to league and European success. 3. Then you are free to manage in the Premiership (any team) and win the league, FA Cup and Champions League. -------------------------- Brian Clough Challenge Option 1: Manage Derby County and win the Premier League. Option 2: Mange Nottingham Forest and win the Premier League and Champions League. Have either of these been done before? Is there any interest in these challenges? Is the layout clear enough? ------------------- "If you can motivate your men to fill those dying seconds with a last minute run, Yours is the glory, the game and everything that’s in it, And what’s more, you’ll be a manager my son."

I've thought of a competition idea. It'd be an offline, head to head knockout challenge. I would ask for twenty competitors, and I would give them a number between 1 and 20. I would then pair those numbers up, and the pairs would face each other in a challenge. Each pair would have a different challenge, and whoever does best with that team over the season progresses through. I will then do it right through to see who completes all the challenges.
Good idea? Would people be interested? -------------------

Another AndyD_U Idea I have already started work on the next thing i shall be doing in this forum, after my current competition of course, but before i start to really put things together i would like some feedback. Basically it will be a interactive experiment in which i have have replaced Iceland with Greenland and both of the leagues have been edited. Then what i would do is remove all the teams from the current two leagues of twelve each and allow twenty-four members to create a club to fill the spaces. Now i aiming to make this a really long running thing so i would be doing yearly updates in which i would include information on the leagues, teams, how the country is getting on and the regens as well as world events. With the sign up to make it as customizable as possible to make your teams i would allow everyone 150 points to buy certain stuff for example ten points for a 10,000 capacity stadium thirty points for a 18,000 capacity stadium. I would then do this with finances, sugar daddy's and a few more which i can't remember at the moment. I have also rigged it so you would have to compromise on certain stuff so you could not have the perfect club with the best of everything. Now the part i would most like some suggestions with is how to assign players to each team as i want all of them to be pretty evenly matched. I was going along the lines of adding another points bit where you buy your squad according to their CA & PA. But i think that would be a bit too complicated. So the main three points i am asking is; 1. Is it a good idea and would you be interested 2. How could i sort out the players so the teams are pretty evenly matched 3. If anyone has any questions just ask ------------------- ![]() A lot of people like snow. I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water

Thats a really good idea.
I suppose to have teams balanced you could like have a limit of perhaps 2 CA 170+ in a team or 2 PA -8/-9/-10 players in a team and then the rest as a draft??? Or have people choose a squad of 23 with the a limit of players to only one from the top 23 leagues in europe. E.G. You could only choose one player from the premiership, one from La Liga, one from the SPL, ...etc. Until you have a squad of 23 This message was edited by spoony2oo6 on Jul 28 2009.

Thanks
I could do but i don't want to make them too good more like League 1/Championship Sides. What else i just thought of is to create a few sets of 15 players which people can choose from each varying from players with great PA to players with already good CA, also I'm planning on making the players as i want them all to be from Greenland so they have some players to choose from. Anyway i will probably have a while to think about it as my current comp will probably won't finish for a while. ------------------- ![]() A lot of people like snow.
