re: Disgaea General Discussion 2 |

OK I can try to find a guide - however I am going to do statisticians and armsmaster then start leveling again.
I think instead of leveling 10 characters I am going to start doing 6-7. Doing 10 is taking to much of my time ;p Could I defeat the end game bosses with 6-7 characters? I am thinking Laharl-RedM-BlueM-GreenM-Ninja-Scout-Thief-Warrior. I don't know - what do you do? Have fun w/ Two Worlds - I am going to wait on that - I have BioShock being shipped to me now - so I might be playing Disgaea and that at the same time ;p

Yeah, you spread yourself too thin, if you level 10 chars at once...
BTW: My Female samurai? She is...nearly 6K attack now >_> Laharl is over 5K himself... I'm trying to give my mages (particularly my fire mage) enough mana (5K more -_-) to transmigrate at genius level, into a Prism Mage...and since she is the master of my ice mage, wind mage, star mage, and healer, she'll be able to learn ALL of the magics (Tera Ice, Tera Wind, Tera Star, and Omega heal in particular)... You said you were what? Around level 100 for Laharl, and like, around the high 60's and 70's with your secondary characters? Yeah, that is plenty good to kill em all...providing your weapons and defence doesn't suck anyhow... BTW: Make sure your thief has very good stealing hands (I'm talking over 100 hit points on the best hands), because the last few areas have really good armour (celestial armor)...try to get that armor at rare status, at least... -------------------

OK Cool - right now I am going to level my main 5-6.
The problem with my mages is that Laharl is the mentor of all of them since I did not know about that once I started. Any suggestions on what I should do so one mage can learn all the spells like you did? Right now Laharl is level 154 and my warrior is 153 and a few of my mages are in the 150's now as well. I took an item and farmed it up to 300 statistician and then I went to the first board in Celestia and combined all the monsters to form a 249 and then weaken w/ Laharl and do the final kill with whichever character I want - so they are going up 12-15 levels per kill.

Have one mage transmigrate through Blue, Red, Green, and Star.
I think that will give you all the spells. ![]() -------------------

re: Disgaea General Discussion 2 |
quote djgamer07I suggest having at least two though... I have three...well, four, but I only use three of them (and only three of them are any good as a result)...I have a Red, Blue, and Star mage...My star mage is the most powerful by a bit, and the red and blue ones are pretty close in power... Dammit, I'm doing a little too good on CoO3, because now, its about all I can do to get four, or maybe 5, on the bonus guage...I'm killing enemies too quick -_- I might have one weaker character replace either laharl, or my female samurai... In any case, I better go get some more staticians...I could use a bunch of them (several groups of at least 150 each)... -------------------

Why not kill all but one of them, and then use a Scout to set up some Geo panels, so you can try for that bonus, too?

Right now I have 4 as well, Red,Blue,Green,Star - and my Red is by far the most powerful. Very high INT -
I will probably keep the Red and then create a mage and transmigrate through all the mage classes to get another powerful one. Once I get my characters I want to 150 I am going to go beat the game and then start working on end game stuff! I will get a lot of those hands w/ 100+ hit on them - I have a good back log of them from when I was raising my statisticians - they would level up on 10th floor to 100 or more. Next I am going to work on a item with a high level for armsmaster and a staff with high teachers.

Deis, I might try that, but geo change is kind of hit or miss...and most likely, I'd just end up losing the EXP bonus...
Dood, you're at level 150 already right? At least with laharl? Unless you have crappy equipment, you're plenty strong to beat CoO3, I would say...But yeah, cycle over first, then unlock it ASAP...you'll very likely have to fight senators though... When going to the last area, be sure to steal the seraph's rarer items first (Try for the legendary or rare celestial armor at least) BTW: TWO WORLDS GOT DELAYED AGAIN ARGGGGHHHH! They are trying to piss people off, arn't they? They WANT people to not get the game or something? >_> -------------------

Yeah level 150+ w/ 6 of my characters
I guess it's time to go beat the game and then do some nice end game stuff! Once Bio Shock comes in I will take a break and play that for a while then go back to Disgaea ;p Yeah I don't get why they keep delaying Two Worlds - can't stand when that happens!

re: Disgaea General Discussion 2 |

When I started my two main characters started around level 85 - 90+ good attack and defence though...with decent weapons, you're ready to take on CoO3 for sure...
Yeah, you're DEFINITELY ready for CoO3,,,unless most of your characters are unable to do 3x3 grid attacks? Use weaker characters to make the combo number go up, and start using your 3x3 (or at least multi targeting) characters to finish em off...keep your mages as far away as you can afford, they likely can't afford to get hit (unless they are around 400 defence, 1000 HP)... BTW: A glitch...even if you KILL an enemy that connects two separate attacks (for combo boosts), so long as the next character WILL hit at least one character (thats still alive), and their attack goes over that now empty grid place, you still get a combo+...odd but good ^_^ BTW: I might cancel my Two Worlds pre-order, if I can...I hear its a horrible game...a cheap Oblivion knock off...I'll have to read some reviews, before I decide for sure... -------------------

Yeah some of my characters have 3x3 grid attacks and my mages do - so I should be good.
I was doing good in the first board in Celestia so I stayed there for a while just doing some leveling ;p Did not get to play last night - so will try to venture back to the game tonight. Yeah Two Worlds did not even make my list of games to buy haha.

re: Disgaea General Discussion 2 |
quote DeisI prefer to use that last enemy, as an easy kill for some characters I try to level up (namely, a male fighter...I want my Majin, which requires pretty much all male humanoids, to be level 200 at the same time)... Meh, by changing the order of attack, I can now (usually) get to level 5 on the bonus panel (rarely six, sometimes 4, and sometimes 3)... I've got nearly 50 million HL ATM...So I'm not hard up for cash... BTW: Lol, in the other save i have a bunch of (cheated) level 9999 characters...Millions of mana on my major characters, and about a Quadrillion (yes, 1000 trillion) HL, I think...Well, at least in the trillions of HL... -------------------

I beat the game today - not the good ending, but can watch on youtube ;p
Well now its time for end game stuff! I went to CoO3 and could not do enough damage so I am going to upgrade my gear and get some specialties (gladiators) on my weapons. Is there a really fast way to get a lot of specialties? I know Gladiator caps at 19998 and that would take forever to even try to do. What do you guys do to get a lot of specialties fast? Thanks!
