I think you're in the wrong forum. This is the PS2 version, not the PSP version (with Etna mode).

That being said, I've been told that all the areas in the DA need to be unlocked again. Not sure about equipment.

By the way, do you need to complete a game with Laharl to play as Etna? I thought the shortcut code Triangle, Square, Circle, Triangle Square, Circle, X at the start screen allowed you to start playing as Etna.

They'll still be equipped to him, so you'd have to unequip them if you want to use them in Etna mode.

@Strawberryleaves - I believe you actually need to read all of Etna's diary entries (one per chapter till you get the Testament) in order to access the Etna mode (the first time around that is, don't need to after that). It includes the bonus of getting testament (emblem). The cheat code unlocks 'easy etna mode', where enemy levels are not boosted.
