LiverpoolYNWA, do you use the matchside instructions thing? I find that this helps alot turn the tide of a game.

I think you would (anyone) get alot of benefit by reading 'Tactical Theorems '10' its available on FM-Base and its really helpfull for describing exactly what each tactic and sideline shout does/means etc. It also describes exactly what is meant by the different levels of fluidity, creativity etc is.

If you are trying to get my formation to work, you really need a creative CAM in the middle to play that playmaker role, VDV is perfect for it, and Gerrard does a good job (but for me is better placed as an Attacking midfielder-support). I also think you should keep the fluidity as automated/standard (the middle setting) to give some of your creative players more chance to roam and get in to spaces.

You should adjust your passing depending on opposition, weather and tactics. For instance, if it's downpouring I'd play a direct play with "Play into space" (Sideline instructions) as the ball stops in the grass in front of your player.

Listen to Sammy as well. He usually says if long passes or short passes connects or not.

Yeah £2m is true But I sold Lucas and Babel and they raised the funds big time (think I got about £19m in total for the pair)

I'd try to sell:

Degen - I got £2.5m
Krygiakos - He's pretty hard to sell for me, only just got rid of him in my second season
Dossena - I got £5m
Nabil El Zhar - Surprisingly got £2m for the guy

I was able to get around £30m in funds from the transfers, so not too bad really. And yes, Gerrard is pretty epic, but Torres is immense for me.

Just finished my first season with Liverpool and what a season it was.

First season went really well. Signed Van Nistelrooy and Di Maria and ended up winning the league with just one loss.
