The amount of times I've seen people asking about this is getting crazy now, so I thought I'd just make a thread of it. As many people know, it is possible to play down to level 7 of English football, which adds the Isthmian Premier, Southern Premier and Northern Premier leagues to the playable leagues in England. These leagues are not on the game from the off, however, you have to add them through the editor. This is how you do that:

Go on the data editor (Found through 'Computer > System/C: Drive > Program Files > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2010 > Tools > Editor)

Click 'file' at the top, then 'load database'.

There will be an option on the left saying 'nation rules' or something. Click on that, then there's a drop down list with nations, which you have to select England.

There will be a choice of boxes to tick, either 'add new leagues' or 'load lower divisions' (something like that), click the second one then click 'next'.

Then down the left there'll be a list of the English leagues, click the 'regional leagues' one, then when all the info comes up, somewhere there'll be a drop down list, currently it will say 'inactive league' but it obviously needs changing to 'active league' or whatever it says to this effect.

A bit further down the into it has options for the number of 'promoted teams' and 'relegated teams', change these both to 6, otherwise it won't load properly.

All you have to do now is save it, then exit.

And there you have it, now the lower lower leagues will be playable.

Was just about to ask you how you did this. I take it once you put it in you can edit the teams etc so that the teams are realistic.

Well you can edit the teams if you want, but they are already made with all their players and that.

Just download them, unzip them, and paste them into a folder named SI/Football Manager 2010/graphics.

You will have to create the graphics folder first in all likelihood.

Then, in your display preferences tab on FM, untick the box labeled always use skin cache and tick the one labeled something like refresh on confirm. Then confirm.

I've followed the guide and saved it, it even said that it was vailid. When i go to start a new game, on the wizard it still only goes down to bsn/bss, What's up with that?

Yeah, don't save over the config file.

Save as English nonleague or some other such thing.

I think you need to make a new save file name.
