re: Unemployment Challenge [V] |

Seems I was destined to never get Macclesfield back into League Two.
Finished my 3rd season in 4th spot, only 1 win off the league title, went through to the play-offs final but lost 2-1 to Brentford. I resigned at the end of the season, applied for Lincoln in League 2, they offered, I delayed a week as Wycombe became available and I got the Wycombe job! They've just been promoted to League One and with no transfer budget I've got a tough job, but I needed a fresh change. Plus I've jumped two leagues!!! -------------------

Right, so I've been with Droylsden for two seasons. I have won:
Conference League Cup x2 FA Trophy x2 Blue Square North title Blue Square Premier title But now I have been offered the Wycombe job, who finished about 18th in League 2, and the Bournemouth job, who also finished around 18th in L2. Do I..

From the sounds of it, you should stick with Droylsden.
You could easily get a League One job if you have a decent season with Droylsden. Plus I'm guessing you have a good side at the mo, moving clubs would only mean re-building and with both sides offering no transfer money that would be a tough challenge. Out of the 3 clubs in League 2, I'd say stick! -------------------

You should defo stay with Droylseden Nick.
I'm halfway through my 3rd season again and I'm 8th with 2 games in hand. I'm through to the CLC Final and the FA Trophy 4th round. I'm unbeaten now in about 20 matches so I'm unbeaten in 2011. Just beat Crawley in the league 3-1 so I'll have to see where that puts me. -------------------

How long does it usually take to get a job in League 2 or above?
Currently in charge of Braintree, mid January and im top of the BSS by one point, cant see it lasting, been playing terrible lately. Want to get to a different club ASAP, applied for every job going, i'm still unexperienced enough to manage a BSP team Hopefully I'll grab another job at the end of the season

I'd say it'd take a while, unless you do like NickGull and get successive promotions.
Best way is to win the BSS or win the Cups, it boosts your rep and then clubs will come for you. I personally went from a BSN team to a BSP team after 1 season and then after 3 seasons with them I got a League 1 job. -------------------

Do what The Hudd says and you'll be linked with loads of jobs. I've won 6 trophies in 2 seasons, and am being linked with League One teams now,
Im going to try and have a successful season with Droylsden next year. Hopefully safely avoid relegation -------------------

Oh joy....
Went out in the Conference league cup in the 4th round, 2nd recond of the FA Trophy, 3rd qual round of FA Cup, so not so good. I've never managed at this level before, only loaded english leagues on medium database, the level of "talent" I can bring to the club is shockingly bad. Whats the best type of player to sign? I tried getting a 6"4 striker with 17 and 15 for jumping and heading respectively, to use as a target man, but he snubbed me. Im looking for a RW atm with decent acceleration and crossing, having no luck, any u guys can recommend? And Danny Hockton is a legend, 32 goals in 35 games

No he's not on my game, knew I should have put it on large database.
Just beat Wimbledon 8-7 on penalties in the play off final Still going to look for another club though!
