re: Unemployment Challenge [V]

Haha last time you said that I ended up winning league 2!

I can't see it this time though. My team has got waeker if anything compared to las season. I can't see why their finances are so rubbish though!

So far played 2, drawn 2 in the league.

re: Unemployment Challenge [V]

Hahaha!

I don't understand why your finances are like that though

I've just won the Conference League Cup (twice in two years!) after beating Ebbsfleet 1-0 courtesy of a goal by Jim Ablancourt, in the 42nd minute.

1 down, 2 to go

Congrats mate. My record in the conference cup was pretty rubbish!

I thought Forrest would be quite good financially. Decent sized stadium, good support. Obviously not!

Lol cheers! :>

I'd have thought so too, but obviously not. What was your average attendance last year? Mine was about 1,100 at the moment, in the BSP

re: Unemployment Challenge [V]

Nearly 22k last year. Which isn't bad for the championship really.

I'm currently 8th. Played 5, won 2, drawn 3. Not bad.

I'm doing well with Ghana as well, won my only competitive game (ACoN qualifier), and won and draw my 2 friendlies. Both of which I was experimenting in.

Essien is a beast!

h right thats a lot! lol

Sounds like you're doing well

Just lost my first game in about 20 games, to Torquay at home But I'm 15 points clear so it's all good

Also, Bournemouth have just approached me, but I delayed until the end of the season :>

re: Unemployment Challenge [V]

Two consecutive defeats and injuries starting to take its toll - luckily I built up a big lead which now stands at 13 points. I think I'll end up winning the league by about 6/7 points...

re: Unemployment Challenge [V]

Mini Update: I got offered the Macclesfield job, they are 18th in the BSQ Prem. I was 3rd with Hyde in the BSN at the time, I jumped ship, a much better club I feel.

After 3-4 games haven't done that great, mostly draws.
Managed to get Zavon Hines, Jake Livermore and Dany N'Guessan on loan though, so I'm hoping they'll push me up the league.

Only in about November at the mo. However my tactics are coming undone this season, any tips for the BSQ Prem?

re: Unemployment Challenge [V]

Normal 4-4-2 is what I use, The Hudd. Worked wonders, as I'm in my first year in the BSP, and am 12 points clear with a game in hand

I've won the Conference League Cup twice in a row, and am in the FA Trophy Final with the chance to win that for the second time in a row

re: Unemployment Challenge [V]

Really? Nice one!

I've sucked big time in the cups, got knocked out of them all when I was Hyde.
I'm hoping for a bit of a run with Macclesfield though.

Yeah I used 4-4-2 1st season and ended 7th in BSN.
Just switched to 4-5-1 in an away game and snuck a 1-0 so maybe I'll use that.

12pts clear is impressive! Your gonna have some job offers soon, I got Macc after just a 7th placed finish, so you should be well in

Haha cheers

Already had some offers for me, Bournemouth and Wycombe, but I delayed as I want to finish the job with Droylsden first

re: Unemployment Challenge [V]

It's now February on my Farsley game. I have failed in the CLC against Droylsden, lost in the FA Cup 1st round against Accrington and lost 1-0 to Woking in the FA Trophy, yet I'm still unbeaten in the league! Denis Baylac has been somewhat my saviour seeing as I have been playing Pascal Bedrossian as an emergency striker a few times this season. I'm 5 points clear of Harrogate and have played 26 matches. I'm starting to get the feeling that I can go the season unbeaten. I have my French oldies to thank for this, the french lower leagues is really the place to get top quality for the Blue Square leagues

re: Unemployment Challenge [V]

I think that I am going to limp over the finishing line - luckily I built a big enough lead. I keep losing to poor teams. Once the leagues wrapped up, I play Luton at Wembley in the FA Trophy Final and then I'll have to decide whether to move on to Wycombe or Bournemouth or stay at Droylsden.

re: Unemployment Challenge [V]

Finally lost in the league. It took 30 matches but I have lost 2-1 to Stalybridge. I'm now in 10th March and have played 31 games and am 2nd, with Harrogate taking me as they've only lost 2 and haven't drawn like me. They are also on 70 points but I have a game in hand
